So, I actually come here on occasion. Come here to watch a game, have a beer, or a drink, and that's about it. I rarely order food here unless I'm starving, or drunk.

Last night I went in kind of late, but there was still a crowd of people. I met my friends so they had already eaten and had a few rounds. I sat and waited for a server, or the bartender, they are apparently doing it all here, and after 15 minutes I got up and went to the bar.

The bartender was apologetic and noted that he was sorry that he had left me waiting and I responded with a no problem I understood they were busy. It really wasn't a problem, but it was nice of him to acknowledge I had been waiting.

Anyways, I grab my beer and go sit down, and wait for the server. She walks by a handful of times, she still has not said a word to me. I continuously try to make eye contact, I just wanted to order some fries and maybe a salad or something. Then, after the 4th time she came up to the table and attempted to walk away quickly, I spoke up and asked if I could order some fries and she tells me the kitchen is closed she thinks.... and comes back a moment later to confirm.

I would normally be completely understanding of this if I hadn't been waiting for over 35 minutes and gone to the bar to get my own beer. SO FRUSTRATING. No apologies either... she acted almost irritated with me. Mind the restaurant is still full of people...

Anyways, not sure I'll be going back. Just a suggestion to maybe let people know the kitchen is closing in 10-15 minutes.

My family and friends really enjoy this restaurant and come here once every two weeks or so.  The calzones are great and the wings are good.  One recommendation i would make is if the short chubby girl is working behind the bar then sit in the dining area.  We sat there for 10 minutes tonight and she walked by twice without saying a word let alone asking if we want anything to drink.  She spent the whole time playing a bar game with customers sitting at the bar. This is the first time we've come here with her bartending and this is the first problem we've ever had.  The normal two guys that work are always attentive and friendly!  We ended up getting up and walking out and still she didN't acknowledge anything!

Despite the stuffy, loud environment, this place may not be that bad.

I have been curious to check out this place for years now. Not because it struck me as anything special, but just for the fact that I have driven passed it for years now on prior routs to work and being I now live within almost walking distance from it, I of course had to check it out.

After having a really successful day at work, I decided to just stop in and have a drink and possibly something to eat before I headed home.

Located in the Safeway Shopping center facing Ygnacio Valley rd, this place is not hard to miss at all.

I would have never thought this place was an Italian restaurant due to the Name of Pavilion and the overall exterior of the building. Well come to my surprise, it was completely different than imagined.

I personally think the layout of the place is horrible. I first walked in to an extremely loud, stuffy bar, that almost forced me to leave. The bar area almost reminded me of a run down taqueria straight out of Mexico. Certainly not impressive. I did however, really want a Lemon Drop, so I asked the extremely friendly host If I could just sit in the restaurant area, which he said yes and assisted me to the back restaurant area, which was much less noisy and  certainly less stuffy...ugh..

I of course ordered a Lemon Drop. It turned out to be ok. I also scanned there menu, which appears to have a variety of  tasty looking dishes with most of them being your standard Italian dishes. I was not too hungry, however, II wanted something light. I then noticed they had tomato basil soup, which I ended up ordering a small cup ( you can order small or large).

They served bread to me while waiting, which I really did not need, but they were presented quite appealing to the eye, which lead me to take a small bite of one which turned out to be actually fluffy with a nice garlic taste.

Soup then arrived fairly quickly, looking absolutely delicious and it  turn out to be just that. Far better than I expected. Creamy, with nice thick chunks of tomato, slices of onion and just flavored wonderfully. I really was curious to try there special of the Chicken Cordon Blue ( I am a huge fan of Chicken Cordon) however, being I was not too hungry, I decided to end it with my soup.

My total for everything turned out be 11. and some change. Certainly not bad. Service throughout my visit, was extremely accommodating from both the server and the host.

Overall, if you enjoy loud, stuffy, packed bars, this may be the place for you (certainly not my style) which is why I sat in the back. The food for the one little item I had, turned out to be extremely fresh and tasty and my drink was decent. Prices seem to be fairly reasonable and I was really satisfied with how accommodating and friendly the staff were. Certainly decent enough to have me curious to check them out, however, at more of a less busy time and day.
