Just had a 50th Birthday party for my wife there. Everything was top notch from the food to the wait staff. As well as dealing with the owners and maitre d' in the arraigning of the party.
Received many compliments from the guests on the choice for the party.
Also, I require a Gluten free diet and they were very conscientious of that for my meal and dessert.
Thanks Carol, Vincent, Brian and the entire staff.
I went to Pairings on Valentines Day. They had an $85 price fixed menu for the evening. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice. Dim lighting set the mood and the host staff was very polite. When I first sat down I noticed that the tables themselves were very low to the ground which made it very difficult to actually fit my legs between the chair and the bottom of the table. I am not a big person and as I watched new diners sit down I could tell that they were having the same issue.
The food choices had a little something for everyone. I started with the lobster bisque finished with a splash of cognac. The bisque was very flavorful and had large chunks of lobster in it. For my pasta course I had homemade pasta squares with a pork Bolognese sauce. The sauce was delicious and the homemade pasta puts it over the top. For my entrée I had the red snapper with cauliflower risotto. The fish was perfectly cooked as was the risotto. For dessert my wife and I split the cinnamon churros with the espresso hot chocolates. The churros were tasty. The espresso hot chocolate was interesting but amazing at the same time. It was thicker than hot chocolate, but thinner than pudding so you could use a spoon or sip straight from the cup. Overall it was a great night and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening.
5 star service to match the 5 star food.
From the minute we walked in, the host greeted us graciously. Â As soon as he knew our names, the whole night we were referred by our first name, a really nice personal touch to the service. Â After we were seated, we were then greeted by our server Fernando, who was very knowledgeable about the menu, and made our evening so much fun. Â Then the food started to come in almost a melody like rhythm. Â From the freshly made bread rolls to tapas starter, we had mango caesar salad, arugula salad (the fig onion and quince puree were great addition to the salad) and fresh pasta with ragu (owner's grandmother's recipe) to start, and in between the appetizers, we were sent little surprises like scallops (so delicious) and crabcake bites (100% crab meat with no bread fillers that you would find in most places). Â We then were served lemon mint sorbet with the cutest little spoon to cleanse our palate for the entrees. Â We ordered the Ahi Tuna (the best I've had in a long time, and the wasabi dipping sauce is so good), Burgundy Short Ribs (fall off the bone good), Â eggplant parmesan, and striped bass provencale. Â Everything was perfectly cooked, and the meals all came in perfect timing. Â We really enjoyed ourselves here. Â I normally go to a restaurant just for the meal. but this time, I walked away with a remembrance of both food and service. Â I would definitely go back.
