This restaurant just opened again, fully renovated with attractive paintings and a design that relaxes the senses.
The Pho soups are well prepared, the broth very aromatic and almost fat-free. A large portion of fresh vegetable is served to mix with the soup. The meat is well trimmed, not too fatty, and very tasty.
Last time we had Bun, the vermicelli bowl with meats and shrimp. The sauce was great slightly tangy and sweet but it did not mask the other tastes in the bowl. The mint was fresh and complemented well this dish.
The waiters are very friendly and you are always greeted by the owner with a big smile. The restaurant is super clean and they make you feel welcome.
Plenty of space in the parking lot to park and it's easy to get there.
Worth to stop by if it's your first experience of Pho. Delicious.
My new favorite Pho place! Coming from Seattle, the bar for great Pho is set pretty high, but Pho Binh really hit the spot. The bubble tea could be a bit sweeter, but its still good.
Can't wait to come back, especially in a few months when the owner's nephew takes over and expands the family business.
Having only been my second Vietnamese eating establishment I do miss the Vietnamese sandwich from Pho 78 in pines but.... It can't compare to this place! Talked to the new owner (nephew of current owner) he told us in the next few months they will be expanding and updating the restaurant to appeal to a younger crowd but keeping the traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Â Two thumbs WAY up.
Review Source:So far so good. After Finding out that our favorite place was closed because everyone was on vacation we decided to use yelp to find unother pho place. One of them had a wrong address and led us to the trailer park and to a home BBQ cook out. So we took our chance on unother listing since we are dreaming of pho for few hours and walked in to pho bin.  Looks like a normal pho place. But why can't they ever clean these places!!!!  Well I tell you.  Chinese just don't believe in cleaning up the kitchens some weired old tradition as always. But if you take the amount of people you serve and being a public place , dirty doea not mean authentic !  Clean up  please. Food was delicious and cheap. That goes for most pho restaurants, who are in business today. It's hard to beat fish sauce, spice of fresh jalapeno ( whatever happened to thingly sliced jalapenos and, who brought back these giant apple like slices ?) and nice fatty pieces of beef tendon after a Russian vodka marathon. Â
Good luck
A typical, fairly good family-run Vietnamese restaurant -- which is actually better than it sounds, given the lack of same in the Broward area!
You won't think you died and went to heaven, but you will get a solid bowl of pho & all the fixings, for a fair price. Broth was dark and pretty flavorful, noodles the right level of doneness. I had brisket and tendon (I know, I'm weird) and have to say the chunks of tendon were some of the nicest I've had in the last couple years.
I'm looking forward to coming back often and working through the menu.
I went to this place on a whim because Saigon Cuisine was closed on Thursdays.
The ambience in here is awful LOL, but the food is really, really good. It's kind of like being at your new found Vietnamese families home, not a restaurant.
All the food is home cooked and they have a bubble tea machine which makes delicious bubble tea!!
I had Pho here that was just as good or better then the Pho at Saigon Cuisine. The Shrimp Spring rolls are delicious too.
The best part about this place besides the fact that the food is great...The price is so inexpensive.
I ordered the same meal I had at Saigon Cuisine and it was half the price.
I recommend!
It's been awhile since I have eaten Vietnamese and all this recent talk about Pho made me crave a bowl. I'd be lying if I told anyone I was a Vietnamese food connoisseur so when Tim F. recommended this place I happily agreed to meet him for lunch.
We ordered the pork and vegetable spring rolls to go with our Pho. I had the Chicken Pho which was pretty damn good. I like to have my Pho spicy so alittle of this (sriricha) alittle of that (chili sauce) and my Pho was transformed into fiery bowl of kick azz goodness. There is something about the fresh herbs/bean sprouts/jalapeno slices you place in your Pho that makes this food unique. Not to mention the sliced chicken breast, noodles, green onions, and earthy broth. Good stuff folks. The spring roll was ok. Not a big fan of the "not fried" looking egg rolls, but I wanted to try something different. I could taste how this type of spring roll could grow on you if you ate it on a continuous basis.
Overall the food was pretty good. The only reason why I didn't give this place 4 stars was the ambiance. It just looked tired. Plus, if Tim wasn't there I'm not sure the waiter could have answered my questions about certain items on the menu. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
Side note: I give Tim F. 6 Stars because he was very helpful with some of the questions I had about this type of cuisine. He knows his $hit. It was great to place a "real life" personality to a name on a blog. Great ambassador for Yelp and a swell guy:)
Love this place. Â Met Dan I.C. for some Pho. Â We ordered the pork and vegetable spring rolls to go with our Pho bowls. Â Good stuff.
