This place is great. Â Nothing too fancy, but not too plain, either. Â You'll find a nice list of specials to choose from, and never a wait for a table. Â The servers are super friendly. Â If the coffee were better, this place would draw a solid five stars from me, but it's always awful. Â No matter - get some water and juice, and try the Steve omelette. Â You'll be glad you did.
Review Source:as sara w said, this place is completely dead- even on a sunday morning in the middle of the summer when all other breakfast places have lines out the door. Â which i find odd as this place boasts an obnoxious sign out front alleging to be "south jersey's #1 breakfast"
given the lack of crowd, i was skeptical.
unlike sara though, we were too lazy and hungry to go elsewhere so stuck it out. Â service was decent and food was quite nice. Â i really liked the menu and ended up going with corned beef hash topped with poached eggs which was pretty damn good. Â i would definitely come back- food was very satisfying. Â other menu items looked large and tasty. food alone= 4 stars
the negatives: cash only?!?! get with it! i am on vacation how dare you make me carry cash! pricing was out of whack. some items are cheap (as they should be given this is a shitty hole in the wall with zero decor or ambiance and everything about it is generally cheap-looking) but some are way overpriced for what you get. Â examples: coffee is $2.50 and omelets (which are cheap as hell to make) are $8.50.
Worst of all, there is a grossly offensive sign over the breakfast bar that reads "plate sharing $1" THE NERVE!!! i was so deeply offended by that. if anything we are saving you a dish to wash and HELLO stop acting all fancy you don't even accept credit cards. smh. for that, you lose a star
