Loved it! Had some line dancing, very strong drinks, a bathroom attendant with perfumes and lotions to use(although I didn't) and excellent service!!!! My coworker started listening to country music about half a year ago and wanted to come here. She is mid 40's, I'm 25 and it was her guy friends birthday which he was from the south. Him or I are not new to country music by any means.
It doesn't look like much from the outside and I expected it to be very warm down there since its a basement bar but was very surprised how well ventilated it was. Waitresses were great! Very nice, will chat for a little bit and always had a smile. The bartenders were just the same! There were a couple of pool tables in the back which is where I was for a while, lots of friendly people met a girl that showed me how to line dance and that was fun till I could no longer balance on one foot, :). Then I sat by a bunch of military men and chatted with them for a while. One even took my coworker and showed her how to two step a bit, she had a fantastic time. All of us had a great time and will definitely be returning!
Nashville is awesome!  A bit of Country in Paradise.  If you are under 50 - expect to be carded.  The staff is the best in town, hands down  Music is country and takes requests, dance or learn dancin', wait staff and bartenders are professional yet fun. Bouncers/security and all of the staff really looks after the guest - safest place in Waikiki to have a good time. Drinks are generous and the prices are fair.  Mixed crowd of military, tourists and locals - all age groups welcome and comfortable for all.  Get your county on at Nashville!
Review Source:If Nashvilles had better and real country music it would get more stars. My husband and I met here 4 years ago and I went in after getting a friend drunk enough to go in. The music was great but now it's too child/popish. If they played more hank williams, patsy cline, alabama, dwight yoakham and other artists who keep country country I would consider going here for date night.
Review Source:One of my top favorite bars in Waiks! Being a South Shore Mass native, Â country music is a lifestyle. Â The music is always good, Â every night there are drink specials, blackjack and never a cover charge. Staff is always really friendly. If you dont like low ceilings, Â neon signs, Â and large crowds, Â this may not be the place for you, Â but it's home to me. It's my Sunday night tradition to come here for the free dance lessons, Â cause its usually a lot less busy. Any other night you can spectate some of the best country dancers. Always a good time here.
Review Source:Not my scene, but I'd definitely grab some drinks here during happy hour. Happy hour runs daily from 4PM - 8PM. And drinks are pretty inexpensive for Waikiki.
Georgia Peach Tea
Similar to a Long Island Iced Tea, but better IMO. Vodka, white rum, gin, Peachtree, sweet sour, and a splash of Coke. It's slightly sweet with a mild tanginess that I like. Dangerously delicious.
Chicken Breast Fingers <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/edMqu2R2eAz_AHwJQE0D4Q?userid=U-7EVbeRf1wlSZfHW_gujQ#G9tqV_JQ9Sf5o4F_jdVNPg">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a>
These Chicken Breat Fingers are pretty much chicken strips or chicken tenders... A bar staple for sure, but not anything to write home about. The only thing I found disappointing was the small portion. Yes, I realize this is a "pupu," but still. Seeing as how I can eat 60 Chicken McNuggets in one sitting, with Hot Musard of course, the skimpy Nashville portion of Chicken Breast Fingers didn't cut it for me. It was a good "light" snack. I'd order it again though. Haha.
Criss-Cut Fries <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/edMqu2R2eAz_AHwJQE0D4Q?userid=U-7EVbeRf1wlSZfHW_gujQ#3UdZGRbDhPj8nAvkiwQB9A">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a>
Also not really a lot for the $5 it costs. Pretty much just a handful of fun, criss-cross / waffle fries. The shape is fun, but the portion isn't. But they were tasty. Lol.
All in all, I like happy hour here. I had a great time with my fiends here and look forward to the next time we revisit this place for some line dancing fun. (I have yet to indulge myself into the full Nashville "experience," with the line / square dancing.) Overall, Nashville is a different type of bar experience, but totally chill during happy hour. Plus, it's kind of a nice change in "scenery." At Nashville, Asians are few and far between. For once. Haha.
