I have passed by this spot and aways wanted to see what it is about. Finally, I was able to step on in. I was pleasantly surprised what I found.
I originally thought that this was just a bar...well it is definitely not. There was more of a fine dining aspect to Mr. Lucky's but with slightly dated furniture. However, I think this adds to the ambience and makes it feel that even families (with little kiddies) are welcome.
It was such a nice evening that the patio area was open. FYI this is where points are deducted. The patio was nice and it was cool area. However there was not that much lighting and there was a gross smell, which is believed to come from a fountain that is on the patio. It was very distracting when eating.
The food was good. I liked the salad...it surprisingly came with beets and beans on it. I liked it. And the bread was super yummy and came out nice and warm. My main dish, a calamari steak with a lemon sauce with capers was good too.
I would come back on a more special occasion because this is Pleasant Hill's casual fine dining location.
It really is very hard for me to do this because I loved this place and sent so many of my friends and family here for food and drink, after last night 2/2/13 my family and I had dinner a few cocktails, this place has gone DOWN HILL , I can only hope the owner reads this and take notice of some major FAILS so we have a population that will put up with mediocre, but your about to loose the folks whom have patronized your place....not sure if you have enough new comers to keep moving forward with a profit. I like the owner but he needs to notice that it!s more then drinks that make a mainstay Bar &Grill. First on the list, house keeping, your restaurant is getting dirty , the bathrooms are dirty, the sinks back up and the ladies room has a problem with loose toilet seats, get that fixed and quit using dirty mop water from the greasy  kitchen to clean the bathroom floors , you can see the dirt is just flung around and it's gross. Second, the food station , you know the one we can all see , the one that in front of the cooks/ food pickup , it's dirty and untidy, regardless of food rushes the place is getting shabby looking at this area(note the dinning room is still nice) Three, the food has gone down hill, what is going on?...your food was great and had a better quality a year ago!,,, did the staff change, is the kitchen losing it luster, do you have staff that's just working for a paycheck and not watching out for you or your restaurants welfare.....to me it's time for a staff meeting to save your establishment from loss of revenue and local shame. The only reason I'm post such harsh words is because we want to keep referring and coming to your restaurant ....and to be completely honest the past two times we have eaten here we felt a little sick afterwords....please step up to the plate and make it better, make the kitchen staff accountable for the food they put out for us to eat
