The owner is a wonderful man and extremely helpful. Â It's a very 'vintage' type of bowling alley without trying to be. Â The beer is cheap, the bartender is kind and there are some very reasonably priced fried foods on the menu.....which is all I really care to eat when bowling. Â The only big improvement I would love to see is some better music on the jukebox - but other than that.....this place is a wonderful lil gem.
Review Source:I went here last week to watch my SO sub for another league...I must say I was confused as hell when I walked through the door...I didnt know what to expect...then I walked in to a 1970s time warp...
Eventhough this spot is extremely dated, it is clean, always seems to have open lanes, automatic scoring and friendly owners...and they have vintage video games (Ms. Pac Man :) and billiards...nice change of pace!
I laughed when we walked through the (unmarked) side door of this place (the door looked like it was coated in kitchen grease but it was just one of those opaque coverings over glass). Â Walk down the staircase and step back in time to 1974 ish. Â This is a throwback bowling alley at its finest. Â They do have electronic scoring so that's a plus (unlike Mahall's Lanes). Â Many leagues play on Saturday night so overhead tunes will be heard while those guys focus on rolling a ball down a wooden alley to hit pins. Â Beers? Â Oh yes...mostly in a can. Â 2 thumbs way up for them having Michelob Light in a can. Â Shoe rental is $2 and it's $5 a game for bowling. Â Fun place to spend a Saturday night. Â Pool and arcade games, too.