Yelp 365 - #325/365
Country music in Hawaii? Â You've got this Asian cowgirl listening! Â We stayed in Ohana West for a 7-day trip and I totally wanted to go inside, but my Caucasian husband had no interest in hitting Nashville... until one drunken night towards the end of the week when someone at Cabana's convinced us to head downstairs with them. Â AWESOME! Â There were actually only a few people on the dance floor and we attempted the drunken two-step with no luck. Â The drinks, however, were less expensive than beachfront bars and the crowd wasn't too large. Â Overall, it was a fun night, but boy were we hurting the next morning! Â I don't know that I'd recommend this place for everyone, but if you enjoy country music and want something different from all the other places in Waikiki, this might be your place. =)
Review Source:Honky Tonk night! (sometimes) Â Nashville is an OK country style bar. Â I was only there twice and I probably won't go back unless my friends want to go. Â I am big fan of country music as well and sometimes it's good to drown a few tears in my beers. Â The first time I came here was with the Pub Crawl in 2011. Â Not too bad. It was early so it wasn't crowded at all, but I felt tall as heck going downstairs. Â The bar is hot when the people start rolling in....of course which place isn't, but this was a little too hot.
The dance floor is big enough for everyone there, but sometimes it just remains empty and every crowds around it. Â The 2 bars they have down there makes it kind of easy to get a drink. Â The waitress sometimes are helpful but most of the time they just give you a bump to get out of their way.
If you're heading down here, go early to get some deals and avoid the rush. (if there is one)
As mentioned, there's a lot of military that go here as well as tourist. Hence the Pub Crawl experience.
Not a bad place for some country, but I'm sure there's a better country bar out there some where! If not....I'll be opening one!!
As the name kinda hints at this bar play country music and classic rock. Â They are open till 4am and do not charge a cover so that's a plus. Â the crowd is a lot of military and tourist. Â They have a dance floor and and nightly they do free blackjack. Â The whole blackjack thing never really made to much sense to me but, whatever.
Review Source:Good place to go to drink and play pool with friends if you enjoy listening to country music. Â I recommend you get there early on the weekend. Â It got very crowded. Â I was surprised that not a single person was on the dance floor when Watermelon Crawl was played. Â Is this not a place where people line dance? Â Maybe I'm just a city girl expecting what I see from the movies like Footloose, but I was disappointed.
Review Source:I absolutely LOVE this bar. I got introduced to this bar few years back by a friend. she wanted to go line dancing. I was all for it! From that night for almost 2 years were regulars. At least once a week. Made so many friends coming here. Staff is great. Drinks are awesome. Country music is my favorite! Lots of military come here with a mix of a few local. I miss coming here a lot. All my friends that I met here or use to come with me on a regular have all moved to the mainland :( One day I shall return :)
Review Source:yelp 365 challenge #79/365
how, oh how did i find my asian a$$ here??
my friend has gone here a couple times and has raved about it...
she's asian...i decided to check it out...
got there at the end of their early happy hour (ended at 8)...$5 crown...kinda pricey, but it is waikiki...
super nice bartender...i believe her name was arlene...
i remembered it for the first couple hours...
but i got quite wasted after...and now my mind is blank :(
LOVED her!
it is a pretty big bar...you wouldn't know that if you passed their entrance...
(it's just some stairs that go down)
about 4 pool tables, a dance floor, three dart boards, and a BREATHALYZER!!
sooo cool!
my friend and i kept using it throughout the night to see how drunk we were :D
when we first arrived there were only a few customers and some people taking their line dancing class...
if i was drunker when i first got there i woulda joined in :x
towards the end though, it was quite busy for a thursday night...
they have blackjack games, just for fun...
it was sooo funny...
a group of japanese tourists strolled in and the cocktail girl had the hardest time taking there order...
it was just them, my friend, me, and a bunch of "cowboys and cowgirls"...
loved it!
