Patsy's has the best food in town. Not to be confused with the Patsy's off Jeronimo in Mission Viejo. This Patsy's has been remodeled, they have recently updated there food and drink menue. I highly suggest trying the Colcannon creamy mash potatoes they are to die for . Thank you Patsy's!

I absolutely heart this place!! The staff there is bar none a cut above the rest and a joy to be around. However, there are no words that can properly describe the artistry of Richard's mixology skills!! His Cactus Cooler sent me to the moon and back. But it was his charm and affable personality that made me a regular for life!! Thanks Patsy's, for being AWESOME SAUCE!

If you like meat as much as I do, the only thing you need to know on the menu is The Tour of Ireland. Eat it. Love it. Live it. Then take a shot of whiskey.

Other noteworthy items...the fries are amazing. Probably some of the best you'll ever have. This establishment is giving you meat, booze, and french fries. Need I say more? Just go and get your grub/drink on.

The service is awful in this place. I went there with my three friends and we were received by the waitress from hell! The place smells bad and the food was cold.

I don't know why I always end up here, maybe because it's the only place in town that's open til 2am and has trivia. Used to come here for karaoke night, but now they have this dumb system where you have to have an app on your smart phone just to request a song. I explained that I don't have a smart phone, and the attitude was "Oh well sucks for you, too bad". Sometimes the staff is friendly, I have a few bartenders I like (Richard, Leah, Batina), but other times when it's busy, the bartender (don't know her name, bigger girl) is snappy, rude, and ignores patrons, and only helps the cute guys. There was another bartender that was totally rude too, and her boyfriend would just sit in the back during her shift and glare at everyone while splashing down free drinks. Luckily I haven't seen her there in a while, she was a real piece of work. I don't know how drunk I'd have to be to try the food again, and when I didn't like it, the server was all "Oh, well you seemed to eat quite a bit there for not liking it". Sorry, but a few bites? I came no where close to finishing. I just replied "oh okay, thanks, my dog might like it". Luckily Signature Sports took over the old Draft Choice on Niguel Rd, I've been taking my business there lately.

We had a blast at Patsy's for St. Patrick's Day! It was obviously crowded (since the Irish Holiday and all) but the service was still awesome and the crowd was having a blast! You can tell from all the pictures taken in our photo booth that night! For Good people, strong drinks, and a chill night, this is definitely a go-to place!

The amount of fun I had here this past weekend should be criminal. I'm totally obsessed with karoake and I'd heard great things about this place for awhile. Totally lived up to the expectation. I'm still recovering from Saturday night as I type out this review. I'm looking forward to trying more of the food as well. I love irish food!

A night at Patsy's is always a fun, drunken, wild time!

Strong Drinks, Nice, Attentive Bartenders (I'm a Regular), Super cool Security Guards, Large selection on vodka, rum, tequila, beer...EVERYTHING!!!

Love the DJ! Always great music. So much fun to dance to. Strobe lights are going, everyone is having a fun time! Karaoke is always hilarious! People get up there drunk and try to sing and follow the lyrics. It's too funny.

The crowd is both Young and Older. It's kind of divided when You walk in, but if everyone mingles thats cool too. I always have a good time here, and when I come here I know i'll be leaving with a happy buzz! and definitely a great story to tell in the morning ( If I Remember)

    ;) Yeahhh Patsys!

This place is great. I've had the Shepards pie, bangers and mash, fresh grilled mahi mahi, fish and chips, shrimp pasta, and all if it was great also had appetizers like the boiled shrimp and the clam strips, both good choices. Had the brownie for desert one night too. If you like home cooked Irish food or just a solid meal this place will not disappoint. I will be a regular here from now on.

The service was excellent. Joanne was a great server who was working her tail off on a busy Friday night. Always checked up on us, made us feel like we were long time patrons even though it was our first time there.  The music was great and the karaoke was lively to say the least.  Most importantly, the bar staff knew how to pour a proper pint of Guinness, and the pour on the Woodford Reserve was spot on....

The food...what can you say about the food??!!   Underwhelming comes to mind.  Under-seasoned strikes a bell.  Modestly priced for South OC.  However, bland and totally unremarkable is the best way I can describe it.

First off, when you say on the menu that the Irish Nachos are made with "french fries", don't have them come out with a plate of potato chips with a smattering of cheese. Weak...except for the sodium which was present to a tongue numbing extent.

Second, Irish Tacos.... well I never thought I would say Jack in the Box made good tacos, but they would be haute cuisine compared to what they served here.

Folks, you have a good place, comfortable, clean, but your food is sub par at best.  Go to some other Irish Pubs in North OC or better still in LA and tell me if you think your food can compare.  If I go back here, it will be for the drinks only.  Oh yeah, and by the way, you need to cut people off before they get so blind stinking drunk that they are falling down on the dance-floor.

