I went here for a late Saturday lunch at 2pm today with my family. Â The place wasn't busy, which was to be expected. Â There were maybe 3 tables occupied.
Right away, we were given homemade chips and 3 types of salsa: a smooth creamy orange sauce with a kick, salsa fresca, and a smooth creamy avocado sauce with a little punch of its own. Â My favorite salsa was the avocado, but all of them were pretty tasty.
I ordered 3 tacos with just onions and cilantro: 2 carne asada and 1 chile relleno. Â Everyone else ordered carne asada tacos as well, but with different toppings. Â You can have just onions and cilantro, or you can go all out and add lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese. Â I prefer simplicity when it comes to my tacos.
After we ordered, they brought out cups of chicken noodle soup with limes on the side. Â Delicious! Â I added a squeeze of lime to mine, but it wasn't really necessary. Â The soup was good all on its own.
Now, for the tacos... The chile relleno taco was not very flavorful. Â It was improved by a squeeze of lime and some salsa, but I probably won't order it again. Â The carne asada tacos were good, but not great. Â The meat was cut a bit on the thinner side, and the meat was cooked a bit more than I'd like. Â They were pretty tasty again with a squeeze of lime and some salsa.
El Gallo Bravo, you were good, but my heart still belongs to La Pasadita.
I had the worst experience I have EVER had at a restaurant here. Â It was my Birthday, and after a late night some of my friends and I decided to stop here for a late dinner. Â I probably took 2 bites out of my meal when I accidentally knocked my entire glass of water onto my plate. Â MOST restaurants would replace your meal no questions asked. Â Not here... they wanted me to pay for the meal I spilled my water in AND the new plate of food! Â They actually fought me on this for quite some time too. Â Who does this?? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The food wasn't even that great. Â I will never return to this restaurant again.
Review Source:Excellent! Live in the neighborhood & used to go to Pasadita, but they were inconsistent. Went in early Saturday  night, ordered a steak burrito, 2 steak tacos & chicken tostadas---all was great.  The steak was not over cooked- perfect. The toppings were fresh. the chicken in the tostada was pure meat--no weird gristle.  This is our new regular taco joint!