I look at a trip to Nashvilles like going to an anthropology class. Â It's like stepping into a small little alternate universe. Â What I love most is watching the people dance. Â I don't understand how these guys don't crash into each other on the dance floor. Â It's like a solar system of cowboy hats, boots and little jean shorts that continuously twirls around and around. It looks like a lot of fun. Â Another cool thing is you can play blackjack at a table with a dealer (nice guy btw), and it's just for fun. Â You bet with real poker chips and just tip the dealer to play.
Review Source:I looooove looove loooove this honky tonk underground POS place. It's a no frills dive bar with stiff drinks,Country music, line dancing and lots of white boys. Minus the line dancing and this place was like heaven for me :) The fact that there's no cover charge is a bonus. It was my go to place when I just wanted to have a good time (not that kind of a good time ) ok maybe im lying lol but really it's just a fun place to go. There's pool tables, darts, poker tables and of course the dance floor to keep you occupied.
I suggest you dont roll up in here looking like your ready to take on Hollywood lol, it's a country bar and the dressing style is more casual. Majority of the people that frequent this place is Military guys. I see local girls stroll in but I rarely ever see any local guys in there. So if Military guys are not your cup of tea, you should avoid coming here. The music was always good. ( I love Country Music ) like looove. I would stalk Jason Aldean and high jack his big green tractor if i could lol. Country music seems to soothe the psycho within.I attempt to dance when im there but it's not too cool,Country dancing is not my forte. Not much booty dance moves for these country songs so i do my own thing there lol. Nobody really cares because they are prolly as intoxicated as i am or even worse. Too may liquid cocaine shots here have led to some interesting nights. All fun ones :)
Havent been here in a few months so im way overdue for a visit. The only problem is dragging my friends here. None but one is willing to go..I need new friends lol jk i just need to trick em lol.
I heart Nashville's :)
This bar is okay. I've been to a bunch of country bars throughout the country and it's good for a country bar in hawaii.
The staff is nice and the regulars are awesome. But the problem for me is that you can't dance here on a weekend. Thats why I love going on Sunday's for the dance lessons. I've learned so many dance moves from the lessons it's not even funny.
If your looking for a honky tonk in Hawaii with cheap drinks and rowdy but fun people Nashville's is the place to go!
Love it...although I didn't think I would =)
I honestly felt like I was in Nashville and not in Waikiki. The the moment when you enter (FREE NO COVER), they are technology advanced with a ID reader that checks your age. That eliminated the need for the bouncer to really think.
Walk 5 steps down and you enter a bar that feels like no other. There is 3 bars, poker table, darts and pool tables. Oh did I also mention that you its filled with country folks....with there cowboy hats and boots. Since its country its filled with military and im going on a limb here, but I was maybe one of 6 asians in the place =)
Line dancing and 2 step is what was moving on the floor. It was something different yet fun. Drinks are priced like many Waikiki bars but you do get a first drink for $3 bucks!
You must check this place out if you want something different. Twice a week they offer free dance lessons so I will update this review once I can make it down there to get my Chee Whooo on.
I only have one thing to say about Nashville's. Astrobombs!
I have spent many (no joke, MANY) nights at Nashville's and all of those nights have one thing in common, astrobombs. It's a shot, it's blue and red. Taste like .. cherry .. I think at least. It's sweet, sour and just perfect. But be aware, too many will make you very very very unstable.
Nashville's used to be my go-to place during the weekends. The bouncer didn't check our Id's, the bartenders knew us by name. In fact, one still does...but that's not a part of this review.
If you like country music then Nashville's is the place for you. The drinks are always cheap and when you start knowing the bartenders they get stronger and stronger by the minute. Nashville doesn't have a cover and it's awesome, it makes it easy strolling in and out of the place.
It can get somewhat hot and crowded but it's a bar, if you don't like it you probably don't belong in a bar in the first place.
