CliffNotes: The chicken was so undercooked it got sent back, I found a 1/2" piece of plastic in my mac and cheese, and my roommate found a 4" blond hair in his fish and chips.
How all of this could have happened in just one sitting is beyond me.
I'd love to comment on the service, the food, and the atmosphere but to do so would only detract from this establishments real area in need of improvement: keeping foreign objects out of their entrees.
The chicken was comped (which was nice of them), and the mac and cheese was actually already comped before I found plastic in it because they forgot about it entirely and had to quickly make it after everything else was already out.
Also who doesn't take American Express? Have you just given up entirely?
Try somewhere else instead.
I went there with my husband on a very busy day, saturday, in the middle of the summer, so I understand is normal to wait a little, the service was slow but the food was good. I wanted the haddock but they only had cod fish that day so I ordered the pasta instead, with shrimps (pretty good). My husband had the bread crusted tuna (also really good).
For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake that was ok, I was expecting a little more. Â Coffee was pretty good, though. Summing it up, the place is nice but it's very expensive and the food is good but not amazing.
Overall, I'm not sure if it's a 3 or 4 star restaurant, but I would try it again.
Tried this place for the first time for lunch on Sunday and I was very impressed. I've always eaten at Bubala's by the Bay when in town since they have free parking (which can be very hard to find in-season), but this time I scored a spot in one of the town lots, so my dining options were more open.
There are two outdoor eating areas--one is a covered open porch, and other part right next to the street is a patio with square umbrellas clipped together to form a canopy of sorts. I noticed heat lamps throughout this outdoor section so I can imagine it's nice in the evening as well. In addition to the standard tables and chairs there are benches with comfy cushions and pillows that create a cool spot to hang out and sip drinks.
We (three of us) were seated immediately in between the two areas--under an umbrella but right next to the covered porch. It was perfectly warm, but not too hot either. We were a little further away from the street, which was nice, but since the restaurant is right on Commercial street, it's great for people watching if you sit close to the curb.
The drink list was impressive and interesting--I would have tried the Ginger Lime Cosmo or the Patio Peach Iced Tea if I hadn't gone out the night before. The menu was interesting too--I'm pescatarian and there were plenty of choices for me, which is always nice. I ultimately ended up going with the Fish-wich since I was wanting something comforting. My companions ordered Fish & Chips and the Crab Cake BLT, all of which sound pretty standard and probably boring, right? Wrong. We were all seriously impressed. The dishes were served with coleslaw & fries, which are standard sides but done very well. The coleslaw was flavorful and fresh, the fries were well seasoned and perfectly crispy, and the fish on my sandwich and in the fish & chips was some of the flakiest, freshest-tasting fish I've ever had. Even the tartar sauce was excellent! I love when places take "regular" food and take it up a notch, adding a new twist to make it really flavorful.
The service was good too--prompt and friendly. I also used the ladies' room before we left, which was clean and nicely decorated. I'd say this place is a great spot to stop for lunch or relax with cocktails--I'd love to come back sometime in the evening for drinks and appetizers. It's a little pricey, but worth the somewhat-of-a-splurge once in a while. Cheers!
You couldn't pay me to go back. I don't even know where to start. I was with a group of 12 the first weekend of May in town for a race, who had reservations, they weren't ready for us with 24hrs notice so we had to wait across the street. After finally being seated and ordering it was over an hour before food came. While waiting for food I ordered a drink, which was forgotten... twice. In the end I paid around $20 for a lobster grilled cheese, that was made with a stick of butter and apparently took over an hour to make, while sitting thirsty because my drink was forgotten, and all this after almost not getting seated because the reservation got screwed up. Location A+, layout and design A+, food... eh (definitely not worth the money), and service is awful.
