This is my second time here. This time I ordered chicken teriyaki lunch combo and they have sashimi, sushi and salad for sides. They also serve a bowl of miso soup and hot jasmine tea. The food is ok considering it's in Columbus, IN and the prices are pretty reasonable too.
When we was there for lunch, around 1:30pm, it was just us and another 4 people on another table. I would say this place is suitable for gatherings and it's pretty quiet and clean as well.
Really great family-owned Japanese restaurant in small-town Southern Indiana. Â
Had a reservation for 5 on a Saturday night at 7p.m., and was pleasantly surprised when we were escorted to a corner booth surrounded by floor partitions - it was as though we had our own private dinner table.
Super-reasonable prices, prompt service, and tasty food. Â The menu is large and there are many, many different choices - hot and satisfying bowls of Udon noodles, huge dinners which include miso soup, salad, + rice, sushi, and others. Â We had the gyoza dumplings as an appetizer - were very tasty, and compare to fancier Japanese restaurants in downtown Indianapolis. Â
The servers seemed a tad bit rushed and hurried, but the service was very good. Water glasses stayed refilled and our food came promptly. Â
Not the best Japanese food I have ever had, but it was very, very good, and is probably the best restaurant I have been to in Columbus. Â As I said, it is family-owned - the husband does all the cooking and menu-creating, while the wife is in charge of the business-side of the restaurant. Â A definite must-visit if you are in need of a meal out in Columbus!
This is the best Asian food in Columbus. Sushi is fresh and very good. BBQ Eel is amazingly good. The ginger pork is good and spicy. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you haven't had real Japanese food. Your brought a nice warm hand towel to clean your hands before eating... which is a nice touch. Ice tea is good, and the hot tea is good as well. Will be going again.
