In spite of memories I have of eating this pizza with my ex-in-laws, I still come back here when I'm in this part of town. Â This thin crust is the real deal- it's a nice crispy crust with just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Â My personal favorite here is the extra sausage well done. Â Their sausage is perfect here- it's super mild tasting and is pretty good quality, there's no fennel noticeable in it. Â They bake the pizza perfectly when it's well done, it has a nice caramelized cheese on top that is amazing.
The salads are lousy, and the slices for sale are nothing like the whole pies.
This is definitely a carryout place. Â There's a picnic table and a few flimsy chairs inside. Â I've always been happy with the staff (on the phone and in person), so no knocks there. Â The thin crust pizza here is the real deal. Â Definitely in my top 10 all time favorites.
The woman taking my order on the phone was a mess and put me on hold several times for long periods. Â After about 10 minutes, I had to hand the phone to my husband so I could attend to my toddler son. Â I thought delivery pizza was supposed to be the easy choice for dinner! Â Finally we were able to get our order in after about 15 minutes of being on hold, being told the computer was down, being asked our address several times, etc. Â The price was really expensive but we figured we would roll with it since it took so long to order. Â Pizza arrived and was disappointing. Â Overall flavor was good -- good cheese and sauce -- but the crust was not good. Â It was very crispy. Â That being said, we are not native Chicagoans and prefer our pizza East Coast style, so take this review with a grain of salt. Â We will not re-order from here and our quest for good delivery pizza continues!
