I have passed by this spot and aways wanted to see what it is about. Finally, I was able to step on in. I was pleasantly surprised what I found.
I originally thought that this was just a bar...well it is definitely not. There was more of a fine dining aspect to Mr. Lucky's but with slightly dated furniture. However, I think this adds to the ambience and makes it feel that even families (with little kiddies) are welcome.
It was such a nice evening that the patio area was open. FYI this is where points are deducted. The patio was nice and it was cool area. However there was not that much lighting and there was a gross smell, which is believed to come from a fountain that is on the patio. It was very distracting when eating.
The food was good. I liked the salad...it surprisingly came with beets and beans on it. I liked it. And the bread was super yummy and came out nice and warm. My main dish, a calamari steak with a lemon sauce with capers was good too.
I would come back on a more special occasion because this is Pleasant Hill's casual fine dining location.
It really is very hard for me to do this because I loved this place and sent so many of my friends and family here for food and drink, after last night 2/2/13 my family and I had dinner a few cocktails, this place has gone DOWN HILL , I can only hope the owner reads this and take notice of some major FAILS so we have a population that will put up with mediocre, but your about to loose the folks whom have patronized your place....not sure if you have enough new comers to keep moving forward with a profit. I like the owner but he needs to notice that it!s more then drinks that make a mainstay Bar &Grill. First on the list, house keeping, your restaurant is getting dirty , the bathrooms are dirty, the sinks back up and the ladies room has a problem with loose toilet seats, get that fixed and quit using dirty mop water from the greasy  kitchen to clean the bathroom floors , you can see the dirt is just flung around and it's gross. Second, the food station , you know the one we can all see , the one that in front of the cooks/ food pickup , it's dirty and untidy, regardless of food rushes the place is getting shabby looking at this area(note the dinning room is still nice) Three, the food has gone down hill, what is going on?...your food was great and had a better quality a year ago!,,, did the staff change, is the kitchen losing it luster, do you have staff that's just working for a paycheck and not watching out for you or your restaurants welfare.....to me it's time for a staff meeting to save your establishment from loss of revenue and local shame. The only reason I'm post such harsh words is because we want to keep referring and coming to your restaurant ....and to be completely honest the past two times we have eaten here we felt a little sick afterwords....please step up to the plate and make it better, make the kitchen staff accountable for the food they put out for us to eat
Review Source:I have been here about a 12 times over the last 3 years; most recently 11/2012.
The food is consistently good. The soup, salad and warm bread with every dinner is nice. The dinners (steak, burger, calimari dore, pastas, seafood) are always good and the service, though sometimes slow, is pleasant.
Prices are fair, and ambiance is very nice; it can pass for romantic. The bar area is generally pretty full of folks from 25 to 55. The owners always decorate the restaurant for whatever season it is, and I find that a nice touch.
Always clean, Mr. Lucky's is a gem of a find.
We just had drinks and an appetizer so that is what the review is based on. Â I thought the crown in the bar was nice. Â There were some Tv's playing sports that people seem to like. Â We got the sampler appetizer plate and I drank martinis and my wife had white wine. Â Service was good. Â Drinks were good. Â Appetizer was pretty good. Â It was all fried the same. Â There were onion rings, egg rolls, those were both great. Â Then the chicken strips and shrimp were just decent and the calamari was so-so. Â I have no real complaints. Â I will go back for more of the same. Â I am not sure what dinner is like. Oh and parking is pretty bad. Â I mean there is a lot but it is full and tough to navigate, but my legs aren't broken.
Review Source:Mr Lucky's is one of our favorite date night locations since it is just down the street from where we live. We usually go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for half price wine night, excellent selections for great prices! Love their Louis M. Martini Cab for something like $17 a bottle. Scotty is a wonderful bartender and always remembers my husbands drink, and that I always want to look at the wine selection (just in case something else looks good, like the Peachy Canyon Zin or the Piper Sonoma Champagne). Food wise, there have been hit and misses, but we go there for the drinks mostly, but the STEAK BITES ROCK!!!! We get an order medium rare every single time we go there. The horseradish sauce with the steak bites...omg...I'm making myself hungry...
Other good food: the Scallop spinach salad when it is on special, the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. Breakfast is good too.
Pass on the shrimp cocktail. they use bay shrimp and it is just a watery bland mess.