Review Source:Patio has been a staple in our P-Town visits for years now. Great drinks, nice wine list, terrific food and the best people watching on Commercial Street! My partner and I plan a trip or two to Provincetown, MA every summer and Patio has served as home-base for many of meals throughout our stay. The service is always great and the food comes out fresh and hot not like some other restaurant further down the Street I won't name. We are looking forward to our next meal at Patio this upcoming season. They make you feel like family... keep up the great work guys!
Review Source:great food and service. Â i told our server i'm gluten-free and dairy-free and he made sure i was taken care of. Â i had the steamed lobster with corn and potatoes. Â delicious. Â i needed instructions on how to eat it and he was happy to show me. Â the corn was scrumptious and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. Â he made sure there was no butter on anything and brought sharing plates so hubby could help me out. Â hubby had the mushroom ravioli and liked it. Â
the atmosphere is very much cape cod - it's the patio of an old home with enclosed seating on the original porch itself and then outdoor seating on what would have been the front yard of the home. Â i highly recommend this place.
Service? What service? After waiting more than half an hour with only attitude from the waitress and nary a glass of water on the table, we left. Sorry, I don't spend money on restaurants that treat their clientele like an inconvenience. And the place wasn't even full - others were walking out, too. Â Wish I could score this place a "zero." Major fail.
Review Source:We ate at Patio twice during our vacation, once for Dinner and once for Lunch.
Both times we had a great experience. Food is good and portions are generous. Waiters are friendly and professional.
The atmosphere is fun especially if you can get a table on Commercial sipping a Mojitos (which is to die for)
I love the fish & chips at Patio. Â We tend to dine here for lunch on our P-Town visits- it just seems like more of a lunch place. Â My fellow diner had a chicken panini that was large enough to share. Cute servers, whoever does the hiring has a skills! Â A Bloody Mary with your lunch is always a good idea!
Review Source:The mojitos will knock your socks off!
Overall experience is really pleasant, great food, fast and friendly service, everything is clean and neat including the restrooms.
It was our first visit to P-town and we didn't research restaurants reviews prior, so we went to the place where almost all the seats were taken, a picture worth a thousand words.
Well, next time I will go to Patio for sure. Thank you!
I have mixed reviews about Patio. We stopped in Friday night because they have outdoor heaters and it was a bit chilly. We each got a cocktail, all of which were perfect. At ten bucks each they were surely pricey but tasted great. I found it a bit weird they used Svedka in their cocktails, but since that's my standard go to for cheaper but still good vodka, I understand. The server was a bit full of himself/the establishment, Â and part of his spiel was how their cocktails were famous. A lot of places say this, and while I would guess they are the best you can find in Ptown, do you really think they are *famous*?
We ordered another round, I just picked a random drink, and while it was good it was made with gin. Oh well, not my normal choice, but it was still good and I could just sip it slower to enjoy it. Whatever, right? Server asked how we liked them, my companions said they loved theirs, I nodded and smiled, but he called me out asking to make sure I loved it. I figured I'd be honest and say "Well I didn't really read it had gin, but its still fine." To which he responded "Oh yes its gin, its very popular and very good. It's a VERY GOOD DRINK YOU LOVE IT!" Yes, I know, its just not my taste as I explained, don't TELL me I love it. If you are going to call me out for not loving it, offer me something else instead of telling me my opinion is simply wrong.
Our second trip Saturday night for a quick dinner wasn't pleasant. Our server was also full of himself/the establishment and insisted on how world famous the cocktails were. I get it, they are good, but world famous? Come on now. I got the ginger-lime cosmo again (which is great, by the way!) and when it arrived he set it down and said, "Just look how beautiful that is!" Again, the drink is great, but it is absolutely not beautiful. Its dark yellowish color and filmy surface looks like a sneezed-out-cocktail. Don't get me wrong, this appearance is simply because of the ingredients, but it is in no way beautiful.
