Omango is a good establishment for when you are craving Indian Food, and you don't want to drop that top dollar. Â Going to other Indian restaurants can get pretty spendy, but here you can get filled up for pretty cheap. Â
The ambiance is quite cozy, clean, and quite relaxing. Â Also, there is a lot of room to find yourself a table. Â I prefer to order online, and takeout since it's not too far down the road. Â It only takes about 30 minutes to have it ready to pick up, and they are pretty good about having your order ready on time.
My two favorite types of Indian food are Curry and Tandoori Chicken, so naturally I go with the pick two platter where you can get one order of curry, one order of Tandoori Chicken, choice of white or brown rice, 2 pieces of Nan bread, and a small little cup of the Vegetable Raita.
I am a man who craves spiciness, so of course I go with the Vindaloo Tandoori Chicken, and also the Vindaloo Curry with Chicken Tikka. Â It has just the right amount of spice, and the Vegetable Raita is the perfect compliment to put out some of the spiciness fire on one's tongue. Â This pick two platter fills me up every time, so it's not a bad deal for under 10 buckeroos.
It's good for kids as well. Â My daughter loves the Mango Coconut Curry as well as the Mango Tandoori Chicken. Â Therefore, there is pretty much something for everyone in the family. Â No need to pick up Happy Meals beforehand.
The only thing I wish is that the Tandoori Chicken came on the bone with grilled onions, and a little lime to squeeze. Â Also, the Nan bread a lot of the time tends to be on the soft side, so it would be great to have it toasted just a little longer so there is a small crunchiness to it. Â
Well I suppose beggars can't be choosers, but for the price of the food, Omango is right on the money. Â No need to whip out a Benjamin, well I guess if that's all ya got then you will get some change back, but yeah Omango can definitely satisfy one's craving for Indian food.
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! Â My SIL is Indian but I never really liked Indian food till her mother started catering from this place for family get togethers. Â I love that their offerings can be made vegetarian and/ore vegan. Â I really appreciate that they don't fry their samosas. Â I don't know the names of all the dishes, but everything I have had has been fabulous. Â I eat here about twice a month.