Love sitting on the patio when it is nice outside, so peaceful with a creek below. You wouldn't really expect from look at the front. Inside we usually sit in the bar area which isn't too loud or crowded on the nights we go. Waitresses are usually exceptional. We did have one waitress that seemed very distracted and inattentive when serving us, and actually poured a large quantity of a bottle of wine we had brought all over our table and menus. We were reimbursed with a drink from the bar which was nice but still...I don't believe I have seen that waitress again. Every other waitress we have had has been great though!
I've been to this place twice now.
On my second time going in there the place was empty again, like the first time, except for one table with a family at it, and a couple at another table. There was absolutely no one at the front desk to seat me, I had to go looking for someone. Once I was actually seated, it took the waitress at least five minutes just to ask me what I wanted to eat. She was the only one there but there was nothing going on, and she wasn't doing anything.
I ordered the guacamole burger. Food got to me in good time but the food was so plain. The burger had no flavor to it, just so plain and tasteless. The guacamole also had no taste to it, and it looked like green peanut butter. When I think of guacamole I want chunky, with tomato and onion and good flavor. I ordered potato salad on the side and it was my third disappointment for lunch. It had egg and olives and just didn't taste like a good potato salad.
My waitress never came back to check on me, never asked how the food was, just went along her business doing nothing. Once I received the bill she was cheery, maybe because I was leaving, or because she was closer to getting her tip.
The one thing that was great about the place was the bathroom was immaculate. Other then that, I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not for breakfast or lunch.
I have been here a couple of times.
At first I thought that it was a chill spot to hang and have drinks with my friends but I think not.... It's like such a weird environment. I'm in my mid twenties and the people are very old and its uncomfortable to have people hitting on you thats older than my dad.
Drinks are decent so not really that impressive.
In the two times I've been here the service has been very slow, even when there were only two other tables full. Â The food was good but nothing special. Â Both times we were there a young brunette waited on us and she seemed to have an attitude. Â One time I ordered pancakes for my two year old and saw that it didn't come with butter on the side so I asked her if it was already on there. Â She said "no, do you want some?" Â Duh! Â Have you ever been to a place that didn't automatically give you butter for pancakes? Â So with a snotty look on her face she got me some butter. Â
AND the reason I ordered a side of pancakes for my two year old is because the meals on the "children's menu" were $8.95!!! Â What a joke! Â Yes, it came with a soda and fries in addition to the main portion of the meal but what restaurant charges the same for kids meals as the other items on their regular menu? Â Elephant Bar and BJ's charge between $5-$6, and the food and service is so much better and they are restaurant chains.
AND to top it off they charge a $2 plate splitting fee! Â TACKY TACKY TACKY!!! Â Like it costs the restaurant and additional two dollars to wash an extra plate. Â Needless to say we won't be going back.
I do like having this place within walking distance. Â We can stumble home after imbibing some lovely cheap cocktails. Â The food is, as one yelper put it, "stable". Â Dinner is expensive, but serviceable. Â Lunch is a better choice. Â I've found the service to be absolutely fantastic. Â They are always kind and prompt and sweet to our small person. Â Servers carry the high chair over and water/bread us right away. Â The kids meals are ridiculously expensive ($8.95), so be ready to share with the little ones. Â Overall, Lucky's is great for lunch, good in a pinch for dinner and a great place to drink...
Review Source:Unlike its Walnut Creek brother, you can stretch out even when it's busy on a Saturday night. Unlike its Walnut Creek brother, you can hear the jukebox. Unlike its Walnut Creek brother, the short wine list is unexpectedly impressive. Unlike its Walnut Creek brother, full table service is offered. Just like its Walnut Creek brother, you can have a sloppy good time or just a couple of late-night beers at this place. But unlike its Walnut Creek brother, this is a solid neighborhood bar even on the weekends, not a downtown meat market.
Review Source:I love this restaurant! They have the best chicken Cesar salad in town and I crave their salads. The staff is very nice and I have never had bad service there.
The outdoor seating is BEAUTIFUL! Whenever I'm outside I feel like I can sit back, relax and enjoy a delicious meal. This restaurant has a pleasant environment and the holiday decorations are adorable. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend in a heartbeat.
I'd been wanting to try this place - boy do I wish I had read the reviews first and not wasted my time or money. Can you hear me people?!
Upon walking in, I cracked up at the sign by the door which advised that "do rags" were not allowed. So I figured this place has to be good since they have a sense of humor - again, should have read the reviews first.
