The food is good and the karaoke is fun, but this place is crawling with cockroaches! Was here last night for a going away party and I would have liked to go someplace else!

Never order food to go! Called ahead for an order and 45 minutes later it still wasn't ready!

What a fun place to go...very friendly service. The locals were nice and told me to get the potato chips, which were great. Drinks were really cheap and strong (I had to have them add more coke with my whiskey) but that's better than being weak. The karaoke was hilarious..thank god I don't sing..some of those people shouldn't, either! But it was amusing.

Went on Saturday, March 23rd. I wanted to check out this place during the day before I spent a Saturday night. I had dinner with chicken rice soup and the rib eye. It was delicious. Drinks are stiff and reasonable. Place is a lil small for dancing but I'll check it out one night.

One of the best karaoke bars in Orange County, if you like the dive bar feel and appreciate a great song selection, great KJ's and great sound systems. As a karaoke singer, these things are valuable to me. This is one of the few places that you can actually still bring your own discs if they don't have your song selections. There is a two drink minimum for karaoke and entertainment seating.

Prices are reasonable. Also the employees and regulars are very friendly. I have been going there for years and it is one of my favorites!

i stumbled into this place after eating dinner at the italian place next door. i was very pleasantly surprised. the space was very cozy...including high tables/chairs and booths all around. i decided to take a chance and sing a karaoke song after being encouraged by the dj. A STAR WAS BORN! i'm convinced i have a beautiful voice, and this place encouraged me to sing my little heart out. the bartender was very nice as well, and even she sang a song for us (Anne Murray) i LOVED it. i will definitely come back here for a drink or two. i've been told they have dancing on friday nights. this could end up being my new hang out. i'm considering having my birthday here next year...it's very spacious.

This has been a local watering hole for some time now. The drinks are always stiff, the lights are dimmed and the food is actually pretty good. 1 pool table, karaoke and a semi indoor patio for smokers. This is a great spot for a mellow lunch and if you like live music and stiff drinks it's even better in the evening!

Been here a couple of times with colleagues after work mostly for the jalapeno poppers (yumm!)! my friends love the chicken wings. i had a chance to talk with the chef the first time i was there and apparently he's vegetarian! so he offered to make me his favorite veggie burger (i had dinner plans so din't try it, but some day i will stay for the burger!). very friendly service and not crowded at all. it's a bit dark inside and i have yet to go at a time when they have live entertainment but i'm sure it would be fun!

Parking can be a bit of a pain depending on when you go and, depending on where you like to hang out, this place may seem a bit shady from the outside. No cover charge the 2 times i went there.

try the jalapeno poppers!

I have visited Marty's Bar & Grill on a couple of occasions and I have to say that I have had the best time. The live entertainment is EXCELLENT! The service is GREAT and the OWNER is VERY friendly. Most places I have visited have no personality or vibe. I would recommend this place for PARTIES, SPECIAL EVENTS or just some GOOD EATS with your friends. Drinks are fairly cheap but VERY strong.

Check out the THE BLUE MACHINE BAND when they perform there. They also have KARAOKE 5 nights a week and the KJ has an EXTENSIVE library. I give them 5 stars all day long. For the record, I don't give to me reviews but I had to on this one. Thanks Marty.

Tonight was my first visit to Marty's Bar and Grill. So there is a two drink minimum and no cover charge. Parking was kind of difficult, but not impossible. You can always park at one of the other near by strip malls. The service is pretty good considering how crowded it is, it might take some time, but you will eventually get your order. The Irish Nachos were actually pretty good, french fries covered in corned beef hash with ham and melted cheese. The actual nachos with chicken were not too good, most the platter was still full when we were done. Chicken strips and fries were pretty standard. The fries were good. I don't drink, but my friends said the drinks were good and stiff. Price for food and soda was really cheap.

This place is bumping on a Saturday with the majority of patrons over the age of 40 looking for a good time. It was kinda like a wrinkly meat market. The house band, OC Wave, I think, was definitely enthusiastic if not entirely on key. The dance floor was really crowded and everyone was having a good time. Definitely not a pretentious crowd and everyone was very friendly and nice!

I liked the crowd. It was diverse and friendly. This was not a meat market. The food was excellent, the live band was amazing. The service was excellent.

Let's get the primary colors out of the way: good cheap stiff drinks, efficient service even when it's standing room only, and always with a patient smile, and just a whole lot of no-creepy-pressure (aka no claws-out hoebags staring you down, and no vapid douchebag Newport Beach rejects also staring you down). Real people, real fun times!

A great house (?) band ("Is this Otis Day and the Knights? Are they gonna play Sham A Lam A Ding Dong?" -- let the Drunken Animal House Quotes Olympics begin) provided a smooth backdrop for this most random night of all random nights. Our fabulous crew eventually consisted of, in order from approximately late 20s to mid 60s:

-- Proverbial Boy
-- The Bestie
-- our great long-lost friend Meech
-- Korean Alex
-- Dr. Kurtis
-- Craiggers
-- Bonofide
-- Paisa Alex
-- my brother
-- Jefferson
-- Richard
-- Ralphie

This is so perfect for this random gathering. If you know any or all of these references, then you'll know just how awesomely a joint like McFadden's represents our friendships. You see old school signs, genuine photos from back in the day, college pennants, fantastic vinyl seating, a dark lustrously shining bar, and lots of flat panel TVs (ours were playing 10,000 BC and the Golf Channel replay of the http://Frys.com Championship... awesome).

