Spent the holidays in Wilmington and stayed across the street from Cotton Exchange. Paddy's was my favorite place to stop after a few hours of downtown shopping. Only went to the bar area and bartenders Allison and Chelsea are tops. They have an awesome selection of beer on draft and their wings and French onion soups are tops. Will definitely make it our first stop next year.
Review Source:Nothing really special about Paddy's Hollow when it comes to food. Typical bar food with a few extras. Good location in downtown Wilmington at the Cotton Exchange with a cool outdoor seating area. I had the corn beef sandwich. Decent flavor, but again, not overly impressed. Honestly, I thought, due to the name, that I was walking into an Irish restaurant but sadly there was no real Irish food on the menu. For the money, I'll find another place to eat next time.
Review Source:The owner of this place needs to start paying attention or he/she's going to lose Paddy's. The interior is beautifully done as an upscale Irish Pub with a great area for outside seating. It ends there. The waitresses and the female bartender stand around the the bar chatting, paying more attention to each other than the few customers. Their "signature" dish, Shepherd's Pie, is seldom available. It's a really good dish. The bartender loftily told us they have been out of it for a couple of days, they really need to make more. Then again when I tried to order a Mandarin Salad I was told it was "really really good" but...they were out of the dressing for that salad...but I could use Ranch instead! Tried the place twice, will come back but only as a stop off for drinks.
