North Gate Tavern

Well, North Gate has been under new ownership for several months now. We serve food now (with an excellent menu).  The place is brighter and attracts a completely different crowd than in years past.  Karaoke on Thursdays and live music 2-3 nights/week--as well as very cheap drinks makes for a good spot.  Plus, we have an amazing patio which is used for happy hour drinking, live music, and fun in the sun once the weather gets nice.  Crawfish boils coming soon.

Great place! Drink specials.  Ryan is an amazing bartender!!  We had a great time hanging out, chatting and just trying different shots :)

North Gate was the best place about 2 years ago. Evey Saturday night, or Friday (can't remember!) it boasted no cover, a great DJ and the sweatiest time of your life. It was great. It recently closed, then reopened to new management. I was hopeful that they would do something about the woman's bathroom...it is a disgrace even before all the drink people get to it....just nasty. I gave it a chance, while the entertainment is picking up the interior, especially the bathroom is a giant thumbs down. "I will take a wet-nap with my drink please!" So if you don't sticky floors, dark corners, okay crowds, and not flushing the toilets, this place is for you. I'm still game some nights...Whiskey Wednesdays anyone?
