Great bartender. Great sound. Decent seating. I was thrilled to see they offered Bibles. You can tell they try to run a classy place.
No wait staff. Crappy  concert staff. Do they have any AC in this place? It was miserably hot on a 68 degree evening! There were maybe 50 people there and the bathroom smelled horrible. My wife wouldn't even use the women's room. I would hate to go there when it is busy. If you get really drunk, none of this matters.
The Winchester doesn't look like much from the outside, but there's magic going on inside. It's  a no-bullshit venue run by people who are serious about good music. You'll find all genres here, from 80's pop acts to modern blues, with some big names you may not have seen around for a while but are happy to revisit. You can reserve a table near the stage for a special experience, or make yourself at home in the general seating area below. I don't think there's a bad sight line in the house. Drinks are cheap and bartenders are friendly.