Pho Bo (Pho with flank and beefballs) was really good. If you order the  beef balls make sure to dip them in a Hoison/Sriracha mixed sauce.....very tasty! Unfortunately, no Thai Basil came with the Pho, since the cold weather prevented Pho Binh from getting it from their suppliers.  However, broth is still tasty as ever. Â
As intimated in my previous review, it may not be the fanciest place, but I highly recommend coming here.
Being the self-proclaimed pho eating veteran that I so lovingly call myself, I've taken it upon myself to try every Vietnamese restaurant within 100 miles - which brings the total to about seven.
Believe me when I say this place has the WORST pho I have ever tasted - ever, anywhere, anytime. Â By all appearances, this place looks like a diamond in the rough. Â The decor is actually modern to an extent and frequented by local young Vietnamese giving the impression that they must know what they're doing - right? Â Wrong.
All of the food was oily beyond comprehension and excessively sweet. Â I don't know how to explain it; I've never had ordinary beef pho that was sweet. Â Eew!
Please take an extra two minutes to drive farther north to Pho Hoa if you want something decent for human consumption.
I am surprised at four of the reviews for this restaurant. I can't imagine how anyone would think this place has top quality food or that the food is flavorful.
The service is friendly, but it doesn't even come close to making up for the filth of the place nor the greasiness of the food (and furniture). Too gross to even have a sense of humor about it.
Pho Hoa down the street has the same menu, serves fresh vegetables (including the unforgetable jalapeños), in an atmosphere that is far from elegant, but definitely clean.
I decided to try Pho Binh based on the other reviews - it had a solid 4 stars. Â I went with my partner and a couple of friends.
Two of us had the pork spring rolls. Â The flavor was pretty good, but there was some sort of odd grittiness to it. Â We couldn't figure out what it was. Â The other two of us ordered imperial rolls. Â They arrived in a fog of noxious stench. Â We went ahead and tasted them...ewwwww.....fried in rancid oil. Â A couple of bites were all we could muster....we set them aside. Â The plate of bean sprouts, jalapenos and cilantro was brought out. Â The cilantro was wilted with black spots all over it. Â We asked for fresh cilantro...what came out was not much better.
Two ordered pho, and two ordered noodle dishes. Â The ones having the pho reported that it was mediocre at best. Â After the nasty imperial rolls, I just didn't have the stomach to try the pho. Â At least the noodle dishes were not bad...they just did not have any flavor at all. Â Mine came with imperial rolls on top, which I promptly removed so as to not contaminate the rest of the dish. Â But in the end, I couldn't finish my dish...which any of my friends will tell you, I always finish my meal.
I can't wait for Pho Binh to become a distant memory.
I lived in SF for a long time...the pho there was unreal. Â I found this place on Yelp and i went there to get some pho. Â Definitely the best pho in SoFlorida. Â There are other places, but the other pho is chain, and it was in SF too. Â This place was totally authentic. Â Gave you the Thai basil, bean sprouts, and you can't forget jalapenos and siracha! Â Lots of choices on the menu!
Review Source:My Singaporean wife gets the occasional craving for beef noddle soup (pho bo).
This place is so far the best we've found here in Broward. Top quality food at very reasonable prices.
The place makes me feel like I'm back in Asia. Small simple tables in an undecorated space, even complete with the TV running some Asian soap opera. The focus is definitely on the food and that's just how a place like this should be.
3.75 Stars
Most of the menu is snagged from the menu at Pho Hoa; in fact, the front of the house is run by the owner plus one waiter that used to work at Pho Hoa. Â However, there are additions of duck on the menu, to include a duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup.
The place only seats 45, but the atmosphere is truly Vinatown (Houston) authentic. Â It reminds me of a mix of that and going to one of my Vietnamese relatives' homes in Houston: Â there's a TV on with a football game on -- any game, it doesn't matter -- there are old timers in the kitchen who come out to watch on breaks and eat their own pho (good sign). Â There are old Vietnamese men chatting and smoking away in the small chairs placed out front on the sidewalk on weekdays during lunch. Â
Lunchtime on weekdays is packed. Â The clientele is a mix of Vietnamese and tons of Caucasians who work in the area. Â On weekends, it is much more relaxed and Asian only.
The owner is eager to please and is always running around, working his tail off. Â You can tell he wants you to enjoy the food so that you tell your friends and come back with them. Â The soup broth is lighter, less salty/savory, and more homemade tasting than Pho Hoa. Â Pho Binh also has no MSG after-effects (that is, the sleep inducing ones), so I am guessing that they use little to none of it.