We must have read the wrong menu (or maybe a lunch menu?) that was posted out front, because our menus simply didn't have a page available that offered the two options I could eat (falafel and veg burger) so I had one crummy choice of a salad hold the cheese. The server seemed taken back that I could possibly not want a protein added, but hey, I can't eat your meat and fish options, I assure you I would have enjoyed some protein to round out my meal. So I order the salad without cheese, and wouldn't you know halfway through I find a big chunk of cheese in it! Lovely!
Also with the salad, there were two sizes listed, I didn't remember when ordering and he naturally put my order in as the large. A heaping pile of arugala with small bits of corn and red onion arrived, and try as I might there was simply no way I could eath that much arugala. I'm talking it was at least 10 ounces of it. I tried and I tried (and trust me, since I had no protein I was eating all I could) but I left a third of it. The waiter says "Oh you didn't like it?" as he takes it away. Um, first, rude. Second, no, I didn't like it because it w as a plain salad. I'm not complaining because I knew that up front, but since he clearly didn't care what I actually though why bother telling him?
I was just off put by the attitude of the service. For a cocktail this place is great (when you ignore the pretentiousness) but I'd skip on the food. Major props for the darker skinned guy working the host booth, who was really sweet and helped us decide both times to choose to eat there.
So I just moved back to town and am a local chef here in provincetown, I have been waiting all winter to get back and sit on the gorgeous and newly styled patio! Sadly, which this is always a problem that can be fixed because believe I know opening week is always an ironing board for all the kinks: the service, timing and training staff.
We arrived at 12:45, party of 4. Sunday, mothers day and gorgeous out. Not too many tables, seemed fully staffed, sat right away, we immediately knew a round of bloody Marie's were needed and they came promptly. With our drinks we orders 2 half dozen of 2 different oysters , both of which were not local... :( ... And they took over 15 minutes to come out. But when they came the were ok. A little large for my liking but I was raised w the sweet little necks or wellfleets! I'm spoiled I guess. It then took another 20 minutes for our food and I had a 2o clock meeting so I started to get a little antsy... Our food finally came and it was just what I needed great huge portion of fish and chips. Moms burger was cooked perfect and everyone was happy although for the price of a burger that looked pre patties and covered in yellow cheese they didn't include fries.. I am slightly baffled by this bec I know the small cost to add a potato side on is nearly pennies. As the food was delivered my table mate asked for another bloody and I asked for the check. Our credit card was signed and dropped back off 10 minutes before her last refreshment was brought over fully watered down from melted ice as the drink must have been forgotten about. Our served was also missing in action a majority of the time with no return to check how our food was and when u have 2 red meat items on a table that is honestly important when the temp on meat is rather important to a diner... I really hope to return soon and see that the steps of service can be set in place not only for the guest eating but for the organization of your staff! Welcome home and see you soon!
"Excellent food and an even better atmosphere!"
We had dinner there and the patio was fantastic. Great people watching, and the food is also extremely tasty. I had the burger.. which was amazing (people wonder why i would go to a seafood resto and have a burger.. its because it was a great value.. and very tasty) and my girlfriend had the lobster linguine.. which was AMAZING. I had a few bites.. and seriously was thinking about it for days after wanting more! They like to make very strong high ball drinks too! :)
Meh. Â I have experienced better. Â Couldn't have said it any better, Yelp.
Provincetown is the land of the homosexuals and it's always a sight for sore eyes. Â The ambiance is amazing, and you feel exceptionally swank while dining at Patio. Â After walking around a ton looking at the little shops, all I wanted was a decent, delicious lunch.
I ordered a Cafe Burger (1/2 lb burger with montery jack cheese, avacado, caramellized onions, and spicy mayo with a side of cole slaw, tomatoes, lettuce and a pickle for topping.) which ran me a good ~$12.00. Â Not too bad, considering the quality of ingredients, however I would have been just as satisfied with a cheaper burger from a place like UBurger. Â The portion of the cole slaw on the side was tiny - for once I wish that I had received a side order of fries with it. Â I think I'd even stoop as low to say that I'd even prefer a Big Mac from McDonald's, and that's pushing it. Â I also ordered a Chili Passion Fruit Martini (Passion fruit rum, passion fruit, chili flakes, orange juice) which was delicious! Â Patio serves up some awesome cocktails, which enables me to give this place an extra star.