I would want to see that the toilets (for girls) weren't in the back of the place. I always hang out in the front bar (yes, there are two bars!) and walking to the back makes me either navigate through the dance floor, or the side of the dance floor. Both equally hard when the place is packed.
If you are in town and just want to go to a place to listen to some country and enjoy some good drinks, this is the place.
I've been to several country bars across the country, and this one isn't bad at all. Seeing as there aren't really any other options on the island to listen to country music and do a little tasteful dancing, I'd give Nashvilles 5 stars.
The staff here is friendly, and the bartenders make the drinks strong if you don't cop an attitude with them. I drink often in Waikiki, and I think Nashvilles has second place for strongest & cheapest drinks (only beat by Arnold's.) The music is great, and there is a lot of variety (old and new). The regulars here are nice, but if you walk in wearing stilettos or like a hood rat... yeah, people will probably give you looks. It's a COUNTRY BAR, people.. Haha.
Give it a go if you're in the area. No cover. It gets packed on weekends, so if you like dancing without running into people I suggest a Wednesday or Thursday night.
One Star For Country Music. As a New Yorker with a love for country music, I appreciate being able to find that place that lets me believe that I am "southern" for a few hours.
One Star for dancing. I have been taught to two-step by many a Southern gentleman at Nashville Waikiki.. it's fun!
One Star for reasonable priced drinks and good looking men.
Cons: NW is in a basement
As fun as all of the above is, I find that it's hit or miss. Friday nights are the most fun.. after 12AM... after you are already buzzed.
Being from Nashville, Tennessee I was honored to find this place in paradise, seems Nashville in in Vogue.
Simular to being on Lower Broadway in Music City until you step outside and feel that tropical air.
May I suggest Live Music, I know quite a few bands that would love to come play this joint for Room & Board.
Viva Honky Tonkin !
This is a hillbilly kinda place.. Decor= Christmas lights. Â The only place I know in Hawaii where they play country, and I do mean COUNTRY music all night! Â If this is not your genre, you will not enjoy... However for all of the country lovers out there, you will feel right at home on this island. Â The crowd is all military-ish men, and country women.... add alcohol and boots, and watch the messes hit the dance floor, literally! Â
If you are looking for a RedNeck scene and a bar serving up drinks till 4am, pop in, Beware, the pickins get slim after 2! Always entertaining.
My friend had her bachelorette party all over Waikiki one night, and Nashville's was one of our stops. Â I only give it two stars because of the music. Â I understand it's personal taste, but hey, this is my review. Â Country music isn't my thing.
HOWEVER!!!!!!!
the drinks are pretty good, and they're not that expensive. Â Blackjack is always a winner, and the dance floor got pretty nuts. Â It was fun, but I couldn't stay in Nashville for long because I thought my ears were going to bleed.
But after a little break outside, it was nice to go back to the bar for more drinks.
For some bizarre reason I want to like this place. That said, I do not like country music or Western bars, I just like chaos. The illusion that there might be some here is only that... an illusion.
You'll find some nice people outside handing out free drink tickets and don't be tricked. Those drinks are terrible! Back that up with the fact that it's an empty basement 98% of the time, and I think it's fair to say I'm over it.
I'm not even sure what to call this place. Â It's not a bar, it's not a pool hall, it's not a dance hall.. anyway.
Have been here a few times with friends and in all honesty, it's like a bar on any military base. Â Tons of young military types drinking beer and fighting. Â I will say that the security here is tight, they tend to be kind of pushy at times with people, but I guess that's what makes more people like this place and want to go there (If you're into that sort of thing).
In my honest opinion. Â If ships are in pearl harbor or if people just got back from deployment, expect a drunk crowd, and fights.
Make a right on Kuhio, a left before Walina, walk down the dark stairs and there you'll find TEXAS! Â Yeeeeehaw!!
