This place has more names than any political party. The food is terrible. Difficult to get too. The service is slow.   It may also be called the Atlantic Gill

It's closed, the outside O'Malley's Ocean Pub is NO MASS.

the outside has closed.  now upstairs in the Hollywood Beach Resort.  I went there one afternoon to check it out.  Beer was 3.00 241.  nice tvs.  probably busy during football games.   Nice bartender.  No food.  one can order from several places near by and have it delivered.

Great beach sports bar, decent food, very reasonable drink prices ($17 buckets of imported beer), lots of TV's with UFC, Horse Racing, ESPN on, touch tunes as well. Very friendly staff. It's been one of our go-to spots for a quick bite, sports, or beer while in town. A solid 3.5 - 4 stars.

I stopped by here for a nightcap. I had the Alligator Tail appetizer which was pretty good (tastes like chicken, consistency like calamari). The sauce was good and tangy. The beer was refreshing. The wait staff was super-friendly. And the atmosphere and vibe was very cool (plus I made a new friend at the bar who is a huge baseball fan like me). So, I really enjoyed it here.

Great place to grab a drink on the beach --- great frozen and mixed drinks, buckets of beer, and decent prices. Laid back, fun, good service, right on the beach and usual bar food with some interesting options like gator bites. Recommend.

Fun dive bar on the Hollywood Boardwalk, just steps from the beach. Beers are great, burgers are good, service is fast. This is a great spot for late night drinks, people watching, and live music on the weekends. It's not as touristy as you might think either. What can I say? I'm a sucker for the ocean breeze.

Mmm, warm beer and expensive sandwiches. That is all. Food is good.

this place is ok. i've lived in hollywood since i was a little girl and basically grew up on the boardwalk. i used to go to the arcade in the now defunct mall they have there. anyway, my dad was obsessed with this place. he is a big fan of cheesy, classic rock, cover bands.

their burgers are really good. the food is good and the service is quick even if it's busy. it's just a nice place to sit and enjoy the breeze and music (if a good band is playing, anyway) and watch people walk by while you're waiting to get back into the water. i enjoy it mostly for it's nostalgic value. i do think it's a little bit expensive though.

This place looks a little touristy at first with the wood shark things outside where you put your head inside the hole and take your picture. Also, the menu says you can order fried gator  here (we did not partake). However, despite this corny-ness O'Malley's turns out to be a good place for lunch and a cold beer right  on the boardwalk  of Hollywood beach. This place is right on the beach its very casual.  Shoes and shirts not required.

We had the fish sandwich and fish wrap.  The fish was fresh and delicious. Tomatoes were tasty and ripe, lettuce was fresh and washed.  Overall this is simple food well prepared. The service is casual friendly. A nice place to  hang out and people watch.  You can buy a bucket of 5 beers for $12.50.   Recommend!

There was nothing at O'Malley's that particularly stood out, it's just a divey little sports bar on the beach. The service is friendly and quick, even when they are busy. The food is the same you'd find at a sports bar with a little more seafood. We like to stop by here when we are at Hollywood  Beach to people watch, have an appetizer, and drink cheap beer.

Worth the stop is you are in the area.

This place is a fun, inexpensive bar with a good location right on the Hollywood boardwalk.
The food is fairly average. 've tried the burger, fish and chips, salad and a number of the appetizers. The greek salad is really the best option here.

I'd come back to drink, watch the game or people watch on the boardwalk! Also, I think they're a Patriots bar which makes them okay in my book!

    Awesome burgers and fish sandwich.

    Beer is reasonably priced!

Nice location on the beach without being overly touristy -- nice mix of locals and visitors.

    Highly recommend!

We needed a food and shade break from the beach, so we strolled down the boardwalk O'Malleys.  It was busy due to the volleyball tournament going on, but we were able to find a seat overlooking the boardwalk (great people watching).  Started of with a mojito, my favorite vacation drink, and it hit the spot.  Not to sugary and refreshing.  We weren't in the mood for big meals so we split the chili cheese fries.  Oh my goodness, these things were unhealthy deliciousness!  I think the key was they used shredded and nacho style cheese plus the chili and I think there were fries down in there somewhere.  Had another round of drinks and enjoyed the mister fans and watching people on the beach.  Definitely a great spot when you need a break from the sun and sand!

after fireworks on the beach for 4th we decided to hang out and let the traffic get out so we decided to stop and have a couple of drinks and an appetizer.

we asked the server(Evie) how she liked the conch fritters.  She said they were great.  the fritters were horrible.  we told the Evie and she graciously asked us if we would like something else.  we played it safe with french fries.  Evie  apologize and told us they had just changed the receipe.