Back in the day when this was McClure's, we dominated karaoke. I'm looking forward to getting back to those good times one of these days. Until then, I'm okay with McFadden's for the purposes of chilling (without cover charge -- parking can be tricky, but it's available around on the streets too), drinking, and having a great night with some of my most versatile friends.

I love this bar! They have wild and crazy karaoke five Sunday-Thursday and bands on weekends. The karaoke host is a lot of fun. They serve great food and drinks. I had a Rib Eye Steak a couple of weeks back and the steak was so great. It just melted in my mouth. It was the best steak that I have ever eaten. They also serve Prime Rib, King Crab, and a variety of other American foods. I highly recommend this place. The bar has entertainment every night of the week. They also have special promotions during the Monday Night Football Game. They give away many prizes. The last couple of weeks they have given away bicycles. It is so fun.

Just stumbled upon this gem of a dive last week (thanks to Yelp, of course) and now I am just counting down the days til football season. I can see myself hunkering down in one of the cozy, red booths with a cheap pitcher and my laptop to watch games all day. (Go Broncos!)

Anyway, they have a ton of TVs, friendly service, a bunch of regulars, and food (I won't comment on quality yet, but honestly I don't really judge a dive bar on food).

See you in September, McFadden's. A lot.

This place has my favorite decorations-vintage!

I have only tried their homemade potato chips and those were absolutely delicious. Their drinks are very strong, just the way I like them! They have a great happy hour, just make sure you are aware of what qualifies. The happy hour is 11-7 all week long.

The crowd can be a little older, at least whenever I go in it is. I have had the best time regardless. I will have to come back for the karaoke nights.

Shhh... Don't tell anyone this is a really fun place if you like dancing, drinking and live music. We like to get our sweat on and keep on dancing all night long. Older crowd but fun!

I've been a regular since it was McClure's and I love a lot of the renovations that were made. Karaoke is best on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The drinks are good and the staff is great, however the food is TERRIBLE. Seriously, the only thing "safe" to order on the ENTIRE menu is the homemade potato chips- everything else tastes like it went straight from freezer burn to the fryer. Dripping in grease with absolutely no flavor. The bar has such potential to be great, but they really need to work out a better food situation.

Go for the karaoke and stiff drinks!

Skip every food item on the menu - especially the pizza and potato skins (who knew you could screw those up so badly? the pizza crust is super soggy and the potato skins...let's just say in one bite I had oil oozing down my arm. gross!) - EXCEPT DO order the AWESOME homemade potato chips with a side of ranch. They come out fresh, hot and delicious!

Do know, the kitchen closes early, at either 10pm or 11pm - lame! If you're lucky though, the taco man will drive up out front and cook tacos out of the back of his SUV right about when you're about two drinks in and in need of food. Yay taco man!

The beer selection is a little off - what bar whose name starts with "Mc" doesn't serve Guinness??

Karaoke is the best when Rodney hosts, on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.

I had a BLAST at McFadden's

I should get a tshirt that says that.

Granted, a big part of that blast was having a snark-fest aimed at Phil Shane and his eclectic followers. He is absurd.

The highlights: excellent drinks and perfect chips. They fry their own and achieved the perfect balance of grease and crunch. They serve plain old American bar food. It ain't much to look at, but is surprisingly tasty.

And they pour excellent drinks. At great prices.

Met a darling old gal in the ladies room (where there is but one stall -1 star). She proceeded to tell me that she hasn't been out dancing for months because she had double knee replacement, that she was wasted on vicodin, and would try to hurry but her girdle is a bitch. Almost peed myself.
Later she discovered the 'structural support' located on the side of the dance floor. She worked that stripper pole! We were laughing so hard we could barely run over and slip her dollar bills. But we did, and she and her hubby found it hilarious. The joy of getting old: you can dance like nobody's watching. They even tried to return the money when they took a break. No way! You earned it!

Karaoke must be spectacular.

Has all sports packages.

And excellent drinks.

McFadden's is a twisted time warp into the past with their high backed studded red vinyl booths and amazing prices. Walked into this place trying to kill some time as a friend got his car serviced. Boy was I happy.

Happy hour 11-7 all week long! Need I say more?

$3 imported 16oz drafts (stella)
$2 domestic 16oz drafts (fat tire, bud, coors, blue moon)
and free snack buffet (deviled eggs, chips, fresh guac, salsa, beans and wieners)

The clientele are regulars, a bunch of old folks (really old folks, one guy even had an oxygen tank) who all seem to know each other. They show up at the same time everyday with their drinks waiting for them. Service is fantastic, friendly, albeit it slow, but what can you expect from a bartender that's probably 3x my age.

At night live bands and karaoke. Not sure how that crowd is, but I'm willing to come back and check it out. If you're ever in the area between 11-7 and feel like grabbing a drink, come here. You'll chat with some old & wise folks as well as watch whatever you want on 1 of their many, many flatscreen tvs.
