First time at Mrs. Murphy today....seated immediately (around 6 pm on Sunday night); service was prompt. Good to excellent beer selection (it's a restaurant, not a bar!)...waiter was knowledgeable on the beer (that is, he agreed with my choice for Sarah) as well as on the menu. Both had the potato leek soup....excellent. Sarah had the stuffed trout...very good, while I had 1/2 slab on the ribs....not having any sides, while 'current' is a little distracting....$5 for potatoes is a little much...

But...all in all....a good spot / will be back.

We were killing time in the area at 5:10pm Saturday night. It was pretty busy even that early with two parties and many people eating dinner. We sat at the bar since we just wanted a drink before we had to head somewhere else.

It's a beautiful space with ornate woodwork and a fireplace and cool wall hangings. It was also very loud! There was three bartenders and one bus boy (or bar back) and the entire visit from ..... ordering, to getting the check, to paying took a long time and we had to hunt the staff down or wave at them. I think they were in a groove w their tasks behind the bar and talking to people. Or we were invisible. Not a big deal but a bit annoying considering how well staffed they were and that we were in a time crunch.

We peeked at the menu and I have to agree with Ms. Colleen C.'s review that many of the items are overpriced for what they are....$18.50 Shepherds Pie....in an Irish place up North? Isn't it beef bits, veggies, and mashed potatoes? $15.50 Fish and Chips...it's fried fish chunks (prolly haddock or cod) and French fries. That's just two examples. I'm sure they taste good but let's not get crazy or anything.

When we left I had to point out the half drunk pint of beer on a table next to the hostess stand in the foyer that had been there since we entered.

Giving it a 3 since I didn't try the food- yet!

(the website i think has been down for some time or not compatible w Apple. Nothing happens when I open it. Ugh. Not cool.)

I've been here a handful of times and always enjoy the experience. The food is good (I haven't had the ribs yet, but have heard they're fabulous) and the beer selection is good. Plus, I love the coziness of the bar and the friendly bartenders.

A big plus - they sometimes have live music, which is hard to find in such an intimate setting.

Order the ribs!
Have a few good beers, then order the corned beef!

Needed an Irish breakfast so decided to give Mrs. Murphy and Sons a try. We were the first and only ones there in the morning and service was quick and friendly. The breakfast was really good--especially the blood pudding and the coffee. Prices seemed reasonable. Why four stars instead of 5? Less than full-size pints.

Even though it's a really big space, it's a really cozy restaurant. Hearty food and amazing ribs!

Great experience. Loved the food. Atmosphere was nice. Service was outstanding and fast. Bartender was very friendly and gave us some free samplings of beer without request. He just recognized we were interested in the beer selection and brought us multiple beers to taste, even after we had made our decision. He wasn't trying to sell us on anything, just wanted us to taste the beer and enjoy ourselves, which we did!

Went to this restaurant before a show at Martyr's strictly due to its close proximity to the music venue. Ordered a flatbread, which arrived overwhelmingly salty and uneatable. Kindly asked our bartender, Lou, to send it back to the kitchen due to the saltiness. What happened next exemplifies over and above customer service.

Not only did Lou offer to comp me whatever I wanted off the menu as a result, the chef - who realized he had way over salted one of the flatbread ingredients (I wasn't crazy) - sent a whole new flatbread home with me, free of charge, because he felt so badly about what had happened. I have never experienced such outstanding customer service.

Eh. Not impressed.

Beer selection was great, dinner however, was not.

The mussels were tiny, fishy tasting and gritty. Bread was dry and unoriginal.
Fish and chips - greasy and 80% heavy breading. Fries were, well, fries.
BBQ shrimp were nothing special - just regular shrimp covered in sauce. Side of roasted sweet potatoes were gross and tasted burnt. Cheddar grits were good.

This place is a nice space with great potential. I sadly was disappointed in the food. It's overpriced for the quality.

Some quick thoughts about this restaurant:
-I have never had a Mac & Cheese that was anywhere near the deliciousness of the "Guinness Mac & Cheese" served here
-The draught beer selection was a little disappointing to me. I, personally, do not enjoy IPAs or beers like "Half Acre Daisy Cutter"... The only Irish beers they had were Murphy's, Guinness and another that I don't recall. I would have liked to see Harp, Smithwick's, etc.