Because I was a tad tired from walking around all afternoon, and because I didn't receive a better portion of food for the money I paid for, I'm giving Patio 2 stars. Â I'd much rather save my money and stock up on the yummy fudge or the portuguese malasadas not too far down the street! Â Soooo good!
The cards were stacked against Patio the first time we went there. Â I was super hungry, but wanted "good" food and a cool outdoor space on which to eat it. Â It was a Friday night in August and everything in town was slammed. Â So after trying our usual "good" food places, we gave Patio a try. Â Patio had immediate seating on their massive indoor/outdoor patio.
I had always sort of thought that Patio was a touristy place - you come to town, you don't know where to eat, you want to sit on a patio and enjoy the weather and eat overpriced mediocre food, but you're in Ptown and it's awesome so who cares?!? Â .... Anywho I was right and wrong: our table neighbors were a mix of locals and P-town newbies. Â After our food and drinks came I figured out why. Â Our cocktails were FANTASTIC and all of our dished to definitely be recommended. Â Our server was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Â Overall I definitely recommend Patio, as it has now joined my "good" food restaurants group. Â
My only reason for not giving Patio five stars is that it is a bit on the pricey side.
I will not try Patio in 2010.
I will not try Patio in 2010.
I will not try Patio in 2010.
Now, maybe I'll remember to avoid this place and won't forget about the horrid food we had in 2009. And the gross, poor excuse for a restaurant in 2008. I forget from year to year as Patio has a very inviting patio. We've gotten inticed on one of those beautiful balmy nights, no plans, no reservations anywhere, wanting to do the al fresco thing, walked down Commercial Street and ended up here. I will not go back. Even for drinks.
Service is chaotic, food is so disgusting I wonder how anyone is calling themselves a chef. And it isn't cheap.
Okay, I've been mean enough... You've been warned.
I had an early dinner here in August 2009 and I have to say the restaurant is great for people watching. If you can get in early enough for the happy hour specials, you can get some good munchies to tie you over while you sip a cocktail. However, don't expect too much from the apps. I found the dumplings I ordered had way more "skin" than actual filling.
I remember when this restaurant used to be called Blase. Let's put it this way.... if you remember the old Blase, this place is prettier, pricier, with a more "up" market menu... but still the same mediocre quality of food.
Reasons to come here would be for the location, location, and location.
Provincetown during Labor Day weekend. Â The place was energetic, upbeat, and really fun.
It's the last big blowout of the season. Â Commercial Street was packed with people (and canines) and no one had a frown. Â
With so many restaurants to choose from, we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Â We decided on Patio based on prior experience and we wanted to people-watch. Â
We went balls-out, so to speak. Â We ordered the biggest lobsters they had and we weren't disappointed. Â The lobsters were cooked perfectly. Â The meat was tender. Â The butter was piping hot. Â And we made an absolute mess of the table.
The corn on the cob and the baked potatoes were also wonderful and recipients of way, way, way too much butter (but that was our fault -- we lathered it on like we were on death row and the governor was out of town).
Awesome.
Only complaints were our drinks had a slight soapy taste (which is, at least, hygenic-tasting). Â And the coffee after the meal was horrendous. Â I believe the word "sludge" could summarize it the best. Â However, as soon as we told our server, he got us fresh cups and it was great.
Oh yeah, the server.... When he came over to greet us, he didn't ask us how we were doing. Â Instead, he told us a story about what was going on in his life. Â And the story was hilarious. Â Instant connection. Â We liked the guy because he started sharing with us.
That was just cool. Â He was great. Â Much better than the "Welcome to blah, blah, blah, I'm whoever and I'll be your server." Â He told us about himself and that's where we started the conversation. Â Loads of fun.