We came to Patsy's for drinks before dinner at a friend's house one night. We got there just in time for HH. HH is 7 days a week from 4:30-6:30pm. They have pretty good deals on HH. Select appetizers are $5, domestic drafts are $2.50 and well drinks are $4. Patsy's is a nice size pub but our waitress was a little on the slow side. I couldn't tell if she was busy but our drinks took an awfully long time to come out. She was super sweet so I didn't get too upset over it. But considering how empty the place was, I didn't understand. And especially for Sunday night football. It's a pretty good place to watch the game though. They have lots of TVs facing all sorts of directions. Not sports central, but you could definitely enjoy the game here, especially if you're looking to indulge in their awesome HH deals and looking for a mellow night.

After a couple drinks, I couldn't wait for dinner so I ordered the sliders that were recommended by the waitress. They came out 3 to an order served with steak fries. The slider was delish! Grilled onions, juicy meat all sandwiched between a nice Hawaiian roll. Maybe a tad saltier than I like but still very good.

I'd definitely come back here again. It's not very close to home, but their sweet deals and food just gave me a glimpse of what seems to be a promising menu.

I see it being described as hole in the wall but I don't know many hole of the wall joints that have nice leather bound menus and a candle flickering at the table.

Went back for a third try.  Leah the bartender was very nice and helpful, but there were only a few people there.

The corned Beef tacos were awesome according to my husband.  He is hooked!

Looks like if they have a crowd and you are not a regular, don't expect great service.

Just a typical bar.  Coining the term Irish Pub I would expect a much broader selection of beer and the Boddingtons to be served traditionally.

If you want to come here at 11:30am for lunch, think twice. A pub for lunch? It probably wasn't the soundest of ideas huh? Well we sat for 2 hours waiting for our meal, and in the end, was it worth it? NO!

    Silly us.

*Inhale*...Ahh the smell of booze, food, and bathroom.  Patsy's is like one of my relatives that I really didn't care for at first, then over the years, I've learned to love.  Now now...I know you're probably wondering..."Nick, why on Earth would you love this place?  It's dark, dingy, and there's more alcohol in the carpet than at the bar."  Sigh..  Honestly, that's why I kind of like it.  The food is great.  I usually get the fried potatoes and some Johnny Walker (that's generously poured, I must say).  But to be honest, it's not just the food that makes this place, but the fun I have with my friends when I come here.

Everyone checks their ego and their attitude at the door and Patsy's is a great place to just forget about the stresses of the day and have a great time.  If Patsy was there, I would give her a big wet one.   *MUAH*

We gathered a group of friends together and headed for some karaoke at Patsy's  Irish Pub.  Fun place to relax, enjoy great music and sing a few tunes.  The beer selection is not bad with the likes of Guinness, Boddington, Fat Tire, but no real local craft beers.  We ordered a pizza later in the night and it tasted like a Celeste frozen pizza.  Not too good to say the least.  Serves the group right for ordering a pizza in an Irish Pub.  Other than the pizza, a great place to hang with family and friends.

A little hole in the wall pub, they offer decent priced drinks, good happy hour specials, and the food isn't half bad either.
I have had the corned beef here, which was really good, as well as the irish nachos.
I would suggest avoiding this place on St. Patty's since its wall-to-wall people

Pull Up A Seat At The Bar

Real Irish bar in Laguna Niguel (e.g., emerald carpet, dark wood, framed mirrors). The food is good and especially when they offer specials daily like BOGO hamburger night. The corned beef tacos are excellent and the tempura green beans with dipping sauce are sinfully delicious. They've kicked up the entertainment recently and some nights they have karaoke. Generous pours for drinks, low key, easy vibe. Five bucks goes a long way on the jukebox. Right side is dining/entertainment, left is pool table/darts/bar side. Friendly bartenders who have been there for years.

My friend and I have come here a handful of times since we live locally and the service is always great! The bartender (I don't know her name) is a sweetheart and is really on her game especially when it gets busy. The times we come there's always karaoke going on and it's a blast watching people and yes this is a GREAT people watching place, too :)

The atmosphere here is laid back and positive. I definitely want to come here sometime during the day soon and try their food! Great place :)

When I moved to South OC, specifically Laguna Niguel, I didn't think I find such a cool bar in the neighborhood but thankfully I did.
Patsy's is considered more of a dive bar but not too divey.
They have great food and great cocktails.
My FAVORITE bartender is Richard. Honestly, he's the sweetest guy ever!
I've never had a bad time. Nice people, great drinks, good food.. can't go wrong!

I would not have seen this place on the beaten path as it's in a strip mall, but so glad I live in the neighborhood and saw it as I was headed to 7-11.  The place is so much bigger than it looks from the outside, and anything that says "Irish Pub" is worth exploring.

