Haha, this place. THIS place. Good times at this place.
The music is GREAT for the crowd. Seriously. Everyone is in their mid-twenties and nostalgic for greener and greater pastures. So of course, the DJ whips out the 80's and 90's jams. Some of the music is a little old for me, but most of the songs make me go "OH MY GOD THIS MY JAM"
The drinks are average and their prices are a little bit above average. Meh, not crazy about the alcohol here. But I'm not really here to drink - I'm here to DANCE.
The dance floor is fun and it gets pretty packed. Bouncers keep the place nice and safe and clean. They were EVERYWHERE. An acquaintance of mine put his empty beer down on the floor by the wall. Less than 5 minutes later, the bouncer comes by and picks it up. How... how did he know?!
I don't think I would travel all the way to Palo Alto just for this. But if I'm in the area, I would stop by.
Funny story: I was in the girl's bathroom when this 6 foot fall Asian girl started screaming "OH MY GOD. I LOVE YOUR HAIR", and proceeded to touch my head. The she alerted her equally tall black friend and SHE started touching my hair. We had a moment.