Finally, the atmosphere? Â Of course it was great. Â It seemed like you could hear laughter from every table. Â
What a great way to end the summer season.
As some restaurants in P-town, this is another one that makes great business by creating an aura of being one of those places in town that is great to see and be seen in the busiest part of Commercial Street.
We sat outside and ordered our drinks. Â Some opted for wine and others for cocktails. Â The chairs were the typical metal outside patio ones so they were quite uncomfortable. Â Drinks were all good but, as expected, very pricey. Â Our very friendly but super rushed server took our orders... food started to come out quite fast. Â With a table of 8 people, ensuring that all of the food came together at the same time, and hot, was quite a task and they did. Â
For the appetizer, I had the Caprese salad with a nice touch of balsamic in a color coordinated yellow and red tomatoes with an anemic service of mozzarella cheese and a couple of pieces of basil. Â The other salads and appetizers looked good. Â As for the main course, I ordered the grilled salmon, which came with a side veggies nicely steamed. Â However, the lemon sauce on the salmon was quite lacking and wish it had more than what was served to cover the fact that the salmon was totally not seasoned.

Final Comment: Another typical restaurant on Commercial Street that serves overpriced drinks, overpriced and under-seasoned food and super rushed service to get you out of there so they can fill up the tables with the next group of willing to spend money in a over-rated restaurant. Â Just another place in town that people go to just because it is one of those places that everyone has to go to too... Â Makes sense?
So I got pretty tipsy from only drinking one third of my raspberry mojito...I know I am a lightweight when it comes to drinking but that's just insane!
This was our first meal in Provincetown and it was all positive. Our waiter was incredibly nice and cute, the drinks were awesome (see the paragraph above) and the food was really good.
We actually enjoyed this place so much, that we went back again while in Provincetown. The second time was for dinner and they were very accommating to me, as I am vegan.
Dorian and I stopped here for lunch after getting to Provincetown, and it was okay. Â It wasn't as magical as a $65 lunch should be in my opinion. Â Yes, I understand we're in the touristy area, but it was pretty spendy. Â
I ordered a half dozen oysters, which were good but I didn't get clued in to what types they were. Â The minionette was all liquid, but it was good. Â The cocktail sauce had capers minced in, which was a little different in a good way. Â They oysters were very fresh, but came out kinda watery, which was weird.
I ordered a California burger, which was a burger with avocado, caramelized onions, monterey jack cheese on a bun, and a sauce that wasn't particularly memorable. Â My burger came pretty well done even though I'd ordered it medium rare, which isn't ever good. Â The "avocado" was more like guacamole in the sense that it was mashed up....it was skimpy and pretty lame-I would have preferred whole slices of avocado. Â The caramelized onions were more like sauteed onions since they definitely weren't cooked long enough to caramelize. Â The sandwiches come with coleslaw, which was bland and served in a tiny portion. Â Certainly not an $11 burger.
I stuck with water, but Dorian ordered a ginger mojito, which was really tasty.....it certainly boozy, which it damn well better be for $9+ for a drink. Â The ginger was very pungent, but not over powering and neither was the mint. Â It was pretty tasty.
Overall, it was okay. Â I wasn't wowed with the food, but I would come back to drink.
Everything about this place was fabulous!
Drink - Patio Peach Ice Tea - Great price: $9.25 and definitely had a good amount of alcohol - It was tasty!
Soup - Claim Chowder was creamy, could have used more clams though
Food - Joe and I split the Lobster Pizza - HOLY CRAP! It was AWESOME OMG I WANT MOOOOOOOORE! Generous portions of lobster, gooey mozarella cheese - And at a very fair price (I think it was like $22?) We each got 3 or 4 slices each out of that sucker and I loved every bite
The service was so great in handling our ginormous 2 table party.
