PJ's is legit. The Haddon Field location is my favorite for food. They always have some kind of beer on special. The Cherry Hill location can get rowdy at night time and turns in to a club/bar scene. PJ's is cool bar chain with good bar food. Recommend the burgers, famous fries, and cheese steak nachos.

Decent food, fast service. Menu has improved over the years.

My husband and I had lunch here today.  It was horrible!  Our waitress was super slow to take our drink and then food order.  The food took FOREVER to get to our table, the restaurant was not full so it was not like the kitchen was slammed.  Not only did the food take forever it was a Herculean effort to track down our waitress for refills.  The food was okay, but we felt way over priced for bar food.  With so many better options on Haddon Ave.  we will not be stopping here again.

We usually venture over to PJ's on Tuesdays for wing night.  The prices are reasonable, the wings are good - great variety of flavors (hot & honey are our go-to) and there are always plenty of beer specials.I can't vouch for the rest of the food because we really only get wings, but it's a good spot to get our weekly wing fix.

We stopped in with a mixed family of seven on a whim because we hadn't eaten all day and were quickly seated. Our server was relatively attentive, if distracted, and our food came relatively quickly. I think the food is about what we expected; ho-hum bar food that will solve your hunger but you probably won't finish.

Given the numerous wads of gum stuck to the lower portion of the wall three feet from our table, I'm guessing PJ's is much better suited an after dark drinking establishment than mid-day meals. That or drowning your sorrows while watching one of the many disappointing Philly sports teams.

I went for my first time on St. Patricks day, so it was really crazy, and had some expected longer waits for thigns like food etc. Despite all the craziness, our waitress made sure to chekc up on us, refill waters etc. The food was also AMAZING. I ordered the crab cake sandwhich and I was so suprised to find that it was almost all crab, you couldn't even tell if there was any filler in there at all! I have paid more for less crab at many other places. I also tried the wings, and while their signature sauce was tasty, I wish it was hotter. My boyfriend got the pretzle bites and they were yummy and a buffalo chicken sandwhich. Overall, I would go back to this place over and over again.

Live music was generic and too loud.

They don't have tables for more than six people. The waitress was very accommodating though. She didn't come to check on us often enough though - I never got a refill of my drink.

The food was pretty average. Was not really a fan of the atmosphere.

Awesome beer selection, fell in love with the hot and honey wings and Goose Island Christmas beer here.  I really don't eat anything else aside from the wings when I come here because the hot and honey wings are at the top of my list for best wings I've had in life, I know a lot of ppl might disagree because everyone has always had something better, that's just some ppls nature to try to one up a person by saying "oh no, those wings suck, whats really good is......".  The wings are good, point blank.  The atmosphere is cool, nice place, clean, festive when the time presents itself, I will always go to P.J.'s when I am in town.

Very good. Tasty bar food.  Prices maybe a tad too high but it won't break the bank. The rear section of the facility is loud and it's very hard to speak with someone your seated with.  the front is just what you would expect from a pub.

Went here for the dinner on a Friday night. The place was packed, but we only waited about 20 minutes for a table. One thing to note - if you want a booth, that's a separate waiting list you have to ask for - we didn't realize that until it was too late. Also, the parking lot isn't great, but we got lucky and found the last space.

I enjoyed the selection of beers on tap and appreciated that my table included a sheet listing all the beers and the alcohol content, the amount of beer per serving, and the different flavors in the beer. It was very helpful and steered me to what I wanted.

The food we had was typical bar food - burgers, but they were good. I also had sweet potato fries, which were great. We started with the loaded tater tots (basically like potato skins, but with tater tots) - they were definitely good.

Our service was decent, though our waitress disappeared after we'd finished eating and it took us a while to get the check. However, we felt that was probably because the place was packed. She was generally attentive and the food arrived in a decent amount of time.

Overall, a good night and we'll go back for the beer selection.

This place was great 10 years ago. Now it is basically fast food from a Sysco truck.
Service is always good. The food is awful.
With all the competition on Haddon Ave you would think they would try harder.

With so many similar dining/drinking choices in the area, I'll pass this by just because the parking here is so ridiculous.

I guess they have a good deal on wings on certain nights.  I usually end up here with others who come for wing nights.  I've tried their buffalo shrimp, nothing special.  It can easily be made at home with some Frank's hot sauce.  The fish tacos were bleh.  It's very americanized and disappointing.  They have seasoned fries a'la chickie's and pete's.  The beer selection is minimal compared to pour house down the street.  The bathrooms are disgusting.  Sorry i'm just not a fan of this establishment.  Go down the street to pour house instead.

Decent bar food.  They serve all the typical regional fare like the cheesesteak. This location is ok; my favorite one is located in Moorestown. The wings are ok, but never seem to be cooked well enough for me, even when I request to have them cooked longer.

