My husband and I found this place totally by accident, on our first trip to Truro in 2009. Â We have been devoted customers ever since. Â The scones are absolutely to DIE for. Â Im now gluten intolerant so I'm sadly unable to taste them... but if you can eat wheat, I highly recommend them! The breakfast sandwich The Breaker nearly brings my husband to tears every time he has one. Â Wood fired pizzas are very good, and this season they offer a gluten free option! Â And my friends the ice cream.... Oh the ice cream.... We do think this is the best we have ever had. Â Ever. Â Anywhere. Â No lie. Â You have to try the ice cream. Wow!
There are many, many superlatives about Savory and Sweet Escapes. Â We are such devote fans that we even bought t-shirts! Â
I can and do recommend Savory and Sweet Escapes wholeheartedly, with one caveat: the service is uneven at best... And often quite surly. Â Now remember, we are fans. Â we think the quality of the product here is absolutely outstanding. Â We recommend you go and enjoy, but Please don't be surprised if the service is not up to the quality of the food. Â Be polite and patient and you will be rewarded with some absolutely outstanding baked goods, sandwiches, pizza, and ice cream. Â Like us, you will return every single time you are on the Cape.