We were seated and I was surprised by the interior decor - pleasantly surprised. I don't know what I expected ... I thought it would be dumpy inside, I guess. I did wish it was warmer outside so I could have sat outside because the patio looked nice. Vowed that next time I'd come on a nice warm evening and sit outside.
Almost as soon as we sat down warm bread and ice water was placed on the table - good thing too because was I HUNGRY!! The menu wasn't spectacular but there were a few things on it that looked good. The specials consisted of about 5 items which also sounded good. I pulled my favorite "trick" and asked the waitress what her favorite three items on the menu were. Lucky for me, one of the items she chose was one I was looking at - Calamari Steak Piccata, which I then ordered. My friend took her recommendation of the Shrimp and Scallops in a Creamy Marinara (it was a special). We both opted for the Caesar salad with our dinners.
Our salads came out in a reasonable amount of time but they were very bland. I could see the dressing on them but there was no ... umph to them. This should have been a sign ....
Our food came out 5-10 minutes later and were piping hot (good sign in my book!). The portions were large and looked really good. When I put the first bite of Calamari into my mouth I was really, really disappointed. All I could taste was egg. Did they forget that when you batter something, you're supposed to use flour too? I thought, well maybe the next bite will be better. Nope. The two pieces of Calamari were egged. Besides that it was good - the sauce was delicious and the veggies were good too (except for the cauliflower but that's just because I don't like cauliflower).
My friend's meal on the other hand ...It looked more like soup than pasta there was so much sauce on it. He counted 4 shrimp and a couple of scallops. And, it was pretty bland.
This is when the smart phones came out to check on the reviews ... We had a great laugh at the reviews and marked many of them "useful" or "funny". Lesson learned - check the reviews before you go ... except it made for great conversation!
I'm still considering going here to sit on the patio but for a beer and pub grub. I mean, can you really screw up fried food or nachos? My friend thinks so. Let's just say I won't rush back here but I may try it again ... maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into it like many of the other reviewers and hoping it'll get better. In reality, I know it won't.
An Alcoholics version of Denny's, but without the quality.
We went in for breakfast and quickly discovered this is not where you take your six year old daughter or any one under the age of 16 at any time. Â We were sitting in the restaurant between the couple drinking hard drinks (not Mimosas, but like doubles on the rocks) and talking about their raunchy sex life and the table one over ordering six Bloody Mary's recounting the night of drinking and barfing with their 15 year old daughter. Â I guess everyone feels free to drop the F bomb after a couple drinks at 10:30 AM on a holiday weekend.
We had a simple breakfast order, and they got one of the two orders right and thank god it was my daughters! Â I can live with 10 minuet late-burned-wrong-type-of-bread toast. Â I tried to send it back to the kitchen, but our waitress would do a drive by every time I had a bite in my mouth. Â In the end, after getting up to get my own cup of coffee refill I decided it was not worth the effort and I did not need the toast. Â I guess Mr. Lucky's was trying to tell me I did not need the carbs.
Food quality was OK, what I would expect from Denny's, but Denny's does not burn your toast 10 minutes later.
For anyone with a family I would say STAY AWAY! For anyone not in the meat market or who does not want to hear about some woman's raunchy last night sex, STAY AWAY!
But may favorite part is the sign at the front saying "Gentlemen are requested to wear shirts with sleeves." Â WTF? Â If you need to excluded the dudes going to get hammered in wife beaters, then your business model is flawed.
I have become very fond of Mr. Lucky's for lunch, the cozy bar and friendly staff, and great food. Burgers and their Cobb salad to die for and the soups are homemade and delicious.
Have had dinner there in the dining room one time before and wouldn't have given that 4 stars, perhaps even 2, sauces on various dishes tasted canned and were all the same - from Dore to Piccata. But don't miss  lunch!
After buying our Christmas Tree at the nearby corner of Taylor and Pleasant Hill Road/Alhambra, Gayle wanted to go to Lunch. A few years ago, a closed Mr. Lucky's had been part of a multi-suburb attempt to have Dinner, and we vowed that someday we'd come back.