The area itself is mostly what the name says - A Patio - But I did check out the small bar and a few seats that they had - Very clean look - Definitely quinessentially Cape Cod
I'll be back again in a heartbeat
I have to give this place a lot of brownie points for accomendating a group of 22 yelpers on a busy Saturday afternoon with quite the speedy service. The location is perfect to people watch on the main street underneath cool umbrellas.
However, foodwise, this place left me a bit lacking. Â I got their recession special which was priced awesomely for a 3 course meal under $18. Â I changed the clam chowder for a gazpacho soup, which was the first time I tried one. Â I found it to be a bit plain but cooling in the hot summer heat. Â The half a lobster with ceasar salad was a bit uneventful. Â
The vanilla cheesecake was the best part of the meal, but its really hard to have a disappointing cheesecake in my mind at least. Â I didn't have any of the drinks because I was trying to slow myself down, but I heard they were quite enjoyable.
Pros- terrific location, great people watching, and feeling like you're part of the P-town in-crowd
Cons- Painfully slow service, inattentive waitstaff, expensive, tasteless food in miniscule portions
My husband and I had lunch here last Saturday afternoon. Â He had a ham and cheese panini, I had a California burger. Â His panini was tiny. Â My burger was greasy. Â I really wanted the chop chop salad, but because I wanted it without ham the waiter told me this could not be accomodated, as the ham and turkey were already pre-mixed. Â
I'd go here for drinks, but skip the food.
A nice restaurant located on the main drag, Patio is one of the two dog-friendly eating establishments in town, and this fact and the raw oysters I saw passing by drew us in.
The service was friendly, and our waiter immediately brought Woofie a water bowl along with our menus. We started with bloody marys, which were a perfect pairing for my Wellfleet oysters, which were almost too fresh and salty. The lobster roll was palatable and, I guess, reasonably priced at $15.95. My dining companion said his chicken panini was somewhat boring and dissatisfying, though.
All in all, not a bad place to fuel up for the long day of walking on the beach that lay ahead, and major points on the dog thing.
I would have appreciated enjoying my lunch without two patrons coming up to us (as we were clearly finished and waiting for our check) to express their displeasure that I had brought a dog along.
We were invited to bring him, so these sorts of complaints should really go to the staff and not two people trying to enjoy their lunch.
I'm on the verge of giving 4 stars, but the somewhat mediocre food and the stuffy clientele made the entire experience decidedly average.
I think we'd have been smarter to come for happy hour --$1 oysters and a tired dog might have been more pleasant, and easier on the wallet.
They must have thought all day to come up with the name of this place.
They had some imagination left to make the room attached to the patio an inviting, stark, modern and efficient looking dining room too.
Point off: the sliders were skimpy on meat and caramelized onions, and what meat was there was tough, which might have slid better with more onions. Bleu cheese was a nice addition. My friend had a reg. cheeseburger which was reported as such.
More E. European serving staff shipped in for the summer. Adequate service with no cultural touchpoints (which might explain the food if the same staffing applies to the kitchen too.)
I have eaten here quite a few times, but the last trip there was a different experience. Yelpers were involved-- Need I really say any more? Spanking the host, making other diners feel uncomfortable and move tables by asking them for their phone number as part of a miniature scavenger hunt, and telling wildly inappropriate jokes then turning around and realizing there were children present. Having a server that handled our rambunctious butts added to the experience.
Drinks were good, creative, and pricy, but hey, it is P-town. The food was good. I shared the grilled cheese sandwich with apples. I was excited to try it, but when I got it, I couldn't taste the apple. I pulled apart the grilled cheese (I will not go into the matching joke that was told corresponding to that action) and quickly discovered why. There were two paper thin slices of apple in the sandwich that, as the test proved, you could LITERALLY read through. You say I am getting apple, I want apple, and I certainly wanna taste apple... what can I say, I like my apples, so how do you like them apples... The cole slaw was fresh and a different take that was refreshing. It had interesting, yet pleasant seasoning to it that we could not exactly place.
