Got there just before the pub runners arrived on a Wednesday night. Solid beer selection, good service, good atmosphere, nice size patio. Like the other reviewers, I have to say this place seems like a great neighborhood bar. Next time, I'll be sure to try some food so I can give a more complete review (and, you know, not drink on an empty stomach again).
Review Source:Ahh, a nice bike ride around Wash Park on a Sunday.
The sun is shining.
The birds are singing.
The geese, well, are pooping.
But, is there any outdoor park in Denver that can create a smile like Wash Park on a sunny day?
If so, I have to go there.
After a few laps at the leisurely pace of 14.9 mph. (Speed limit is 15 you know)
What now?
Food?
Beer?
Mimosas?
"Hey, let's go to the Pub on Pearl."
"Wow! Never been there."
$2.00 breakfast burritos all day...and huge and good and, did I say huge and only $2.00?
$2.00 Pint sized, strong mimosas on Sunday.
What? and they have Hoegaarden by the Pint.
Just park my butt here on the patio...the sun...Denver...Sweet!
I will go back...and yes, I'll start at Wash Park...and it will visually make me smile.
This place is a great example of a "neighborhood bar". They're located only a few blocks from Wash Park and are a staple for those in the area. They have a great special ($5 AYCE) for wings on Thursday evenings. The staff has been fairly friendly in the numerous times I've been.
My biggest complaint is just that the size of the bar itself isn't that big. It is frequently crowded beyond the point of being able to grab a table or spot at the bar. Perhaps, that's just a sign that people like it that much?
Anyways, there's not a lot to draw you here unless you live close by. And fortunately for them, there's not a ton they have to compete with in the area.