Using Ivy R.'s well written prose, Gayle and I are probably now part of the older middle age crowd, but without any drunken slurring or hankering for a Sidecar. I also enjoyed Emily and Jac's (one of the Yelp Power Couples) reference to keeping it classy. However, Mr. Lucky's strikes me more as a casual neighbourhood place that my parents would enjoy and definitely a step above Carrow's. In any event, we walked in and were greeted and seated promptly and with very little Lunch business going on. But perhaps this place takes on a whole new elderly, alcohol fueled, and sleeveless shirt persona in the evening...
We took a booth by the back window, and heck I didn't even know that there was a Creek behind their deck. The place was nicely decorated for the Holidays, and both Gayle and I enjoyed catching snippets of the Sharks losing effort (3-1) against "Les Habitants de Montréal".
The food was surprisingly very good. We both enjoyed our Tuna Melt, and decided later that splitting a single sandwich might have been a better idea. Our respective sides of Clam Chowder and Cole Slaw were fresh and delicious, especially considering that we were really hankering for the less nutritious options of French Fries and/or Onion Rings. All of this was nicely washed down with a pint of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.
So the next time Gayle's Mom or my parents are in town, or if we happen to be in the neighbourhood, we'll be back for another taste of Mr. Lucky's.
We came by for some drinks the other Sunday afternoon. Well, I had waters the husband had drinks.
They had no custom cocktail menu to speak of but there is a full bar so you can get all your favorites.
Our bill was rather small for the few drinks my husband had. I think I overheard someone talk about Happy Hour specials. You cant beat a restaurant for having Happy Hour even on Sundays. That's like music to my ears.
My husband really enjoyed listening to the regulars at the bar. It seems to be an older middle aged crowd. And all of whom love to drink by the slurring and terrible car talk that was going on.
We did get to check out the menu and its your basic American fare with decent prices.
I would like to come back again one day for lunch. Possibly have a Cosmo.
Oh goodness, I see myself in some of the those drunken regulars.
I'm gonna give this 3 and a half stars. I'm a huge fan of Wednesday night Wine night. 1/2 price bottles, you can't beat that. The food is good, not great but good. A little pricey for my taste. they have a great wine selection, decent mixed drinks and no beer menu in sight??
I've never been there for karaoke but I'll update when i have!
being my first visit, i wasn't sure what to expect. Â It wasn't crowded for a Sunday lunchtime, and we were seated out on the back patio, which was very pretty.
We split a reuben sandwich and french fries, which was still more than enough for one person, so I'd imagine that a full order for one person would be hard to eat. Â It comes on nicely toasted rye bread, just enough sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on the side. Â The fries were lightly golden brown and not overly crunch.
Our waitress was not overly attentive, and we had to have the hostess flag her down to bring our check.
all in all, I may be willing to give this place one more try, but I was not all that impressed
I moved to Pleasant Hill last week, and had my first meal in town at Mr. Lucky's. Â We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was pretty empty. Â We sat in the main dining room, in a comfortable booth. Â There is a nice patio area out back, too. Â
Our waitress was incredibly nice and personable. Â She even brought up little tasters of the soup of the day so we could decide whether or not we wanted it. Â We did. Â Their clam chowder is amazing. Â For my main course, I had their grilled salmon, with veggies and red potatoes. Â Very good! Â All around, a great reliable neighborhood joint.
I'm going to write this in two sections, Bar and Food.
Bar: You couldn't ask for a better bar that makes you feel like a regular. Talented Bartenders, Good beer selection, Good wine selection. Sometimes seating is an issue, and once they lost my credit card (It was found a night later UNDER the register, haha!). The only reason I don't give a full 5 Star rating is the tacky machines that have been put in to generate more money. They are those "end of the bar worse odds than a slot machine, pay to play" type games. [Four Stars]
Food: The food isnt bad. Its nothing to write home about but it delivers on what it promises. That being said, its a little on the pricey side for what you get, from an $11 burger with fries (honestly comparable to a Carrows) to a $28 Filet (That I am yet to have cooked to a true Black and Blue). Â Most of the items on the app menu are clearly frozen, then deep fried. What they lack in quality however they make up for in quantity. The food is served in huge portions that will be hard to finish in one sitting. That being said, if you're just looking for something to put in your stomach to soak up the booze, this does the job. [2 Stars]
If you're in the mood to embarrass yourself and your friends, head to Mr. Lucky's on Thursdays and Saturdays after 10pm for your chance to do just that!
Karaoke throw-down in full effect at this joint, people.
