We can't get enough of this amazing take out when we visit LBI.  Everything is as authentic as it gets - eggplant dishes are the best!  It is a regular stop whenever we visit...

Best Italian on the island, hands down. The Chicken Parm, as noted by the other reviewers is a huge portion and delicious. The sauce is home made and when buying a few quarts to go this weekend they were still warm from having been freshly made. The meatballs are the size of baseballs and well seasoned.
One tip-- Thursdays- Sundays they make fried ravioli. The creamy consistency of the cheese filling is not to be missed.

To be quite frank, this is THE place for real Italian take-out on the island. All of the food is prepared in-house and the bread is delivered fresh daily.

The sandwiches are reasonably priced for what you get, As Tia pointed out, a 'half' is more than enough. To be honest, even a man of Big Stevie's stature has a tough time finishing one.

The prepared foods are TO DIE FOR!! All of it is made with top notch ingredients and prepared with care and attention to detail. If you are not sure as to what you should get, ask the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. But if you want a recommendation from me, try it all! My personal favorites are the Chicken Parmesan and the Stuffed Mushrooms .

Mario's is our favorite lunch spot in LBI. This place is the real deal if you are looking for an athentic Italian deli. In addition to insanely good sandwiches, they offer all sorts of delicious pasta salads and prepared foods like eggplant parm and cheese and crab stuffed mushrooms.

The sandwiches are huge. A "half" can easily feed two people. We like the turkey provolone (prepared Italian style) and the chicken parm.

Mario's also has fresh baked bread, cookies, and desserts.  All are delicious, I usually have to hold myself down from buying one of everything.

The also store stocks pastas, coffees, and olive oils from Italy. Two (minor) drawbacks. There is very little space inside and it's always pretty crowded. This is a to-go place only, they do not have any seating (although there is a bench a few yards down outside another store in the strip mall). Second, is the price. It's not cheap but so worth it.

We go everytime we're in LBI. Highly recommended.
