I found myself in the area for an extended period of time helping an acquaintance. Scrounging for something to eat -- because they didn't have anything in the house - I came upon this place as one of the few in the area.
I was really craving a salad, and after Hienie's Chicken (now known as "Shrimp") hung up (yes, hung up!) on my friend's teenager when he called to ask if they had a salad -- I was relieved to find that Pucci's did indeed serve salad. That is, until the meal arrived.
The "side salad" was served in the tiniest cup I've ever seen for a salad. It was the kind of cup that would be used for coleslaw. Never a regular salad! I have to wonder what it would look like if you ordered it in the restaurant. I don't know if they were out of the utensils used for side salads -- but it is hard to believe that they would serve a salad that size in the restaurant.
Needless to say, I was disappointed. The chicken we ordered was pan fried in olive oil and delicious. But they should be ashamed of themselves on that "side salad." Really!!
We always get take out from here at my school because it is one of the few places nearby. The Cheeseburger is always my favorite. Its large, good and shockingly cheap. You do have to order fries separate.
Don't travel down here to eat it, but if you're in the neighborhood for some reason, its a good cheap, quick bite.
