Disappointing for neighbors on their return after renovations. Â The new look didn't work for us: it is noisy, a tight fit, and no privacy. Â Worse than a diner. Â We were there for lunch and knew from past experience that it would be pricey (all the "specials" and the hamburger were $14), but the greens in my salad were brown and the quarter sized crab cakes were mealy. Â We also feel it wasn't right for them to issue a Groupon and then proceed to close for three months. We like to walk there on snowy winter nights and couldn't use the Groupon then or at our other favorite time in nice outdoor eating weather because it expired three weeks after they reopened!
Review Source:Went to O'Neil's last night. Â The food is very consistent and well priced. Â O'Neil's served as a great place to unwind from a hectic week. Â It was quiet and laid back....well not any more! Â The new decor is upbeat which is refreshing, but the noise factor is overwhelming. Â Most tables are very close together, so do not attempt a personal or intimate conversation. The 'old' charm is now replaced with a high energy feeling....not the place if you want to relax! Â We will wait for the warm weather and enjoy the outdoor seating.
Review Source:My husband and I have always been a fan of O'Neils. Â We love the consistency of the food. Â Their salmon is always cooked to perfection and the lemon butter caper sauce is sooo good! Â However, in the last few years, the decor felt dated and old. Â Well, no more! Â O'Neils just underwent a major remodeling and the result is fresh, young and vibrant. Â The white banquette benches add a lovely touch. Â Now we can enjoy both the food and the decor!
