I've had the fortune to eat here multiple times now.  Let me start by saying the food is OUTSTANDING!  To expand some, the taste and quality of the food is on the level of a restaurant significantly nicer than the initial bar/restaurant appearance may suggest.  It's a very rewarding surprise and an amazing culinary bang for your buck.

Drinks are fresh and cold, run through often cleaned lines to retain a delicious taste every time.

The facility itself is homey and the wait staff has been very attentive for each of my many visits now; it's easy to make yourself feel like part of the family from the first visit after just settling at the bar.

I've had the opportunity to meet and get to know the management as well, and am happy to highlight that the impression I received was one of ownership where they care about their patrons first.  I've learned that the one owner has many culinary accolades preceding him, and the restaurants GM has an extensive background in cuisine and beverages, which certainly explains the high level quality of the menu...heck, they even suggested drinks, (beers and wines), to match my food.

The nightlife is a celebrated one too, with live bands and a festive local crowd.  The place is very entertaining to come socialize as well as dine.  Sometimes it's fun enough to pop in for a drink to enjoy the comradeship if not to eat, (which, with the delicious smells from others dining, I usually do anyhow).

All in all, this is an AMAZING restaurant by the water, and if you're in Palm Harbor, or even in Tampa and don't mind a little drive across the bridge, it's a must-do opportunity to dine here and enjoy.  Add this one to the bucket list and check it off soon!!!

While driving through down town Palm Harbor, the Husbeast and I decided to go out to dinner at Peggy O'Neills.  Now I'd read some pretty negative press about it on 4square, about how the service was lacking, but our experience wasn't bad at all.

Our Waitress, Alex was very quick, and when asked what was good, since it was our first visit, she was quick to point out the fish and chips, the meat loaf and the mac and cheese.  Taking a cue from the suggestions we decided to order the fish and chips and the meatloaf, both were fresh and tasty, the meatloaf came with a gravy (I got mine on the side) that was made with Guiness and was absolutely decadent.  My husbeast found himself dipping his fries into it as a treat.

We actually started the meal with fried pickle spears - YUM! and ended it with something that looked like a mushroom, but really was a chocolate cupcake with espresso ice cream in the center. it was truly a meal-ender. Even with the two of us, it was far too much to eat.

The service, while not exactly first class, was good. It could have been quicker, but it was a busy Friday night at a hopping bar. The live music though, was worth mentioning.

Jenna (the cute blonde behind the bar) suggested the fish tacos. They were amazing!!!! Who knew an Irish place could make such great tacos! Great beer selection.

It was a medium class place. Lots of flat screen TV's. Looks like they upgraded. I would go again because the atmosphere was good and the food was decent. I hate when the waitresses stack my condiments on top of the main meal when they bring it out. So that the plastic bottom of the cole slaw cup was  touching the fish and chips. It was a bar food type of place and it wasn't bad. The staff could have been more friendly and outgoing. They had some good looking waitresses working there, but they were not very outgoing or energetic.

Very good food. Everything I've eaten there was awesome. They serve their sandwiches and burgers with homemade chips, or you can pay a fee and get fries. Definitely give the homemade chips a try! They are my favorite thing on the menu and are so good!

They have an irish nacho appetizer which is made with the homemade chips and has a bunch of cheese and other delicious toppings. It is HUGE and such a good value. Very good!

Great beer selection, lots of TVs, and friendly service. The food is pretty average, definitely not bad,  but nothing special.  The usual bar food, which is fine for what Peggy O'Neills is trying to be.

A classic Irish pub it is not, however.

This review is only for the late night bar crowd.

We came here the other Saturday to hang out with friends. I've never been in this area before of Palm Harbor and  I found the area to be charming. Peggy's however, was a bit of a bust for me.  Sure on a Saturday night I expect most places to be busy but the bar area was so packed you could barely move. It was also incredibly loud inside with the band playing, which made it impossible to talk to anyone. Plus, there is only one bathroom per gender which, IMO, is insane for any restaurant or bar that has more that 10 tables. The staff was mostly friendly, but attempting to order drinks was a long wait at the bar, and they were priced much higher than average.