Solid sports bar with a great beer selection and above-average pub food. Gets crowded during any type of Philly sports game, but never overly so. I can see why--tons of TVs and ample seating.

The Chicagoan in me was ecstatic to see that they had Goose Island Sofie on tap. Shut the front door! (well, I suppose now that InBev/AB owns Goose Island, the distribution has gone nationwide, but it made me a happy camper). The wings are tasty, and I've had several salads and sandwiches that rank "better than normal" compared to other sports bars.

Ask for the specials--they always have some type of cheap bottle.

We've been to a couple of the PJ's restaurants and like this one the best (although admittedly the parking could be much improved). I think their fish tacos are probably the best I've eaten in this area (and please tell me where you go if you disagree). Old bay crinkle fries or sweet potato fries are good choices too. I've never had their wings, although you can get them made at least 5 different ways. Ask for the beer cheat sheet to show you what craft beer is available.

Not bad but certainly not great. Their wings seem to get a lot of hype which I really don't understand, and they are certainly not cheap. However, if you must try them, come on a Tuesday night when they are half price. Burgers, sandwiches, and fries are good. Tap selection is decent. Service is usually pretty average. I favor this location over the Cherry Hill location. If you are looking for great, cheap food, I recommend driving to Brewer's, which is right down the street, but if you are looking for a more upbeat atmosphere then maybe P.J.'s is your kinda place.

Average at best.  I guess when you live in suburban New Jersey and don't have much selection you might want to give this place 4 stars but don't be fooled - it's not worth it.  The waitress brought the wrong beer then told me she brough the right one and brought me a sample to prove it - the sample was a different beer than the one in my glass, thanks.  I shared the sweet and spicy wings with some friends, they were just sweet - no spice!  And then the burger and fries.  The burger was a burger and the fries were undercooked.  I'm sure I'll go back here when visiting Haddonfield again - afterall, they did have a good beer selection to make up for the lack of good food.  But let's face it, this place truly defines why it's not about the bar but rather the company you're with.

Can I get an "O"?! Can I get an "A"? O is for overrated and A is for average. Jesus, why is this place packed?

In an effort to switch it up from the usual haunts, we found ourselves at PJ's and what a let down. It's not that it is bad or awful, but I was pretty sure I would probably not go there again after leaving.

First off, the "infamous crab cake". Ok, so the crab cake sandwich is their "best seller" so I got the thing and meh. Crab cake was good actually but when you put a warm crab cake on a cold ass roll, well, you killed the potential before it even got to the table. Toast the bread and the dynamic of the sandwich would have changed entirely but they were busy and the chef was clearly lazy... or, maybe people like it that way? Fries with clumps of old bay on em? Toss them people! If this is their "best" then I can only imagine what the other dishes look like. bleh.

So yeah, they got a decent booze selection and play games on the TV. WOO! (- note the sarcasm there). I went for food, don't care much for sports and the food was effin let down. Service? Again, average at best.

I guess I am kinda hating on this place a tap... but can you blame me? My husband went to another location once and was dogged by a waitress cause he was wearing a baseball cap for a non-local team. Look, not everyone schlobs the Phillies knob ok? But ignoring someone for it isn't good customer service, especially when their wife loves to dish a good tongue lashing on yelp. Just sayin'.

Great local bar, can always count on a good meal at a fair price and good beers.  Favorite menu items: crab cake salad, crab cake sandwich, Mediterranean sandwich,  sweet potato fries are perfect too.  Food is always hot and waitresses are always friendly and attentive.

Parking lot is usually filled but there is street parking.

This is one of the better PJ's and I am grateful that it is the closest one to my house. I can rely on PJ's for a tasty meal, decent beer, and good service. Their menu as a whole is pretty good but they did drop a few of my favorites, such as the portabella sandwich. I have recently been opting for the Mediterranean salad sans chicken, and it is quite good. I do wish the beers they carried were more adventurous, but I guess it is considered a sports bar and they leave the adventurous beers to The Pour House. I wish I could combine the PJ's menu with Pour House beer.

Although I'm not a sports bar regular, I have found PJ's to be agreeable to watching a soccer match. I prefer to sit in the front area but the back is preferable if I'm with a group.

The parking can get a little hairy, but that's most places on Haddon Ave.

We visited this PJ's for my birthday and we had a pretty good time.  The food is your typical PJ's menu and the drink choices were plentiful and relatively inexpensive.  The wait staff was fine and the food was exactly what I have come to expect.

My issue is that I have been to several of the PJ's restaurants and this one is not at the top of the list.  Because the dining area is narrow and long, it feels overly crowded even when it is not, and the parking area is to small.

Yay half price wing night and happy hour beers. Boo bitch waitress and sour guacamole.

