I went to Pita Plus for lunch with my coworkers. Â Although, at first glance I wasn't convinced, the food was delicious. Â Why 4 start and not 5? Â The decor.
1- when entering the restaurant, you feel like it was built in the 1990's and has not been updated since. Â On my own, I definitely would not venture here. Â It looked sketchy.
2- The menu is not very user friendly or explanatory. Â I wasn't sure what I was getting. Can someone please tell me what's a young chicken? Â Do I want to know what's a young chicken? Â I took a wild guess and ordered the chicken pita.
3- the food was delicious. Â My chicken was freshly made and the taste was incredible.
All and all it isn't a bad lunch place. Â I would definitely venture there again for lunch
I ate at this place for the first time today, and I am in love. I orderered a shawarma with extra tzatziki sauce accompanied by a can of strawberry banana nectar originally from Israel (it had Hebrew writing on it and the brand is called Spring). The person I went with knows the owner personally and the owner hooked it up with two free falafels (whoo!). It is a little on the expensive side but I think it is so worth it! A lot of Orthodox Jews frequent the place and on the door there are signs saying this place has been found to be an authentic server of kosher food. I will definitely be returning any time I am in the area.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mediterranean/Jewish food or someone who is being introduced to it for the first time. Besides lamb they offer chicken and tilapia, and they have kabobs too.
