Padavan's NY

I've eaten at Padavans multiple times, both with kids and without. I would love to say that i love this place, but i dont. I've never had a good experience there. The food is pretty good, I've had the pizza and the pasta a la vodka, but the service is TERRIBLE. The staff seems not to care about customer service, or the customer in general, or even coming over to your table after you sit down. On one occasion, i had to walk up to the bar to get a menu!? That seems ridiculous to me. Take my advice...order carry out.

This place is a bar.  It's loud.  The food is...meh.  Bar food.  The service was beyond terrible.  Very slow.  "Lost" an order,  twice.  Waited waaaaay too long for utensils...AFTER the food was already sitting in front of us!  The food was also unevenly heated. Brought us the wrong bill, so our card had to be re-run.  I'm giving it one star because I had a glass of water that tasted great...even though it never got refilled.

We had been here before and received fairly good service and a friendly wait staff.  The food was okay.  
This time was horrible.  The waitress took 15 minutes to get us drinks.  We ordered a pizza and the kitchen dropped it on the way out of the oven.  The waitress told us it would be another 20 minutes for another pizza.  Although I am grateful they didn't try to serve a dropped pizza, I expected an offer of an appetizer or a drink on the house while we waited.  No such offer.  During our previous visit, we were given a "free drink card" by the manager.  We tried to use it on this visit and were told that since she doesn't work there anymore it didn't apply.  Sorry, Padavans.  If you allow and support your staff to hand out cards to get return customers, you need to honor them.  The card even said "use as our gift for you to come back!".   Nope, we won't be back.  And as people who are always asked, "what restaurants would you recommend?" , Padavan's will be first on our list to tell folks to stay far away.  Bad business, Padavans, bad business.