My family tends to hit up half price wing night every few months. I LOVE the wings there, they are delish. However, it always seems like we get a bitchy waitress. We ordered 60 wings, a gin and tonic, 3 beers, chips and salsa, and a side of guacamole.

Everything was fine but the guacamole was sour and a strange soupy texture, so I told her it was bad. She brought over another one and said "this came right out of the walk in so I KNOW it's good." It had the same sour taste and soupy texture, so I told her again. She said "Well maybe you just don't like our guacamole then because I had someone else taste it and they said it was fine..." I feel like it's my own fault for ordering guacamole at a bar but whatever... no need to be such an ass. She also took our order for 30 more wings and left the empty and bone filled wing baskets / beer glasses on the table. Came back to check on us and still didn't take them. I finally asked the server who brought out the new order of wings to take them to which she said "Omg, of course!!"

So I guess some of the waitstaff is nice... oh and I got a free Amstel Light glass because I ordered an Amstel Light.

This place was my savior at 8pm on a Sunday night.  I had stopped at 2 restaurants prior to this and each one had closed there kitchen.  Who closes a kitchen at 8pm?  This makes no sense to me...at least this place was open and cooking until 11pm.

I had the french onion soup and also ordered the Hot Buffalo Chicken Salad.  It was really good.  In fact, I had it two days in a row.

This place has some amazing beer specials too.  Sunday had $2.75 Linny's on Tap...I can not even find it that cheap in Wisconsin and they brew it there. Monday had two dollar off craft beers...they also had a nice selection of craft brews too...I liked a beer called Exit 11.  Tuesday had 3 dollar beer bottles but I had to go back to the craft brews...the bar has a nice list behind the counter that has price, ounces and alcohol content.  Wednesday was 2 dollar Dos Equis...I wish I was there right now but I need to go to bed and get ready for my flight home.

The bartender (I think her name was Rose) was really good.  She remembered me...which is always a postive when it comes to customer service.  She also tried to talk to every patron and knew many of them by there first names...you really do not see that in a bartender!

Two nice big bars, plenty of tables and enough big screens to watch the game...it was fun to watch Philly fans root for there team!!!

This is a fun place for you and the guys. Even if you have a cool chick that wouldn't mind sports and beer. The food is straight to the point. basic (PJ's style)  burger and fries are always the best there. I like this place becuase it your naborhood sports bar. There are very good looking girls working there so and they are friendly. There is always a table no matter the time.

Only thing I don't care for is when i see a kids having dinner with there parents. Why would you bring your kids to a Pub??? I just don't get that. Its not like they have a big kids menu (I think they do have something for the kids) but again why would you chose this place for family dinner night. SMH....

All and all this is a good place to kick it.

P.J. Whelihan's is often loud and busy, and the televisions are distracting. The tall bench backs isolate one table of diners from the next so that any potential interactions become cumbersome. In other words, it is a godsend.

When you have two very young children, dining out with them is not the most pleasurable experience in the world. They don't want to sit down for prolonged periods. The two-year old will likely throw a fit and suggest she doesn't want the food being served to her, even if she ordered it herself 15 minutes earlier. The baby will cry and throw things on the floor.

In most instances, it's a nightmare. Diners at quieter establishments stare at you. Sometimes, they get hit wit the things your kids throw  -- one time, my daughter nailed an elderly lady in the head with her cup at XIX. In the worst cases, you just want to throw some money on the table and run back to the privacy of your own home.

At P.J. Whelihan's, all of the ambient noise and peripheral happenings serve as a screen, allowing you to dine in peace and relative anonymity. It doesn't matter that your kid is tossing french fries in the air because the table of guys next to you is too consumed by the staff's cleavage or the game on TV to care.

As far as chain sports bars/pubs go, this one is okay. Its the closest place to Haddonfield serving alcohol so it's in a convenient location. It always has a good sized crowd and it's nice and spacious so there's always seating available. The food is not bad, and since they've expanded their menu, I don't feel as pressured to get something I might not like. And I like that.

My only qualm about PJ's last night was the service. The bronzed, busty waitresses in the tight black yoga pants could probably use some more "how to be friendly" classes. I mean, she did her job, got our drinks and food out in an appropriate amount of time, but she didn't make eye contact and not once did she even smile. It was like strictly business for her. Get our orders, get us fed, and get us out of there.

Of course, I'll patron PJ's again, because I know not all waitresses are created equally, and maybe she was just having a bad day. For decent food and reasonable prices, it's worth it.

A great place to catch a game, have a delicious sandwich (try the pulled pork or the chicken cutlet), and enjoy selections from their fairly extensive beer list.  For a place this popular, they also have daily beer specials which can lessen the hit on your wallet after a night out.

Cons: It can be too loud for any type of conversation, and if you are from South Jersey, count on seeing someone you know.

