I went here on a Friday night because they advertised "Sophisticated Latin Fridays" with a live salsa band. Â The lounge/restaurant area is big with plenty of room to dance. Â The DJ played excellent music and the crowd was very mature. Â According to the promoter they just started to advertise so the word is getting out via advertising. Â I will highly recommend this place if you are a serious Latin dancer.
Review Source:This place is GREAT! Â An unexpected surprise. Â I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door and wanted a quick meal with the wife. Â When we walk over the wife noticed "Mediterranean" cuisine and wasn't sure if it was her pace. Â I was a bit pumped, living in the Midwest, multiculturalism isn't the norm, so I was very interested. Â The food was exactly what I wanted! Â A blend of Moroccan and Lebanese (leaning heavily toward the Lebanese) spicing without the expected "Americanizing" or over spicing or over express the flavor profiles, which is more akin to "impress the locals". This is cooking like you would expect to be served at someone's home in the Akkar district. Â Perfectly stated but not overbearing.
We started with the fried Kibbeh. Â Spicy, but not overwhelming, with a nice pepper bite. Â The wife was pleasantly surprised to recognize the marinated chicken I've been making her for years (and what I called "Mediterranean spiced") was actually the Shish Tawook she ordered. Â I had the quail, which featured 3 meaty perfectly spiced birds with a lovely dipping sauce. Â I couldn't resist eating this dish with my hands, using the pita bread to wipe the goodness I missed.
The staff, both management and wait staff, are there to take care of your every need.
Â
I am planning on going back in a couple of days to catch the floor show. Â If it is nearly as good as the food, I will be pleasantly pleased.
BTW, the management is newer than most of the reviews.
This place seems to be more of a nightclub that restaurant I went there on Friday at 7 pm and it was dead empty.
The service was good but the food was horrible ..absolutely horrible. Â The shish kabob had good spices but you could taste that it was old meat , nasty. the hummus was actually good, but the quantity was too small. Â I ordered kunafah for dessert and it was the worst i ever had , i couldn't believe they would serve something like this , it tasted old and was actually hard :( i couldn't finish the one bite i had.