The joint is such a dive, and there's only ever about a dozen or so people there for the karaoke, but it's always the same 12 people, so we've become something of a family of weirdos. Keep an eye out for "Crispy" and John Z. The lady who looks like a strung-out meth addict, she ain't so good, though. Prime opportunity for a bathroom break when she's on the mic.
Doug, the barkeep, is cooler than a polar bear's toenails, and that dude mixes a stiff drink. You'll think you have the best singing voice in no time, flat.
Nom nom nom......
Yum dinner... AH-MAZING breakfast. Portions are huge, best gravy I've ever had, hashbrowns get their crunch on. I've always had great service, back patio is also nice.
They lack one star because their mimosa's are a bit pricey, but their drink prices are very reasonable otherwise.
4 stars for the atmosphere and down-to-earth staff.
3 stars for the food quality.
1 star for the beer selection - is worse than anything I've ever seen at any bar in the East Bay. Â Seriously, a hotel bar has a better beer selection.
1 star for the price of food versus quality and ambiance.
The wedge was yummy and the steak good. Â The sauce that came with the steak bites though . . .EXTRA YUM!
We sat out back on the deck and had fun throwing extra french fries in the creek at the fish.
This place is your typical neighborhood joint. Â REALLY good, patient and friendly with high energy kids.
I continue to enjoy Mr. Lucky's! It touts itself as "your neighborhood bar and grill" and I have to tell you, you always feel very comfortable when you're there. From the moment you walk in you're greeted like an old friend. Â
We had dinner there Friday night and once again we enjoyed it. We started with Clam Chowder and it passed my wife's high standards. She hates it when it's too thick and starchy and this was the right consistentcy and had a lot of clams!
My wife had a Halibut special with a lemon sauce and capers while I had the Seafood Pasta with alfredo sauce. Both of uis were very pleased with our selections.
The Bartenders know what they are doing and the drinks are always generously poured and done right! The servers are very attentive and have wonderful senses of humor. You'll have a great time with Julie and Robin especially! Randy, the owner, is a wonderful guy and if he can ever slow down, you'll enjoy talking with him.
If you're looking for an enjoyable evening and a good meal, try the "neighborhood bar & grill" out. You'll be happy you did. Next, I have to try their weekend breakfasts! I hear they're very good.
A lot of the reviews here only have 3 stars for Mr. Lucky's.
I think this is a 5 star place mainly because we went back several times. To elaborate:
We have had several different dishes. There was nothing outstanding, but then again, there was nothing bad.
The portions are substantial, so you get your moneys worth.
The drinks are inexpensive and good (the bloody mary's are pretty spicy, so we asked them to tone them down a bit)
Why do we like it....probably because the place 'feels good'. We will continue going there into the future
Also, we live within a mile of the establishment. I would not suggest driving from SF to go there, but if you live within 5 miles, give it a try.
Mr. Lucky's is a great alternative to Carrow's or Marie Callendar's or something. The food doesn't aim very high but it delivers on its promises.
I appreciate that they have a modest dress code because I really hate seeing some dude's hairy armpits while I eat. The hostess/server who waited on us was nice in a I'm-being-nice-to-you-because-it's-my-job sort of way. I felt like we were inconveniencing her in some way. We were seated in the bar area since there was a private party going on in the main dining room. It's a nice bar and wasn't noisy early in the afternoon.
Their menu has a lot of variations on two basic themes. Mr. Lucky's is a good place to go if you want a sandwich or salad (I'm lumping burgers in with sandwiches here). If you don't want either of those things it's pretty slim pickings. That being said, my Reuben sandwich was really good. The rye bread was toasted nicely and had lots of pastrami and sauerkraut with thousand island dressing on the side (technically a Reuben should be made with corned beef but pastrami works almost as well). It was simple but delicious. Sandwiches come with the option of onion rings which I liked. The batter was light and crispy and they were not overly oily.
It was a not bad lunch with not bad service. Good basics but nothing to get excited about.
Jac C. and I had lunch here yesterday. Â
The service was good. We were seated right away and the waitress was pleasant but not overly nice. Â We ordered Guinness which they have on tap (including three other beers I think). Â I always appreciate beer on tap, especially if Guinness is one of the choices. Â They have an extensive menu that mostly consists of typical bar food - salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Â I ordered the hot pastrami that both the menu and the waitress said it was good. Â It had pastrami, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pepperoncinis on nicely toasted french bread. Â The sandwich was tasty but not something I will necessarily be craving to go back and eat again. They have a lot of drink deals, two of which Rachel B. mentioned below. Â
There is a dress code posted outside and they have an additional sign on the host station that says "men must wear shirts with sleeves". Â I'm assuming that they had a lot of missing sleeves in the past to warrant the sign. Â Thanks for keeping it classy Mr. Lucky's.