+  location, service, good atmosphere, good band

    -   conch fritters and light on the alcohol in the mixed drinks

Hopefully they have gone back to the old receipe which it seems most people on here liked.  Again it is hard to give a really bad rating on one time so I will go back and give it another try.  I am not going to give them a horrible rating just off one bad experience.  A least they were not rude and replaced the ap.

There is a story behind me and O'Malley's. Seems that about 21 years ago my cousin and I disembarked from Carnival's Fun Ship Fantasy at the port of Miami. With several hours to spare before our flights home from MIA we rented a car and headed up A1A to see what we could find. We wandered all the way up to Hollywood and happened upon O'Malley's. Wanting to make sure we didn't miss our flights home, I asked the quickest way to the airport - and was told it was only about 10 minutes away. After enjoying a few cold beverages it was time to ask for specific directions. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that we had driven almost all the way to Fort Lauderdale and our server assumed I was asking about FLL. We did make it to MIA with just minutes to spare.

Fast forward to May 2011. On business in the Fort Lauderdale area I told my colleague my O'Malley's story and we set out to find it. Thanks to Yelp we drove right to it. It looks pretty much as I remembered. We took a table overlooking the ocean, enjoyed some cold beverages as I regaled my coworker with my cruise and scuba diving adventures.

Sometimes it is nice to return to a place that has good memories associated with it and find that place to be the same as it was. O'Malley's is a great local hangout offering a full bar, a great menu (try the conch fritters and the calamari, both of which are superb - and order the fish 'n chips for dinner). A bucket of 5 domestic longnecks is $10 during happy hour, $12.50 otherwise and the servers are very diligent about keeping the beers iced down. O'Malley's ranks as my favorite beachside place to relax, reminisce, and unwind. I'll be back!

I went here for the first time ever today, got conch fritters which were good.  I got mahi blackened, it was good as well, rum runner which was also good but didn't taste like it had a lot of alcohol in it (maybe a good thing haha) but the best part was the chicken wings.  Not too breaded, perfectly flavored.  Good view of the beach and the kooky people walking by.  I was told they have bands most nights of the week, but I was there during the day.  I will definitely be back.

Great Sunday afternoon! Live music, good food and amazing prices. Service was excellent. Right by the water. Who could ask for more. We ha the blackened dolphins. It was delicious and very fresh. Buckets of beer are extremely well priced. Loved it. Will definitely be back.

We have visited O'Malley's for the past 7 yearswhile staying at the Ramada the service is GREAT,Food & Drinks are also. When we sit at the bar Randy makes you feel like a friend we met him 7 years ago and he remembers us all the time, that's what make me come back every year. Looking forward to seeing you all this May. We will be there Mar 10th -16th. See you then, Delta737

O'Malley's is a great spot on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk! I came here with my friends while visiting the area, once during the day and once at night. The look of the pub is great -- license plates and crazy signs everywhere mixed with TV's and beachy paraphernalia. They had domestic beer bucket specials (5 beers for $10) and were pretty busy during the day. But when we went back at night it was fairly empty and they ended up closing early. The bartenders explained that supposedly the Hollywood beachers don't go out at night when it's windy? It's too bad because it seemed like it would have been a fun night-life bar!

I love this place. Right by the ocean, awesome menu options. Fairly priced. Great crowd, awesome prices. If there is anywhere on Hollywood Beach you need to be, it's here. The staff is actually pretty cool, considering how busy they tend to get. But all in all this place is well worth a visit.

Best Sports Bar on the Beach! If you really like to watch a game on Tv with some friends, try the mussels & a glass of Chardonnay if you don t like fried stuff as almost evrything else on the menu is fried, & for $15 you have a nice lunch or dinner with no greasy feeling, sit by the ramp away from the Tv screen & when they have a band you will feel like Key West

Love this place! Drinks are great, food is good and there's always good people watching!
The food prices are a little expensive for what it is. However, when you need a night with good classic rock playing and a frozen dirty banana in your hand...this is the place to go.

This is a great place to have a few drinks and have a peak at the Ocean. I'm not a huge fan of Hollywood's night life, but when I do come to the area having drinks with a few local friends, we always end of at some point at this bar.

All the bar tenders are very friendly, and there is always some old crazy drunk that has been drinking for days and can hardly speak to amuse you. One of those men could be my future husband. he he

They serve your typical pub grub which is actually pretty good. I was recently there and had alligator ribs. Taste like chicken!

All and all, great place to have drinks and ocean watch!

I usually really like this place. The music is pretty decent, great people watching, however we went here the other night and sat, literally in front of 3 bartenders at a 1/2 empty bar, for 10 min, and waited for a drink. THEN, once we got said beverages, we were so annoyed, that we wanted to leave. And yes, once again, ignored by the 3 bartenders while they chatted and exchanged numbers with their friends.... we almost left without paying, and truth be told, we could have cause no one was paying attention to us. BUT, we finally paid being the good people that we are.