Our overall experience was amazing though. The hostess was very, very sweet and seemed genuinely excited for us to be there. I was on crutches at the time and she patiently walked with us and let us pick a table that would be the most comfortable for me to sit in.
Our waiter was also perfectly attentive. He knew exactly when to come over and take our orders or to just check on us. I love when waiters are quick and effective and don't pester/linger and he was exactly that. The whole staff made us feel very important and welcome.

The prices here are a little higher but are not outrageous. This is a kind of place that can be reserved for a nicer evening or occasion. I actually welcomed the change of pace from traditional Irish pub scenes. Wile I love pubs and their food, this place added an atmosphere and elegance that was refreshing and unique. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Let's just say they have the best ribs I've ever had! I tried their samplers at the north side rib fest and I basically did not eat anyone else's ribs but theirs. So we decided to go check out the restaurant and it's very nice! It felt like a fancy dinner without the snob factor. I will be coming back next time for a beer. I couldn't have one last time because I'm preggo.

We found ourselves at Mrs. Murphy and Sons after tasting their mouth watering ribs at Ribfest, and after our friends attended a wedding reception there. From the outside, I've always wondered if anyone ever ate there. It's nearly impossible to tell how big the place is from the sidewalk. So we were quite surprised to walk into this cavernous establishment and see almost every table full of happy, gluttonous diners.

We ordered their fest winning ribs, beef stew and shrimp. Who knew the Irish could cook, and cook so well? The ribs fall off the bone and the beef in the stew melts like butter in your mouth. Service was great, ambiance casual, and most importantly, food delicious. We will definitely return!

came here after trying their delicious ribs from rib fest.. the place was pretty nice and comfy to dine in at.. the service was average.. price was OK for the food..

ordered fish and chips and ribs.. the slab of ribs wasn't as good as it was at rib fest! its a little more dry in the restaurant but it was still good... the fish and chip was average.. the fish was kind of small compare to most places and the fish was just so so....

if you want good tasting ribs.. this is a place to try!

You people with the five star reviews are kidding, right?

Am I the first person to notice that the "pints" of Guinness are less than a pint?

That's just thieving, at that point: Order a Guinness in Chicago at an Irish bar and not get a pint? Thieves.

Even the poor girl at the bar had a hard time lying about them being a "pint". Yes, she admitted they were not pints.

I'm surprised Guinness lets them get away with this crap.

Never got food because (a) the cheating (yes, cheating) on the pints, and (b) they seemed wholly uninterested in serving food - some kind of "bar menu" on a Sunday afternoon. Not interested.

Oh, also, they tried cheating us on the tax on two drinks, also. Thieves.

You stink, Irish Bistro. Oh, and P.S., had a great time and sandwich and service at Brownstone, just up the street.

The food here is simply phenomenal. Especially considering the genre they're working with, Irish food.

Drink selection is amazing. At the bar, they give you really good advice on drinks.

This place is a gem. Strongly recommended.

I read Colleen C's review and thought well I will go anyway. I don't know why you should read my review because Colleen C was dead on. This Bistro is across the street from the American Theater so dinner before the play seemed a natural.

Both myself and Mrs. K. ordered fish and chips. The server said it was great fish and chips and had more fish than batter. Nope. It is a visually pleasing place and the service was very friendly and nice. I think I just got the wrong entree.

Someone has spent a great deal of money on the decor and the pomp and circumstance here. Unfortunately, they didn't spend as much on their chefs. The food was good. Bacon butter was mildly bacon flavored, but unimpressive. Beer list was good, but even a beer couldn't cut through the weird acoustics and the ability to listen to others conversations.

Dinner was pleasant enough. I got the Shepards Pie and was happy enough. It wasn't the traditional style, which is fine, but I was hoping for more distinct flavors. My compatriots were about as pleased. One got a burger that he said was okay. He said he's had better at cheaper places.

Yah, maybe that's what got me. Everything was fine if the price point was a bit lower. For the amount we dropped, I would have expected much better food.

Do not waste your time on dessert. Clearly canned (possibly over cooked), I was so disappointed that it remained mostly untouched. If you're going to have it on your menu, at least give a damn.

On the other hand, the service was great.

Don't get me wrong, it was pretty good. I'm just saying that in a city like Chicago, there are much better places to grab some good Irish style food.

Mmmm bacon butter... Oh, sorry, I'm drooling from the memory.

