Came here for the Dim Sum. Â Great selection with pretty decent prices. Â The Dim Sum portions are huge, so 3 per person will have your stomach busting. Â The atmosphere is of a pretty nice Chinese restaurant and the service is really good. Â Will be back.
btw. Â They have dim sum all the time now on the menu, for the exception of 3-4 items.
I really, REALLY wanted to love the food at this little establishment, but just wasn't overly impressed.
Let's face it, I'm a food snob. If I'm going to spend any money on non-Taco Bell or Wendy's products, I want to be rocked out of my socks. I heard about the dim sum at the Palace from a co-worker, hoping that this might be a good little hole-in-the-wall that I can call my own. Sadly, it seems that it is just another average Chinese restaurant.
Now, I should clarify, the food is OK. It's just not filled with amazing flavors. It was cheap, averaging about $2 per dim sum plate. So if you are looking for a cheap meal that will fill you up, this might be the place. Just prepare your taste buds for an average lunch or dinner.
Will I be back? Sure. The people are friendly and the food is different. But I'm still looking for dim sum to fill that hole in my heart that all of the Taco Bell and Wendy's is sure to aggravate.
