This place always serves me right when in cape cod. It always seems to be the place to go to when in doubt. There is a cool huge deck that overlooks the shore and skyline. They do play the same songs over and over if you go there more than once that week. Its poppin when the T-Dance lets out. thats the best time to go if you are cruising for a guy or a girl : ]
The place to go for "After Tea" dance.
A fun place, hot fresh dance music, right on the beach, with a good sized deck. Hot guys to check out AND NO COVER !!
Yeah, but liquor drink prices are kinda high. Stick with the beer and you'll do fine.
FYI- It's usually a "woman's bar" if you know what I mean, but everyone comes in at 7:00 for after tea dance.
First time here was during Women's Week last summer for the "White Party" and it was a pretty fun time.
I'm not used to the bars closing at 1am since I'm from NY and they basically stop sevrving liquor when the sun rises; so it was odd being out around 9/10pm. Â Nonetheless we walked in while it was still a bit dead but we had time to chill and grab some drinks.
By 11:30 the bar was PACKED and the heat rose a good 15 degrees in this joint. I went from makeup-ed beauty with long hair flowing, to bronzer erased and hair up b/c it was balls to the walls hot. Â Drinks are pretty pricey too but come w decent liquor in them at least. Â Bar staff is friendly and getting drinks doesnt take long either.
DJ was great and loved the fact that the dancefloor was jammed full of people all havng fun! Â Ladies were hot and tunes were poppin. Â Cannot wait to come again for Women's Week this year!
(PS...packing a flask shhhhh)
Pied is A-OK. Â Pricey, but A-OK. Â
The real draw of Pied is the outdoor seating: Â it's nice, and right on the water. Â If you want to rest for awhile in Provincetown, it's a nice break from walking up and down the street. Â
The only downside are the beer prices, which are high. Â That's more a reflection of the area than anything else, but considering the beer isn't as high quality as, say, the Northeast Beer Garden, it's a little more problematic.
Oh Pied bar, thank you so much. Â You were the perfect stop on a day trip in P-Town. Â Your deck had an amazing cross breeze which gave me chills on a 90+ degree day. Â Your bartenders were friendly, and gladly helped us out with adult beverages and water. Â
I don't care that I paid 3 bucks for a coke that I finished in like 3 gulps, or that your mixed drinks would run me close to 10 bucks. Â For the breath taking view and to rest my feet you won my heart. Â Besides you have to expect to spend some cash in a destination town.
You also have a pool table and its the happening spot for after the tea dance, so you, get there early to rest and just wait for the party to come to you.
Locals reffered us to Bubala for lunch with the pooches along Commercial St, unfortunately it looked completely full on the patio and I don't trust our 7 mos wind up dog being tied to a gate to keep his mouf shushed.
We decided against waiting, and took the pups to PiedBar on the waterfront. Perfect for what we wanted, a quiet deck in the sun to enjoy frozen drinks and leash the dogs. Drinks were small and overpriced, but tasty and the bartender was sweet enough to pat the pups and bring them water and periodically check in with us. No food served here, but you can walk down the street and pick up pizza, burritos, whatevs and bring it back with you. Pretty quiet spot for during the day, presumably because it's tucked back behind the street....unless you have a Bridezilla in a tiara with her gaggle of lei wearing moron friends that decide to plunk their terrycloth tube dress asses down next to you and scream...it's a scenic quiet place to hide.
This is a great bar to go to in the afternoon and enjoy a cold drink with friends while taking in a great view. Â The back deck is large and provides great views from every table.
The drinks were really good and the service even better.
Best part-- I was allowed to bring my dog on the deck! Â Go here in the afternoon to sit back and relax.
A few years ago I watched the fireworks from the deck on a particularly rainy mid-week 4th of July. Â The other spectators were a pretty healthy mix of gays. Â After the display ended, we all went inside to dance. Â It wasn't super packed, but it was a fun atmosphere and the drinks were pretty liberally mixed.

Review Source:A few of my friends and I went to P Town during this past Memorial Day weekend, We went to Pied three times that weekend. The first and the third times there weren't that many people when we got there, but the T Dance was going on at the Boatslip. Once the t dance was over apparently loads of people come over to the Pied because one of the barmaids came over and told us we had to leave our table because they needed it for them. Um, sure. We left and came back a little after 9, holy crap it was packed!! One of the guys (yes a male!) we were with remarked he felt like he was trapped in a sardine can, that pretty much sumed it up. The drinks were a bit on the pricy side unless you want beer, the beers were 4-5 dollars, but mixed drinks were like $12. The place has a main dancefloor that you really can't move on, and a patio that has an amazing view of the moon bouncing off the ocean at night.
