Update: So I got a weird, incoherent message from someone I am assuming to be the owner of this place. He says he kicked me or something and I got arrested. I have no idea what he's talking about, he must have me mistaken for someone else who disliked his bad shisha, tea and music. I've never met this guy, nor have I ever been arrested in my life.

Now this place drops a star for creepy, libelous ownership. Don't go here.

I just moved upon the neighborhood and was delighted to find a hookah place nearby. Thankfully I wasn't disappointed. The hookahs are cheap but full flavored and lasting. The atmosphere is also very relaxed. It's a small venue but incredibly comfortable.

They should be getting the liquor licence shortly and that will give them the last star. Until then, though, it's a great place if you actually enjoy hookah and are looking for a quality location.

I was looking forward to this place from the second I heard about it. My girlfriend and I checked it out about a month ago and had mixed feelings.  The inside IS beautiful and you can't beat $7 hookah. Especially when it seems bottomless!  The owner replaced our coal quite a few times over the hour (or 2?) that we were there and it was still going strong when we decided to leave.

However, "fairly small" is an understatement.  It's downright tiny.  We were the only ones there, and that actually made it feel smaller, I think. I was extra aware of the owners staring us down from across the tiny room while we tried to act natural and keep our conversation to a murmur.  There was background music, but I still would have felt more comfortable with more people around. I think this place would be really fun with a large group of friends, or 2 smaller groups.  Anything to fill the awkward lack of background noise.

It's also disappointing that they don't have a liquor license or even a BYOB policy, yet. There's no food or cafe either.  Pretty much just tea. We were told they're "working on it".

I hope they get it together, b/c I would love to have a cozy hookah joint close by!

UPDATE: As of May 20th, it looks like Nare has applied for a liquor license: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.timesnewsweekly.com%2Fnews%2F2010-05-20%2FLocal_News%2F5_Gets_Applications_For___Bar_Liquor_Permits.html&s=58776cd85e0ed065a7b82dde12ea51903eae6ef5c3660b2621d540743e1aa487" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.timesnewsweek…</a>