While there are several other establishments nearby, this really seemed the only place that had any sort of live action. I definitely won't make the trip just for this place again.

I went here with my wife and buddy to get a drink. If you do visit just get beer. Two of us ordered captain and coke. I had a single tall that tasted just like coke and my buddy had a double that tasted exactly the same as mine. Beers are two dollars and are most likely not watered down. Definitely nothing special here.

Been here twice now on visits, once for dinner and once for lunch.  I am not sure how "authentic" this is as an irish bar, but its a decent offering.  We were there for lunch the the Palm Harbor Citrus Festival and the service was reasonable.  Drinks were good.  I had the fish and chips and they were nicely done, not too greasy,.  Could have used one more filet, but that's me.

Overall, solid joint.  Bathrooms are a problem.  they are single stalls for both guys/girls.  no fun to spend too much of your time waiting for one to open up.

Very upset that I had to stand with the friggin band while I waited for the ONE bathroom stall. Unbelievable. Not cool. Totally ridiculous. For as many females there to only  have one stall. Not worth the hassle. Fix that problem.

I definitely was not impressed. Me and my friend went for lunch, it took the waitress forever to come over to the table to get our drink orders. Meanwhile the restaurant was completely empty. Then it took her even longer to take our food order. When the food finally came, it tasted like it was a day old. Quite honestly, I thought the food completly sucked, and I love Irish food. The waitress acted like we were bothering her by Just being there. It might be better at night but they wont ever get my business again. There are many other places in the area to go to drink at night. We will not be returning.

Great bar food with some traditional irish dishes. The wait staff was slow but other than that its a pretty good time.

We love Peggy's. As part timers in Palm Harbor, it's usually our first stop coming from the airport.  It is a well balanced hybrid of sports bar and Irish Pub.  Each day of the week presents a new special, with 2 fer Tuesdays being a favorite of mine.  There is never a shortage of friendly folks at the bar to chat with. The girls behind the bar are on top of their game, and you never wait for a refill. The menu is varied, with Celtic items like shepherds pie (delish), and regular American fare.  Usually we sit in the bar area for cocktails and appetizers.  The wings are wonderful, as are the Thai spring rolls, potato skins and shrimp.
Peggy's is known as "the place where the locals go".  It has that type of welcoming feeling, making everyone feel as if they belong there.

Probably a 3.5 in reality, but not good enough to round up to a 4. The chicken wings were pretty good, no weirdness in the meat (always afraid) and nice and crispy and flavorful, we had buffalo, and jerk. The jerk was my favorite, sweet and peppery, and not as messy. I had a cuban sandwich and knew what I was getting into...Irish Pub Cuban Sandwich....you know whats coming. It was actually not bad.I did NOT like the accompanying potato salad, it tasted like bad mayonaise.  One person had a burger, and everyone else had fish n chips which they said were excellent.
The decor is very Stereotypical Irish Whimsy, which I love.
Service was MEH. Our server was disinterested bordering on rude.
Would I be back? Well my friend who lives down the street from here likes it, so probably I will.

Best chicken wings EVER!  Delicious!  When I say this it actually has some weight to it because my fiance and I have tried chicken wings all across the country.  We both love wings!  The menu is good with many authentic Irish dishes and many American favorites as well and is priced reasonably.  The decor is great!  I love all of the funny Irish jokes and leprechauns hanging around...great stuff!  I will be back!

In the heart of downtown Palm Harbor sits this little Irish pub with some very descent grub to take down with a couple pints of Guinness. On the menu there is a wide range of traditional Irish dishes with also a flare of there own American meals going from burgers to Turkey on a baguette with brie. It is defiantly a fine establishment with great waitresses and staff.