For 8 girls on their first visit to Waikiki, looking to start an impromptu bachelorette party, Nashville Waikiki was the perrrrrfect place to start!
I headed straight for the kindest looking bartender, told him that I had 8 girls who needed to get drunk fast, and he quickly put together 8 Washington Apple shots for only $28! Â Yeeeehawwww!! Â Naturally, throughout the night, we returned for 2 or 3 more rounds.
I even learned a new line dance! Â There's something that wasn't on my Hawaii to-do list! Great fun, Nashville Waikiki, party on.
Location: Â Don't be surprised if you can't find this place! Â I found this place only by chance.. why is there music coming from a door that looks like a bright basement? Â It's sandwiched between Ohana West Bank and Chili's restaurant. Â No big sign. Â Seems like a place that only the locals know of.
The moment I stepped into this place, I knew I wasn't in Waikiki anymore. Â This place has ONLY white people. Â These white people wear cowboy hats, jeans and most likely boots. Â It was like a zone that I have not come familiar with haha. Â There's a dance floor for line dancing and that would've been interesting, but we didn't stay for long.
The bartenders are extremely kind! Â They gave us strong shots of something (i.e. The Panty Dropper) and the prices are decent for a dive bar. Â I'm a fan of this place because it's unique and super out of nowhere, but I don't know if I'd go back because I felt really really out of place haha. Â (White people, cowboys, line dancing, country music. Â I'm Asian, summer dress, techno, jumping dancing, etc. Â Sorta felt like it wasn't my scene.)
It's a dive bar . . . no, wait, it's a pool hall . . . nooo, It's a country western dance hall . . . I don't know how to describe this place . . . it seems as if part of middle America somehow found it's way to the middle of Waikiki. Perhaps the fact that I went to school in Wisconsin is what made me get excited about finding a place like this.
I don't give 5 stars to anything that resembles a dive bar . . . because I don't believe dive bars are 5 star places or that anyone looking for a real dive bar would want to go to a 5 star place. I give this place a strong 4 stars for originality, character and because the people who worked there were really nice to me.
It sounds like, on most nights, this is where you can go to find corn-fed military boys trying to get a taste of home. I went on a Tuesday night and it was almost dead . . but I still danced to country, played some pool, etc. The bartender, Jason, who usually works in the back bar, even whipped me up some of his "Southern Tea" which was fabulous. He didn't strike me as a honky in any way compared to the rest of the gang but he sure knew how to represent the south.
If you're tired of the typical Hawaiian bars this place could freshen things up . . . or have you running the other way ;)
I went here last night for the second time, mostly hung out at the back bar. Bartender back there was great! Very friendly, very attentive. It was less crowded than other parts of the bar which was nice. Watch yourself though, or you might get smacked upside the head with some dudes pool stick! (not that that happened to me but the potential was there)
I'm not really a country music fan although I did bartend at a country bar years ago, so maybe it was nostalgic for me in that way. Its just a nice chill, fun spot to go that is different from some of the other booty-shaking places in Waikiki.
People watching here is great! I found myself getting carried away mocking some guy wearing a sweet jeans vest with patches on it! Not sure if he heard me or not but the hubby did tell me to simmer down at some point as to not get him into another bar brawl...have a tendancy to get a bit rambunctious, especially around sweet jean vests!
Why am I giving a honky tonk dirty little dive bar five glorious stars on Yelp? Because it's the only cowboy bar in Waikiki and it is cheesy beyond belief! Cheddar, mozzarella, gouda...you suckas ain't got nothing on Nashville Waikiki! If you're ever looking for something "out of the box" to do one night then this is it people. Some folks take salsa lessons or jump out of planes to push the envelope of life, but my friends and I decided to lick the envelope and go country line dancing at Nashville Waikiki!