This is a typical bar and grill American food joint. Nothing over the top awful or super duper fantastic about this place.
Some of the items on the menu had descriptions while others did not.
I ordered the taco salad minus guacamole.... we visited around 2pm when the place was practically vacant, so I can't imagine there were many orders. I wouldn't expect a mistake with my order when it's so slow, but I got the guac on my salad - booooo! Once I got my salad back without guac, it was good. My friend ordered a hamburger and fries and it looked delicious!
A typical place with typical menu items, nothing exotic here!
I've both eaten here in the restaurant section and come to solely drink at the bar and the one word that sums up this place is "Meh".
While the waitresses are super super nice. The food that is coming out of that kitchen is just so tasteless. Â I ordered the grilled salmon and it was really over cooked. They even managed to screw up the salad by drowning it in ranch. If you want food of this quality your better off going to Denny's, so you at least get a reasonable price for the quality.
As for the bar, the decor is fantastic. It really has a nice feel with the nice flat screens TVs and a beautiful oak finish surrounding the bar and spacious booths. It looks fantastic! The problem is though that some of the bartenders can be really rude! I've actually seen the elder bald bartender make a girl or two cry with his sarcasm. Also, you better be into NASCAR because that all they show.
My final verdict? Â Unless you can walk to this bar, I'd skip it.
Okay, after a 3 strikes and you're out, Â promise made to myself NEVER TO EAT HERE AGAIN...I gave it one last shot. Â (Mostly because of a gnawing hunger and a lingering memory of a great Walt's Special in the Walnut Creek shop) Â
Ladies & Gentlemen of the jury, I must say that they are finally up and running. Â It was good! Â Darned good! Â Lunchtime fare consisted of a blackened shrimp ceasar (shrimp cooked to perfection with some nice spice) and my pal got the "Wedgie"...Cute name for a wedge salad with iceberg lettuce, and TONS of good stuff on top for only $5.95 (The best deal going...in fact the only deal going!) We split the steakbites... an item that never goes wrong, even in the worst of times. Â Two nice stiff margaritas and these east bay mommies were ready for a little nap with a nice full tummy and a light afternoon haze. Â
Thank you Mr. Lucky's for not sucking again. Â You had me so, so worried at first but I guess it takes a while to get the kinks out of a new shop. Â If you can repeat the performance of our lovely ladies lunch a few more times, I'll bump you up to 4 stars. Â If the majority of your prices matched the decor and clientele, I'd give you 5 stars. (Read: NOT $17.00 fried Chicken when KFC is 2 miles away!)
This place is great. It's just down the road from my place and I always meet the most interesting people when I sit at the bar alone. The bartenders pour the drinks strong, and are very nice and watch your drink for you when you go to the restroom. My last venture here left me with a invitation to mexico and 2 40'somethings buying me drinks. It's not really anything special but its a great neighborhood bar.
Review Source:This place looked very popular from the minute it opened. I drive by regularly and decided to check it out.
We ate in the main dining room ( the room wihtout the bar in it). The food was below average overall and the atmosphere in the dining room was non-existant. The drink we ordered - mojito - was horrible. As though they were never trained on how to make one.
The chicken dish was rubbery and of poor quality. They get a star for the Lucky Burger - but how back can you mess up a burger?
Due to its neighborhood location I thought, before I ate the meal, it might be a good spot to take my child after work. The kids meal prices -averaging $9 each - put a stop to that. Even nice restaurants with good food charge half that price for a kids meal.
Sorry Mr. Lucky, but this is one neighborhood family who won't be back.
This review is based solely on the bar and the excellent bartenders. Â Sit at the bar! Â The drinks are stiff, the newly remodeled interior is very nice and the bar staff are great.
I've never had a single bite to eat there so I have no advice on that aspect although it seems to carry a hefty price tag.
The crowd is a group of locals who are very nice. Â Its a terrifically stereotypical blend of p-hill and Martinez. Â Well behaved group, which is a nice change from the WC fight club that has recently emerged in downtown WC.
