Park Burger

Easily my favorite burger place in Denver. It is a sit down as opposed to the semi service order at the counter places, but honestly that is the only downside I can think of. I have yet in my numerous times had a burger I didn't like, and the fries are easily the best around. I always go with the half sweet potato half truffle fries, soooo good it's making me want to go tonight! Good happy hour and football day draft specials. Sure the service isn't godly, but do remember you are at a burger place and not capital grill.

Brought here by good friends who live nearby.  They actually are on the 14er wall, go look for them!  I'm not going to tell you who they are though...

First time we came, I gave my order and then promptly changed my mind when I saw the Chef's special.  I flagged down the waitress and she sprinted to make sure they were able to change it.  A+++ for service.  F+++ for my indecision.

I had the Chef's special with brat, sauerkraut, mustard, and we split the sweet potato fries.  Delicious all around.

So delicious, I ordered take-out from here again the next day.  This time I got a Park Burger with haystack onions, american cheese, and jalapenos.  It came with some sort of spread that reminded me a bit of In 'n out.  Very delicious once again.

I also went for the works fries.  I mean, I have to try everything to give a well-rounded review right?  

Everything was delicious, fast, and cheap.  3 things I love.  Thumbs up Denver!

Park Burger is one of the most hyped places in Denver; I've wanted to try it for a while, but I didn't know what to expect-- if I was hoping for "OMG the best burger everrrr" or if I should brace myself for a serious letdown.  Overall, I wasn't overwhelmed with amazingness, but I was impressed!

They had about a half hour wait on a Friday night, but we were able to call ahead and get a place in line.  It's cute and bright, with a long counter remniscent of old diners, as well as other tables and a bar.  Our server was friendly and fast, but didn't rush us.  And I was impressed with the food!  I had a Park burger with pepperjack and mushrooms, and it was great-- a thinner burger than some places, but still cooked accurately to medium.  The whole wheat bun helped me pretend it was healthy and was tasty.  My friend had a buffalo burger over mixed greens and enjoyed it.  The buffalo looked delicious, and I might try it next time.  We also shared an order of sweet potato fries and truffle fries.  The sweet potato fries were delicious.  The truffle fries weren't as truffle-y as I expected, having never had truffle fries, and weren't quite crispy enough for my taste.  We also had a margarita each, and both the rocks and frozen were surprisingly good.  

Everything is a la carte, but very reasonably priced, and very customizable.  A generous portion of burger with a few toppings or even will run you less than under ten dollars, with a shareable portion of fries for just a few dollars more.  I'm not sure if it will knock your socks off, but for good margaritas, yummy burgers actually cooked to order and excellent sweet potato fries, I would definitely make a repeat visit!  And maybe save room for a milkshake.
