Brasa Roja

I do not know if I went on the chef's day off or if they just didn't care, but I wanted to fall in love with this place and just could not.  I am obsessed with all restaurants similar to this one in Chicago.  I will spare naming them off, as I have no agenda. Ordered three different entree's in one sitting all were super bland and over cooked. : (

Hi, I am Jessica and I am addicted to anything Columbian and Thai food related. Brasa Roja is my new obsession. It is somewhat healthy, depending on what you get, you get a lot of food, it is fresh, and it is cheap. They have a bunch of items but I am going to promote the one showstopper...it is cheap than subway..it is better than subway ..( no it is not two footlongs)..it is the Chicken Dinner Special!

For $4.95 you can eat like a king on a budget!
You will get rotisserie chicken breast and a wing, with a crap load of rice, beans, and a salad. I think of this as a good thing and a bad thing. I love their food and the price is unmatched so this is a good thing. It is a bad thing because I live down the street. Too much of one thing is not good. Definately not good for people with foodie addictions like myself. It is just so tempting because the chickens are roasting in the window and the $4.95 sign lures you in..I have a hard time saying no.

I have to share that I did come here twice in one day. Within two hours. .. ..#fatgirlproblems. But hey, for $4.95  I am a winner of a chicken dinner and I am not afraid to say I am addicted.

we came for the highly reviewed roasted chicken! we ordered

whole rotisserie chicken - ok, but need more seasoning
rice beans
corn pancakes with cheese
plantain

everything was ok, just need more seasoning, but the service was great!