What is it with service these days? Is it cause they think that we are tourists and we'll never be seen again? Welp, guess again. Now your on the world wide web.

Its low key, the beer is always cold, the burgers are surprisingly good, and its fun watching other patrons making a fool of themselves. Great view of the broadwalk and strange people walking by (they cant be all Canadian, huh? - there are many French people in weird clothes as well)

When walking around Hollywood Beach, it is hard to do two things:

    1) Remind yourself that it is indeed 2008, not 1995.
    2) Choose one of the hundreds of restaurants to eat at!

O'Malley's helps, at least with one of those. O'Malley's is fun, laid-back, cheap, and good. We spent the entire day there, literally, and took full advantage of the pub's versatility:

We went for lunch,  and wanted seafood. I got the grilled salmon salad, it was great.

We loved the outdoor seating, spacious eating area, good music, view of the ocean, so we stayed for some beers. Dollar beers all day long for happy hour.

We got drunk enough to think the bare-footed, bare-chested, long haired stoners who appeared at our table were REALLY cute. They bought us some more beers, it turned into ladies night (more one dollar beers) so we stayed longer.

It started to be dinner time so we ordered a bunch of appetizers. They did the job.

The sun started going down so we moved onto the dance floor (dance floor?) and danced in our bikinis. Because you're allowed in Hollywood Beach.

We got hot, asked for some styrofoam cups for our beers, and went down to the ocean.

Have I convinced you? If anyone actually even goes to Hollywood Beach anymore, stop by O'Malleys. Or spend the entire day there.

I've been to this place this last couple times I've been to South Florida.  I usually stay with family who have jobs and things going on during the day and find this a good place to unwind with a few drinks by the beach while killing some time.  Pretty standard pub fare, maybe a few more seafood items than most bars (it is on the beach after all), cheap drinks - I think my bill was about 20 bucks for some food and four beers and coming from DC which somehow feels justified in charging near NYC prices for drinks this was a welcome change.  But it's not the food and drinks that make me come back, it's the vibe - an interesting mixed crowd, most with the look of serious drinkers with interesting stories to tell getting pretty tanked in the middle of the day.  It's a welcome respite of everyday folks having a good time in the middle of a sea of pretentiousness that is Miami to the south and Boca to the north.  Plus the staff are really friendly and efficient and the beach view can't be beat.

Not only a sports bar, a New England Patriots sports bar. Nice location right on the beach in Hollywood. Look for the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort, you will never find the bar looking for it.
Parking at the Ramada is free if your receipt is over 20$, so save your receipt. Parking is also available across the street in a small lot or on the street.

As a huge Dolphins fan I went to the bar to watch the game. The setting was perfect, right on the Boardwalk with a great view of the ocean, friendly staff, great service, good food and a full bar. It was a bit of a hot day so they had the misters going; very refreshing. Fans for ever team filled the bar but I was amazed to see so many Patriots fans so I made a joke to our waiter, who was from New England. He threw a joke back at me and told me he would root for the Dolphins if I rooted for the Patriots, hmm. I agreed, since our teams weren't playing one anothers putting the rivalry behind us, for the day atleast.

A live band showed up and started singing away all the classic rock songs, I am told that performances change from time to time, yet i have a feeling they always draw in a crowd like ours. We had people dancing, having a great time; a customer even got on stage and sang his own version of Margaritaville.

Before I knew it, I had been at O'malley's for 6 hours. I hadn't planned well, but I recommend taking your bathing suit and making a day out of it. They have a special monkey carved coconut you can purchase and get free refills for all day for 25$, or so. That alone will pay for your parking and you get to keep the souvenir cup. Every one of my friends has gone back, incase that tells you anything.

I can't believe I have never reviewed this joint as it was the first bar I ever went to in Hollywood and hell I took Marcos there.  O'Malleys is usually the busiest bar on Hollywood beach and is good for some cold drinks, sports watching, decent bar food and watching fat Canadians stroll by on the Broadwalk (Offer good winter time only).  Often have live music also.  Just stay out of the Ramada Inn!  "At a bar called O'Malley's ... we can plan our escape...."

This is mostly a sports bar than a tiki bar.  It's behind the Ramada Hollywood beach resort.  It's an open air bar with a bunch of t.v.s hanging up to watch Sports Center or whatever else might be on.  It's got a nice friendly drinker's atmosphere and it's right on the Boardwalk.

    The bar menu is o.k.

Very chill, beach vibe.  Drinks are cheap and the menu is pretty decent for pub grub.