This was my introduction to Irish food, and I loved it. My friends were in town for my birthday and St. Patty's Day so we thought we'd try out an Irish restaurant. One of my friends guided us on what to order.

I don't remember what everyone else got for drinks, but I ordered the Oyster Stout out of curiosity. Let's just say that it was an interesting drink. I should have let the beer experts choose a beer for me. That, or I should have just gone with my safe choice, which would have been the Guinness. :P

For appetizers, between five people, we ordered:
- Mussels in ale -- Mmm. I love seafood.
- Goat cheese chips -- We somehow had forgotten that chips = fries. Ah well, it was still good.
- Duck and crispy brie -- My absolute favorite appetizer! Who knew that duck and brie would go so well together?
- Guinness and onion soup -- Meh. I should have figured that this would taste similar to the French onion soup... Both of which are a little too oily for my taste.
- We also ordered some kind of seafood soup of the day, but I don't remember the name of it. It was really good!

For our entrees, we ordered:
- Corned beef and cabbage-- Yum!
- Beef and Guinness stew-- A favorite of mine because the beef was so tender and soft.
- Fisherman's stew -- Yum!
- Fisherman's pie -- The day's special, similar to the shepherd's pie. This was my entree, and I liked it a lot. But by the time my entree came, I was already very full so I packed most of it to go, and it was my dinner the next day.

I don't know why people made Irish food sound so plain to me before I tried it, so my expectations were set really low. But everything was so savory, I loved it!

Ribfest is the BEST advertisement a restaurant can get. I can't remember stuff like my mom's birthday or when I started dating my honey, but goddamn do I remember the names of restaurants at Ribfest!

So...I met Mrs. Murphy's food at Ribfest and the ribs are above reproach.
The burgers are ridiculous. Why is a piece of ground, fried meat so juicy and tender?
The breakfast offerings are well-cooked and tasty.
The Fish 'N' Chips are a little skimpy on the fish, but the Schlitz beer batter is quite the carnival of flavor.

I'm coming back.

Great atmosphere, good drinks, food is delicious. But what really blows me away are their chicken wings. Yes, I know....chicken wings? at an Irish pub? Are you kidding?

No, no I'm not. And this aren't hot wangs...these are delicious meaty, barbequey wings with lick-your-plate-clean celery blue cheese sauce to dip. Kicker here is...I HATE CELERY MORE THAN LIFE and I LOVE this sauce. The outside of this wings are so crispy and delish...the inside is juicy and meaty, not stringy and sinewy and the sauces make you lick your fingers. SUCH a fan.

The overall: quality food, very nice atmosphere, great for groups, wonderful draft beer list complete with tons of portes/stouts perfect for and fans of the ole green isle.

The deets:
Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro incorporates the old-fashioned irish cuisine in a modern looking restaurant complete with some of the best beers in the area (and stouts/porters from europe). The prices are on the higher end, but its in the "yea, I guess that seems right" ballpark.

The one item you MUST have is the Guiness Onion Soup ($7). Comes in a baked cup, crusted over cheese, and the sweetest onions this side of the atlantic. Quite frankly, I could drink this like water everyday of my life... yea, its that good.

I had the entree with Fish and Chips. Overall, you get 3 fairly sized pieces of fish (cod? maybe flounder?) atop a mound of thinly cut home-made fries. These fries are above-average... but nothing to write home about (for the BEST fries in chicago, check out my list of best fries in the city). The fish was tasty, batter very nice, and a nice crisp without being too greasy. However, the batter was a bit too thick for my taste... sometimes seemed like I was eating bread (but very tasty bread).

Overall, I'd love to come back here. Be sure to make reservations on the weekend. They have a great beer selection that alone would make me wanna come to drown away my longing tastebuds. :-)

Cheers my fellow yelpers! Oh wait, I meant to say "Slainte"!

Yes another review with 5 stars but like I said I only visit restaurants that have 4-5 stars to begin with. Any who lets get to the review.

Mrs Murphy (yes she's real!) is a sweetheart. The drink selection is pretty good, their holiday beers are AMAZING! Food is delicious, I had their ribs and my fiancé had their shepherds pie, we were both pleased.

They also have a pool table that's free all you have to do is give them your ID. Overall this place is great, the service is outstanding and they deserve 5 stars.

This is a GREAT place to come with a group and reconnect. The ambiance is warm, intimate and inviting while the decor is beautiful with a gorgeous bar and a fireplace to boot. The service was spot on...personable and fun! Wish I could remember our server's name.