The staff is great at mirroring the type of experience you would like. Whether it be a quiet romantic dinner with the honey (new or old), a pleasant dinner with friends, or a silly lunch with friends.
Will I go back? Duh, that is a no-brainer, especially now that I know I can not only go there for a quiet relaxing dinner, but a wild, raucous lunch and drinks on the patio
Bonus Points for being able to deal with rambunctious Yelpers which included spanking the host, requesting the server for his number, asking random dining patrons for their phone numbers and then leading them to move over a table ('cause we think we made them feel awkward), and lots of sex talk.
The calamari was alright. Served with 3 dipping sauces. It wasn't the greatest but it wasn't the worst I've had. The passion fruit margarita was just mehhhh..... but that might be because I'm not really a huge fan of passion fruit, I shoulda stuck with a regular margarita. It just seemed so.... bitter. Could also be the type of tequila they use too.
So while the food isn't entirely 5 stars, their service is worth going for and enjoying the outdoor seating (aka people watching).
Let's start with zero stars...
-Hot gay black man (the host) who let me spank him (HARD). Â +1 star.
-A drink lists for martinis AND mojitos (all of which were soooo delicious). Â +1 star.
-Yummy food. Â +1 star.
-Wonderful outdoor patio that's perfect for people watching. Â +1 star.
-Friendly, attentive service. Â +1 star.
FIVE stars.. but then, I spent $24 bucks for one drink and an appetizer. Â Not unusual for Provincetown, but, still... my wallet wants to keep a star.
I had been here once before for late dessert, and I remember friendly service and a yummy dessert on that occasion. Â This occasion, I had the mini-burgers (which the server unabashedly admitted were frozen and which managed to be REALLY juice and delicious) and then I tasted the Calamari (SOOO good and with bodies) the grilled ham and cheese (gooey melty deliciousness my mouth) the lobster roll (mayo based but VERY light with the mayo, as it should be).
I drank a martini with mango and CHILIS... spicy and yum and tastes the passion fruit and the watermelon mojitos... also very very good.
Definitely worth a stop by.
Why five stars? Â This restaurant has the very best New England clam chowder I have ever had in my life! Â It is perfectly creamy, with tender clams, potatoes, onions, celery and an herb that made it the real hit for me, thyme and just the right amount! Â
Always torn between the lobster roll or flaky fish and chips my daughter and I decided to share, it's nice to share. Â The tender lobster was lightly dressed and filled the toasted bun. Â The fried haddock was thick pieces lightly battered and fried to a crispy crunch. Â Both were reasons to make me return and I made it a point to add the Patio into our dining plans. Â
The setting of the Patio with the umbrellas and the wide open doors to the bar is in view makes for a cozy and relaxing experience where you certainly feel welcomed. Â The Patio is a great place to eat, enjoy being alive and people watch.
Patio was a great spot for lavish late night snacks on a recent trip to Ptown. Â We sat on the patio (duh) overlooking the bustling main street and witnessed such fine events as a drag queen dressed up in a sexified vinyl Santa Claus suit chasing pedestrians on a glittery aqua Vespa scooter!
The food was great-- rare tuna with a seaweed salad for me, and mini-burgers for my man. Â We were both pleased. Â My blackberry mojito was amazing-- best mojito i've ever had actually, with real crushed blackberries. Â So mouthwateringly delicious and fresh.
We really appreciated the chill vibe...our waitress was friendly and sweet and didn't rush us as we relaxed for the first time in months on our vacation. Â We will definitely be back when we visit Ptown again.
Tried this place for the first time this past week while on Vaca in P-town (I DO NOT WANT TO RETURN TO REALITY!!!! HELLLP)
anyway... I had the fish and chips, which was fresh and light... not too heavily weighed down with oil. Â I think the presentation of the food was fun (served in a narrow wire basket, wrapped in a faux-newspaper... and the drinks were great. There are several libations which offer a twist of champagne to kick your afternoon off right!! Definitely a trip worth making!!