They have a huge bar seating that goes around into two rooms.  One looks like it's better for the dinner crowd, and the other seems to be for those drinking.  I didn't care about that and sat in the drinking side and had some dinner.

The menu covers the basics for Irish Pub food.  I've had the fish and chips and the bangers and mashed and both were good.  Not amazingly good, but darn good.  And the price is right.

The bar staff is super friendly and welcoming, so you don't mind sitting alone.  There are tables throughout if you are not a belly-up-to-the-bar type.  On Tuesday, some regulars get together to play video trivia and get right into it, which is entertaining to watch.  Various games are being shown on the multiple TVs they have.

I like the place, and quite possibly could love the place soon.  I have more menu items to explore first.

Only improvement could be some extra taps as the beer selection is not what you usually see in a pub that size.  But they do have my favorite...Stella...so all is right with Patsy's.

Bottom line - great place and worth a visit!

Patsy's is a good local pub for folks living in Laguna Niguel.  As previously mentioned by other reviewers the corned beef tacos and green bean appetizer (they call it The Wexford) are delicious.  Bartenders Richard, Fabia, Kim and Suzanne are all very nice and personable.  You can tell they're veteran bartenders who know how to work a bar, have experience and are friendly and professional.  I've had the chance to meet Maryann and Jack who are part of the ownership and they're wonderful.  You can tell they care about taking a very good product and making it even better.

Couple of tips both good and bad.  Great place to watch football.  Tasty breakfast options and reasonably priced food for NFL Sundays.  And besides Guinness they have another one of my favorites Sierra Nevada on tap.  Avoid the bar side on Tuesdays.  There is a lady with the shrillest, most obnoxious, loudest, annoying voice you will ever encounter.  She plays trivia with some other regulars after work on Tuesdays.  Trust me on this.

Overall, Patsy's is a very enjoyable neighborhood pub with numerous beer choices, friendly bartenders, good service and a nice clientele.

A decent place to grab a beer when you're in the area and don't want to drive elsewhere. They have Guiness, so at least they have one decent beer on tap. The demographic is roughly late 30s to 40s, with horrible karaoke singing a lot of the time. A great place to go if you want to feel good about your singing voice. Sometimes the staff is nice, other times they are rather brusque. The bouncer always seems like he's trying to pick a fight?

If you can get a driver, I'd suggest you head north, to the land of milk and honey and bars that are better than this one.

If you're looking for a dive bar, this place is great.  The staff is friendly, and the beer is good.  The food is just ok, but it's a pub, what do you expect?  Nothing pretentious about this place, just good old fashioned pub.

    The prices are reasonable.

I guess my only complaint is the prevalence of karaoke.  I am not a fan, but I guess if nothing else, it's fun to watch the drunks sing Def Leppard with all their heart.

About a decade ago, my wife and lived in the apartments right behind the bar.  Luckily, we were already fans of the place, so it was quite the convenient arrangement.  Back then the food, drinks, prices, and management were all excellent, and at that time it would have gotten a 5.

Then the new manager took over about 7 years ago, and the place went downhill fast.  THe friendly waitresses were replaced with slow, rude eyecandy.  The food quality went way downhill, the prices went up, some menu items actually changed (the Suir went from an irish take of beef stroganoff to lamb stew), and the manager was quite rude.  Many of the irish items were replaced with standard bar fare like hot wings. At this point, it would have been 2 stars for me

Over the past 3 years, it has been improving.  The same manager is there, but he has hired some better staff, and added some new very good irish items back to the menu.

Be careful on the deep fried dishes.  I really think they don't change the oil as often as they should - some days they are really good and other days you can tell the oil is bad.

    Items to get:
Corned beef tacos - not authentic but literally the best item in the joint!
Burgers - again not Irish but the best anywhere IMO
    Shepherds Pie
    Irish Whiskey!
    Great beers on tap!

    Items to avoid:
Deep fried items - in terms of quality anything goes here
Sodas - for as long as I have been going there all there sodas have tasted like carbonated dirt.  But hey it is a bar so live it up!
The RAW Oysters have sometimes seemed less than fresh

Best local karaoke bar in South Orange County.

I have to respectfully disagree with all the hating going on about this bar. My better half and myself have been the last 3 Saturday's after our favorite karaoke bar Bobby D's in Lake Forest decided to ditch karaoke for a shity band night.

    1) I have no idea what Timothy is talking about...The newlywed bartender behind the bar had a nice smile and pours generous amounts of booze into our drinks. Prices were reasonable.

    2) The surly bar keep was pretty fair and even handed...Some ass clown grabbed some guys wife's ass and he exited the douche-bag FAST...No fight...No cops...No drama

    3) The karaoke is good...Nice list...Had pretty much 3 versions of every song...At most karaoke joints they only have the one.