This place is not for the meek or those of you who are afraid of what people will think of you, but truly for the few who would rather eat life with a shovel than stand against the wall tapping your feet. When you step into Nashville it's like getting time warped back to Tennessee in the year 1989. The ceilings are really low and it's basically in a basement so that makes it even better! Everyone is either a tourist, a transplant or in the military, so be sure to leave your fancy clothes at home and dress for some colorful fun! Yes, you will get hit on by obnoxious drunk men and yes, this place smells like feet if you're standing in certain parts of the dance floor. But honest to God, one of the best nights of girlfriend fun I've ever been blessed to have!
I learned to line dance, well sort of because it's kind of tricky and I have a limited amount of rhythm. I laughed with my girlfriends as we all almost fell over from drinking too many cocktails and from all the horribly bad pick up lines. And third, I danced with a really really really old guy who didn't have all of his teeth but boy he was sure set on dancing with me whether I liked it or not! Oh and my favorite part of the night was when the door guy asked me if I was one of the Baraquios. No dude. Just because I look Filipino and I'm a girl does not make me one of the Baraquios. But thanks anyway!
Holy crap! Â Don't come here unless you are in the military or have a hard on for square dancing. Â I couldn't believe this place existed when I went. Â If you are claustrophobic, be prepared for an attack.
I've been to Nashville three times now (the real one in Tennessee) and it bears almost zero resemblance to this bar. Â The people that come to this bar try to be way more country than the folks that really go out to bars in Nashville that is for certain. Â The only thing that is similar is that this bar is like Nashville Tenn in the summer, sweltering hot. Â I would think it would be illegal to be that hot in a bar. Â Don't people pass out here.
If you aren't butt white, don't have a cowboy hat on, and aren't in the military, you probably don't want to hang out here...I won't come here if you guys don't come to places like Kanpai. Â Agreed?
Since I've moved to Oahu, I always wanted to go to Nashville's but it's a 21+ place. In November, I finally turned 21 and Nashville's was the second stop on my bar hopping.
If you don't like country music of any kind, military, or other things country...don't come here. I always find it annoying when people act all disappointed after getting there to find it's all country etc. It's called Nashville's! What did you expect? =] But if you want a good time that's channeling the good South with some line dancing, swing dancing, and good music and drinks, then Nashville's is a place you should try.
Saturdays are probably my favorite. They have a Sweet tea special (Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea) for $3.50 a drink. And it is awesome. I definitely recommend getting it with water instead of the Sprite or 7up.
The bartenders are always super nice and they'll recommend drinks if you just ask. One of the bartenders in the back made me "Bartender's Tea", however I have no clue how he made it and each bartender has a different interpretation of it.
The atmosphere is awesome. Low ceilings and it's under street level (down some stairs) across from the Denny's.
It's pretty dead during the rest of the week but they seem to make their drinks stronger on those nights. =] Also, a couple of my friends and I just discovered the Killer Kool-aid shots...so good! If you ask the waitresses to bring a random shot, they usually choose some good ones.
Overall, this has become one of mine and my fiance's favorite weekend spots and there's always something going on!
This is a country-themed bar, with the corresponding clientele. There is lots of military here and some rednecks. Maybe these folks aren't exactly my crowd, but somehow more normal and fun than some other places in Waikiki. You will forget you are in aloha land while here, which is nice if you've been here five months like me.
This place get extra kudos for serving drinks till 4AM.
You can be left alone at this bar!!! It's nice to be somewhere that you're not getting hit on left and right. I guess the only "drawback" is that you have to get used to the higher proportion of caucasian haole cowboys. Other than that, the prices are good, they've got dart boards, no fights from what I know...
Review Source:+1 star: reminds me of Colorado
-1 star: reminds me of Colorado

This place would be my dream if I loved young wasted military men, country music and budweiser ...but I don't
I still had fun though
the bartenders were GREAT
the drinks were cheap and a welcome change from the tropical fair..
the music is ALL COUNTRY which is so not my thing
We came here every night because ... my little sis loves all of the above