Went with a friend to PJs for a burger and some beer. The waitstaff was friendly, and the food was your standard pub fare. The place pretty quickly shifts from a dinner atmosphere into a bar, which makes it a bit awkward if you're trying to finish your food.

Moved from the table up to the bar, and the bartenders were attentive and the drinks were fairly reasonably priced. It got pretty crowded, and the bathrooms are small, but it wasn't a bad night out.

Been meaning to check out a P.J. Whelihan's for a while now...  I finally got to go last week.  I ordered the hot and honey wings along with a shock top special (2.50 on friday nights).  The wings came out pretty quickly and were great.  The service could have been a little bit better, as we were seated 5 minutes before this other party next to us, and they were attended to as soon as they sat down, and we still waited 5 more minutes after.

I would definitely come back here if I was with friends and going to watch the game.

Maybe I've been to PJs too many times, but lately it does not feel the same. It feels like a chain (which it actually is now) though it used to be more of a local bar/tavern setting.
Still, it's not a bad place... with limited but good menu and an average selection of beer...

I only go to PJ's on Tuesdays for half off wings. the place gets crowded, but its me and my friends weekly/monthly routine so one of us gets there early and waits for a table at the bar. their drink specials are pretty good these days... $2-3 bottle imports!!

Its a great place just to hang out and BS after a bad work day. we don't really order anything but beer, wings, fries...so i can't really review their menu. but the atmosphere, servers, bartenders are pretty good. and when they have bar trivia, thats always fun...but can take a long time to finish...we played a few times, only to leave before the final rounds.

the crowd is on the high school side from 6-9pm...but i don't go there for the crowd. parking may be an issue once it gets busy.

    i like PJ's for 3 reasons:
    1. good wings at a good price!
    2. very good salads!
    3. i once left my credit card there, and they got it back to me safe & sound!
pj's is a fun spot for meeting up with friends, watching a game, or just for lunch & dinner.

This place reminded me of those old jokes where you say, "What do you get when you cross X with Y?"

This PJ Whelihans looks like they fused a sports bar to a Bennigans. Not that its bad, just that its a little different. I went here with a buddy last Friday night and ate at the family side of the restaurant. The place was pretty packed, so we were lucky to get a seat. I had their signature burger and a side of spicy fries. The fries were pretty good and spicy/flavorful, though not overly so. The burger itself wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out as one of the all time best burgers. Also, I was a little annoyed that I didn't get lettuce and tomato.

I ended up having the Reese's ice creah dessert. It was pretty rich and tasty.

They had a wheat beer(Shock Top?) there that was pretty decent, and it was only 2.75 a glass. Not too shabby. I also noticed they also had some other good beer specials. I can see coming back for those on a night when there's a game I want to watch(Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, Illini....).

The food wasn't bad and the prices were reasonable. I might try something else and see how that is and bump them up a notch.

one of the worst "prime rib(if you can call it that)" sandwiches ive ever had, and an obnoxiously slow and dumb wait staff. that speaks for the haddon twp location, not all of them.

PJ's is a great place to relax after a hard day of work.  It's also a great place to watch sports, with tons of great tvs, and actual tables to watch them at.

They have a great beer selection, including lots of drafts and daily specials.   They also have a decent craft beer selection.  Not Eulogy in Philly good, but this is South Jersey, this is as good as we get.

Food is good, but not consistently.  Their wings are great, as are their burgers.  Spicy fries are addictive.  Some of their food, such as the cheesesteak do nothing for me.

On the whole, PJ's is a great find, which we frequent often.

The between the wings and the TV's hands down the best place to watch football and the NCAA tourny.  Throw in the the fact that everyone from locals who never left, and used to be locals just coming back to visit and the place puts on a good atmosphere.

    OMG TOWNIES!!!  SRSLY

BUT they have really good burgers and fries.  Can't speak to the wings that are supposedly world class because even the mild ones were so spicy that the smell of which made my eyes water.

I had a really good time, even if it did involve going to South friggin Jersey, but it probably was the company (all together now awwww)   The things we do for our s.o. eh?

Considering the fact that I have been a loyal patron of various South Jersey PJ's locations for years, I'm surprised it hasn't dawned on me to review until now.

Anywho, this location is actually located in Westmont (because Haddonfield is a dry town and Westmont isn't), but since their website says Haddonfield, we'll go with that.

Basically, this is a neighborhood place where there is a different beer special every night of the week, and a decent selection of beer at that.  The food is always consistent and really good.  They have everything from basic bar fare to full dinners like grilled ahi tuna with rice and veggies.

One thing that everyone should be aware of is the fact that you WILL run into at least one person you know, usually someone from grade school, high school or someone you dated.  It really doesn't matter if the location you choose is five towns from where you grew up, it will happen.  Don't say I didn't warn you.