    4) All three nights we had a few drinks and saw ZERO sheriffs on our drive home...My buddy is OCSD and he says there is no "watch list"

    5) Good BAR food...If you want a New York Steak go to Flemming's and shoot over for drinks & good tunes.

    Bottom Line

I'm not involved as an owner or an employee of this establishment...I'm just a fan of karaoke who is very critical of shity bars (Like the Patsy's in Mission Viejo) and I think this place has been open for 25 years for a reason. The prices are fair...the tunes are good...The regulars (Which I will now be from now on) are nice and supportive if you need it to get on the microphone.

Any good bar should be comfortable from the moment you walk in, sort of like slipping into an old shoe. That's Patsy's. We've come to think of it as our neighborhood pub, and we try and go in for a drink whenever we have a night out.

I haven't eaten there, mainly because I go there to get my drink on. And, I have to say, the drinks are always good. The staff has always been friendly to me and the service good.

Karaoke is always a entertaining. There's no karaoke pros there and everyone is very supportive of the singers. Even the guys trying to sing Journey, and there seem to be more of those than I would ever wish to see.

If you're looking for a unpretentious neighborhood bar to go kick back and have a drink - hit Patsy's.

Patsy's is like the "Cheers" of Laguna Niguel: huge following of regulars, karaoke on Friday nights, cheap stiff drinks, bartenders who have worked there for 10 years...Patsy's has it all.

Tucked away in a strip mall, Patsy's can be hard to find if you aren't looking for it. It's divided in two sections by a wall: the "pub" and the "pool" (for the pub-side and the pool table side.) The crowd is definitely younger on the pool side, and it gets a lot rowdier over there.

Food is good, they have corned-beef tacos which sound disgusting but are actually really tasty. Other typical pub fare includes bangers n mash, shepards pie, and fish and chips. Their fries are steak-cut and when you smother them in gravy you feel like you could be in the UK somewhere.

Oh, and unlike most bars with female or male names nowadays, there actually IS a Patsy, and she is a very nice lady.

What a bad decision this turned out to be...I came here after having wings and a couple brews at Santora's.

I had the next three days off so I figure what the heck.

Walked in saw the usual riff raff and had a Jakc and Ckoe...when she poured it it was like a four orfive second pour. It was pretty much a 4-shot jack with a splash of Coke which is fine because I'm used to Turkey Rocks and of course Jack Rocks on certain occasions.

I had two of those and by the end of the first I was feelin' goot! Very goot! Should have switched to Bud Light and water but a hell what the heck!

Met this guy who gave me props for coming into a dive on a Monday night all dressed up in business attire...totally out of my element according to him...

I ended up buying him and his two female aquaintances a round of Washington Apples. The women thought I was the coolest guy evar!

A little later I met this guy who was having a B-Day and a chick in his group started talkin' to me..about what I don't member'. But I ended up buying a round of Jager for her, the bday boy and his buddy.

And that's about the last thing I remember. I do not know how I got home do not remember getting undressed (I actually put my shoe trees IN my shoes! WOW!!! That's not something someone does after having 10+ drinks in a couple hours...

Normally when I get that trashed I lose my glasses. Done it three times...twice out the window

woke up the next morning..had everything..my watch, my wallet, MY GLASSES! and my keys

I do remember laying in bed and then waking up running outside and yacking...twice. The next morning there was a reminder of what had happened the night before that I had to wash down....with my fire hose of a garden hose

    SUMMARY: according to my reciepts

    9:37pm 2 Pints of Hef

10:02pm 4 shot jack and coke

10:17pm 4 shot jack and coke

    10:21pm 4 washington apples (I had one)

    10:33pm 4 Jagers (I had one)

(Note: This has nothing to do with a typical night at Patsy's, just Friday Karaoke.  To those of you Patsy die-hards, sorry in advance.  If you ARE a Patsy die-hard and go on Karaoke night and are still upset, piss off.)

Karaoke, one of my favorite things to do.  So when I heard that Patsy's was the Friday night spot, I thought I couldn't go wrong...then I got there.  The KJ (Theo) is situated on the more loungy, restaurant side of the bar, which was too bad.  I have no idea where they would fit him on the opposite side, but I digress.

The music selection was pretty wide-spread.  A little J. Cash, some Phil Collins, even some stuff for those of you out there who like to croon.  But in all honesty, it was really the lack of time spent up there that turned me off to the place.  The KJ didnt seem to like the fact that I have a karaoke stage name (which he told me he would appreciate if I didn't write anymore), he constantly had people do encores when there was clearly a line, and he didnt even have the second song I requested after about an hour and a half of waiting.

All in all, the place isn't set up as a karaoke bar, which it isn't.  The person in charge of the karaoke isn't a good KJ, but then again, he isn't.  But the beer selection is pretty decent (Boddington's on tap) and thats always good enough for a few stars.  Just be careful whilst hiking along the trail to the bathrooms, cougars have been spotted in the area.