The food can be a bit of a hit or miss. The mussel appetizer was tasty while the duck and brie app was just bland for the most part. I had the Fisherman's stew for dinner and it was DELICIOUS......light, flavorful, not oily, and all the seafood was cooked perfectly. I personally did not think there was anything wrong with this dish. If you are a seafood fan, this is a must try!!

The restaurant also has a free parking lot across the street for those of you driving to done.

I had a meal here this last Sunday, not quite sure if it was still brunch because it was 2:30, but I did eat eggs soo we'll call it bruncher.

Anyways I couldn't make up my mind so I ordered a bunch of things off the a la carte menu. I was really excited about the Irish Bangers, because the British isles make sausage wayy better than anyone else. But I was disappointed with it. The rest of the stuff was kinda just OK as well. Everyone else in my party really enjoyed the food so maybe I'll have to give it another shot. Also the beer list looks prettty good and they have a great Sunday Mug Club deal.

Life changing corned beef. Well worth the slightly pricey plates (big portions!)~ warm lighting, a somehow casually fancy Irish pub.

I went after a nice Saturday night out around noon for the Bears game. Their brunch menu is great and authentic. I went with my boyfriend, we split the Corned Beef sandwich and Mrs. Murphy's Hash Benedict. I'll definitely be returning here. Their beer selection is outstanding and the service is very polite.

It's not a mirage after all!!!

I attempted not once, not twice, but three times! to visit Mrs. Murphy and her Clan for brunch on various weekends when I was a North Center resident. But no matter what the website said hours were, we'd show up with grumbling stomachs only to find the door locked and no Mrs. Murphy in sight.

Thankfully the Irish joint really was open last night and we actually got to go inside! It's a nice place; great interior and warm vibe. Staff and servers couldn't have been friendlier and the food was solid. (I had fish and chips, my girlfriend had the grilled salmon - we both wiped our plates clean.)

I'll definitely mosey back to N.C. to visit the Murphys - but hopefully next time I'll find that elusive brunch hour......

I went to a wedding here and I absolutely loved it! The ceremony was held in one of the rooms and it was lovely. It was quaint, modern and very intimate. The toast and cocktail hour were held by the bar area and it was the perfect spot to chat and take pictures. For dinner, the guests were dispersed to three different rooms. I thought this was very interesting for a wedding, but I thought it was cool. After dinner, the reception continued in another room where there was a DJ and a spacious dance floor. If I could get married all over again, I would probably have it here. It was also a bonus that they had a nice variety of beer on tap.

Oh yea, the food was delicious!

1920's funeral home turned Irish Bistro, kinda cool...

Unfortunately since Ireland has been conquered so many times, tradition Irish cuisine is kind of hard to pin point. Before the potato, it was basically soups or stews consisting of meats, shell fish, veggies, bread, and of course milk and cheeses. Then it got skewed with British and French influence, not to mention a few others. I wouldn't say this Irish Bistro is traditional but I will say that I love this chef's take on it all. It's modern yet still very down home with fresh vegetables and that comfort food feeling.

What's fantastic is that the owners show such love in their business, one son is the general manager and handles the wine, the other son has a love of beer and it shows in their selection, the wife is all about the food, and Mr. Murphy's (god rest his soul) vision was all put together by his family. Most of the bar is decorated with his collected memorabilia. They even imported a massive hand-crafted teak bar from County Wexford and a smaller bar from Northern Ireland. It really is a beautiful looking building.

I've been with a large group and a few times for dinner. Although I enjoy the food, what stops me going more often is the price (it's a little on the high side) and that the service has been either excellent or awful but no in between. Still it's nice to visit an Irish joint more Irish then most who claim to be. Not knocking the Irish-Americans because well, I am one.

Mrs. Murphy and Sons was a bit of a compromise this past St. Patrick's Day. I, being a lightweight drinker and non-consumer of authentic Irish foodstuffs, wanted at least one meal to be non-liquid and/or non-meaty. My beloved, an authentic Irish American in both of the aforementioned ways I am not, suggested Mrs. Murphy's because he had loved his previous visits. I scanned the menu online, started getting excited about a couple options, and told him to book it, Dan-o!

We sat in the long, narrowish dining room, which could use a little more lighting for menu-reading purposes. Otherwise, it was far enough from the madding crowd in the bar for a pleasantly intimate dinner.

