Ordered for office Holiday parties and everyone was impressed how wonderful, fresh and delicious everything was. They are Amazing... Accommodating.... Great folks to work with.
Solid deli. Friendly staff, good prices, quick service. They're cash only but there's an ATM inside. No seating at all.
Very much a neighborhood kind of place. I stop by here several days a week for breakfast, see the same faces almost every day. If you're in the area, give Pop's a shot.
I work nearby so I find myself at Pop's for lunch quite a bit. Â The steak and cheese wedges are quite good -- and that's coming from someone who spent some years living in Pennsylvania. Â Service is a bit on the slow side, particularly during the lunch rush. Â But it's a good solid deli that I can easily recommend.
Review Source:When you enter the Taconic Parkway you lose all sense of civilization.
Only minutes outside the city all you can see are trees, raising the all important question "where can I get a sandwich around here?"
Accidentally found Pop's deli by selecting a random exit and following the power lines to Hawthorne. Typical NY deli selection of foods. My sandwich was a well-built winner.
A long line of hungry people quickly formed, but service was fast and accurate.
NOTE: I originally posted this a while back because I didn't see this listing on here and made a new one, so this is moved from there. Here's my review from 1/22/10:
It's a standard deli, but for some reason, they constantly short change you. If you go here, MAKE SURE THEY GIVE YOU THE RIGHT AMOUNT BACK!!! I didn't say "keep the $0.50, it's your tip". The employees seem more concerned about yapping like a bunch of fatheads than getting your sandwich and change right. There are many other delis in the area to give your business to.
