So early this week my significant other and I decided to try this place, based on all of your reviews, for a typical Chinese restaurant for some, what we call, 'dirty egg rolls'.
We live across the street so it was super convenient to find. As we entered in we notice a small dining section with one other table with two guests. Total seating could be around 20. There was one person manning both the front-end and the dining room. I thought nothing of this and was excited to give it a go.
First let me tell you that their prices are VERY reasonable. We spent a total of $20.10 + tip and got a delicious appetizer sampler which had butterflied fried shrimp, egg rolls, and pot stickers. Now I am accustomed to the normal dipping sauces for each of these traditional dishes, BUT HOT DAMN - their sauces were each unique, flavorful, and PERFECT for the piece it represented!!!
We wanted to try a few more small items to finish off our test drive - so we went with two rolls - one California Roll and one Shrimp Tempura Roll. Both of these were as fresh as when I lived in San Diego and watch them create sashimi rolls from my catch of the day!!!
Now the reason why they are not getting 5 stars is simple - DELAY OF FOOOOOD! I saw one person come in after us and order, and two people come in and pick-up. Now I know between the couple already seated, who ordered right before us, and these other patrons, the 40 minute wait for the aforementioned items is beyond MOST normal establishments. And for a place this size - it should have been cut by 2/3rds!!!
Been here many times over the past year. Has become one of our favorites! Walnut Chicken is a must. I'm trying to eventually try everything on the menu. Service is great and the owner is super nice! Even has a Starbucks next door for that after-dinner coffee. Always leave looking forward to the next we get to come back!
Review Source:We love Mi's Teriyaki!! Â We are a vegetarian/vegan family, and have food allergies as well. Â The staff at Mi's Teriyaki are very helpful and accommodating, customizing our favorite dishes for us! Â One of my all-time favorite meals is Korean Bi-Bim-Bop, which usually has beef plus an egg on top. Â Mi's makes mine with no beef or egg, adding extra veggies, and it is absolutely delicious! Â We also like the vegetarian egg-rolls, which Mi's is now making with no egg and using the rice-wrapper so it is gluten-free as well (one of our allergies)! Â Needless to say, Mi's Teriyaki has become one of our favorite places to eat, and we hope that others stop in and enjoy their delicious food and friendly staff as well!!