My beloved indulged my love of goat cheese and shared the fondue and chips appetizer. It was the weak link in the meal, unfortunately. The creamy goatiness was lost and the fries were a little skinny. It was kind of all the guilt, none of the goodness. I tried the fondue with one of the bread varieties from our basket but it wasn't an improvement.

However, the salmon salad whupped Batman's ass. It had almost too many good things going on, but I got over it. The salmon had a sweet barbecue glaze, and the bed of grilled - yes - romaine was fab. I wouldn't have thought to grill a leafy green, but thankfully Mrs. M did. There was also a hard boiled egg, a sliced avocado, and pretty little grape tomatoes. The salmon was cooked to temperature, and if I am to be completely honest, it could have been a little more done. Our waiter mentioned this ahead of time, so it wasn't a surprise, but it was a small issue for me.

The dessert menu tempted me with two choices that I will definitely try next time (cheesecake and bread pudding). Our day of Irish-themed indulging left my beloved and I at the threshold of pants-tightening gluttony so we had to skip it this time.

I am looking forward to going back but I'd especially love it if someone I know had a party in the upstairs event space - it looks very cool. Either way, slán go fóill, Mrs. Murphy and Sons.

How I live less than 2 miles from this place and yet don't make it here more frequently escapes me.

I went here on a Sunday evening so it was relatively quiet. Scored comfy seats by the fireplace on a chilly evening. So far, so good.

My friend and I ordered a bottle of red, I believe it was a Pinot Noir, but I never remember these things. My rule is pretty simple: if it's red wine, I'm cool with it. I don't discriminate.

The server/bartender was really fun and personable and after we polished off the bottle, he gave us 2 glasses on the house. Way to seal repeat business.

We also ordered a cheese plate and it was a surprisingly good assortment and served with crusty bread and crackers.

I really enjoyed this place and its laid-back vibe and cozy atmosphere.

I can't wait to come back and try it for dinner.

I was first introduced to this place at a Yelp holiday party a couple of years ago. I was thoroughly impressed with the place then. I do not know why it took me so long to return. I was really missing out on a lot here.

Last night I attended a friend's birthday gathering. Not only was I with great company, i really liked the atmosphere here. The place has a woody atmosphere and the fireplace gave off a nice smell which made for a very relaxing environment. The place is a good size so that even though things were busy, I did not feel cramped at all.

I ordered a pub burger for dinner and it was outstanding. I am willing to say that this burger ranks up there as one of the better ones to be had in the city. The fries were very tasty too. The bartender was very friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. Although it was a little on the busier side, I never had to wait very long for a drink at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here.

15 or so years ago.....
Me: "I love this grilled cheese samwich"
My brother: "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?"

Last night...
So I'm starting to think bro was onto something, because I can totally see myself married to Mrs. Murphy's Lamb Sirloin. We'd live in a house made of blue cheese mashed potatoes, plant some grilled figs out front, and have a little baby named Sundried Tomato Walnut Butter. Based on the evening we all had together last night, I think we would be the happiest family on the block.

Seriously. I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely one of the top 5 best meals I've had in my entire life. Good ambience, 1/2 priced wine, a pre-salad with blue cheese and apple slices.... I am going to figure out how to build a time machine so I can go back and live in that moment forever.....

I first visited the Bistro last night for a Yelp event. We were seated in a gorgeous private room upstairs. The place has plenty of woodwork and architectural goodies to relax and feed your mind while you eat and drink.
As far as the menu goes, any place that features Guinness as a main ingredient in multiple items is A+ in my book. 5 stars for that!
What equally impressed me was the fantastic service. Eddie, the bartender, was very attentive and kept me supplied with tasty Irish whiskey. For that alone, I will be back to have Eddie serve up more fine spirits. He clearly knows his product!
I'm sure the location contributes to some steeper prices on the menu (-1 star), so be prepared.

First we had a great time here for the Yelp Christmas party... then some time passed. Then some more time passed... and more... it was getting to be ridiculous. We'd been anxious to get back and have dinner here and finally took the opportunity on a special occasion. The hostess must have picked up on this as we were dressed up pretty nicely and she sat us at a really nice seat next to the window at the front of the restaurant.
I had the oat-crusted rainbow trout and my princess had the grilled pork chop. Both were phenomenal and prepared perfectly. Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes on the side were both very good and complimented the entrees well. Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. The whole evening was tip top and we're already anxious to get back!

I like what I've seen of Mrs. Murphy's. My first visit here was during the Yelp holiday party, which was magnificent. The party was great, the staff was great, everything was great. Here's my review of that event, and what goes on upstairs: http://www.yelp.com/biz/…

Recently, I came back to celebrate a friend's birthday in the bar downstairs. And again, I had a wonderful time. The bar was cool enough to set aside an area for our group, with a sign indicating it was a private party, just because they like us. No charge.

There are plenty of English, Irish, and Scottish beers on tap and in bottles, and not just the standard Guinness and Harp. (Though no Bass Ale.) I was happy to try the Belhaven Scottish Ale, as well as Goose Island's Matilda, a Belgian style ale brewed in Chicago. Service was a little confusing. Though there are taps on both side of the bar, the bartenders kept going to the other side to pour beers. Were our taps out? Just for show? Who knows. And the bartenders really had to be flagged down. But it was a Saturday night, so I'll cut them some slack.

I have yet to dine at Mrs. Murphy's, so that's next on my list. I hear great things about the brunch. And considering the food they whipped up for the holiday party, I'm interested in trying more.

How bad of a Guinness addict are you? Oh really, that bad? Well, then Mrs. Murphy's is definitely the place for you. Not only can you get a perfectly poured pint of the dark magic, but you can also get a full 4 course meal with it used as an ingredient! Oh yeah I'm talking Guinness French Onion Soup, Guinness Mac & Cheese, Beef and Guinness Stew, and a dessert served with Guinness flavoured ice cream. Whoa. Talk about a theme!

We did not go all crazy like that, but I did have the Beef & Guinness stew, which was really lovely, rich, and filling, topped with mashed potatoes and tiny fried onion strips. BF had a steak with a blue cheese topping and fries with curry ketchup. That ketchup was awesome - I would go just to order that. Portions were a good size but not obscene, and the service was very attentive, with our waitress helpfully offering suggestions. The jazz music that was being played was GOOD jazz, which I always appreciate, and added just another level of awesomeness to this experience.

I love the upscale, yet comfortable decor, with the deep jewel toned walls, stained glass, fireplace and massive oak bar. So Guinness addict, looks like you found your new "haunt"! (OK, sorry, had to reference the buildings history as a funeral home just once!)

I must admit, I was a little skeptical when I found out Irish cuisine was going to be my surprise birthday meal. I lived in Ireland for a bit and I think "cuisine" is much too fancy a word for any Irish thing you put in your mouth. Oh the nightmares I still have about fatty fried "meat", potatoes on top of potatoes, and endless servings of coleslaw (that is NOT officially a salad by the way).

At their bistro, Mrs. Murphy and her sons luckily were able to take the "gross" out of Irish food. Located near Martyrs on Lincoln, the restaurant itself is gorgeous - it has a fiery/woodsy feel yet still feels upscale. I ordered a French Martini right away (this is definitely NOT an acceptable Irish order but it was my b-day) and also some melty beer cheese appetizer that had bacon in it and came with bread. Dang, was that beer-cheese good! For my entree, I had the pork chop. I must admit, although the presentation was great and the cut of meat was lean, my chop was dry and flavorless. Booo. Even the mac n' cheese that came with was bland.

Even though my main meal didn't rock my world, I must say my surprise dessert of bread pudding with a candle was the best bread pudding I have ever tasted. SO GOOD. And our waitress was fantastic. Rarely do I leave a meal feeling as though I made a new friend. I think I will come back for a beer or glass of wine and some of that orgasmic cheese - the decor and service are both well worth the trip!

Actually 3.5, I'm grading on a curve.
First thing first, someone described this as being in Lincoln Park, this is not Lincoln Park, it's North Center. OK.

Secondly, I'm skeptical of " Irish cuisine" I'm allowed to be, I'm Irish.

So I ate here a couple times when it first opened last year. I just revisited on a kind-of-date. I agree with alot of the other reviews that it's a bit on the pricey side. It is a beautiful space. I know it used to be a funeral home. The private spaces on the 2nd floor are especially nice.

Here are the items I like:
Guinness, onion and Irish white cheddar soup.
Beer and cheese soup. Good times.
Duck sausage w/chutney. Their Shepherd's Pie is just ok.

I will update my review once I check out their Irish Breakfast.
