This place is simple, no frills and delivers. An excellent selection of local craft beer is accompanied by a pretty standard menu of pizzas and toppings. The pizza is done pretty well for the Pacific NW (I'm from NY/NJ) and you can make your own for a good price. They have personal sizes and big ones too. The interior decor is a bit stark and old but that's just the kind of place this is. The #1 thing they could do to improve is sell pizza by the slice!!

Although I am all for supporting small local businesses,  PSP's horrible customer service and mediocre pizza leaves much to be desired.

Went in there with two of my friends after a night out when they were about 25 minutes from closing their kitchen so figured this would be a safe bet for some late night pizza. Went in and the door guy told us to wait by the counter to order, and we did for 15 minutes.

Ignored by the chef, we went over to the bar, and tried placing an order with the bartender.  He claimed that it was too late for orders to be place, yet we had literally just seen him place an order while we were waiting in the other room for the chef. We tried explaining that we had been waiting for over 15 minutes at the other counter but his response was; "Good go someplace else, and don't come back!"

I really cannot even begin how unnecessarily rude this bartender was. Door guy heard and apologized, but there really is no excuse to yelling at sober customers.

We ended up walking down the street to Dominoes and ordered and EXCELLENT fiery hawaiian pizza for $12!!!!! and tipped the super friendly night crew an extra $10.
Some basic customer service goes along way, thanks to this bartender's advice my friends and I will gladly go to anywhere but here.

A message left for management the next day also yielded not response, clearly this establishment just doesn't care..

Nice service. Good beer: Imperial IPA.  The pizzas and sandwiches are excellent. It's nice and quiet downstairs and air-conditioned.

A cute hole-in-the-wall type joint. They have some amazing pizza options as well as a make your own option. Sandwiches, hot wings, pasta, "rabbit food" (healthier?) options as well as some vegetarian options. Yummy! Full bar and many beer options, tap and bottled.

PSP used to be a good pizzeria, not sure what happened, but upon our return to Tacoma from Brooklyn, the place went downhill.  Rude staff, not interested in doing their job and the pizza is horrible.  Never understood why a person would work at a pizza joint if they think they are too cool for school.

I took a big group of friends on a Saturday night and the party was great!  They seated us all together, served delicious pizza and drinks (dark 'n stormy nom nom).

The only criticism I have is regarding the karaoke.  It's kind of awkward--maybe because it was the beginning (9-10:30ish)?  The host sang 4 songs from his seat in the booth...c'mon buddy, if you're gonna take a slot in the line up, at least get on stage and work it like the rest of us!  Also, it's not easy to see the lyrics from the stage, so if you don't know the song by heart, you might be craning your head a little bit rather than bopping it.

Ok ... let me start out w/ everyone I know really built this place up, really set the bar high for me and my expectations, however they fell a tad short.

I came for a friends birthday celebration around 5-6 our server was great came back and fourth to refill drinks and check on our table etc etc. So as far as customer service a ok.

Now the pizza. I swear I could've ordered this pizza from papa Murphy's and made it at home or better yet ordered domino's. I did not think this pizza was award winning restaurant quality pizza. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't better than what I could have done myself, which is typically what I look for when I eat out.

Atmosphere fun hipster which is my favorite, karaoke was awesome that night too.

Bottom line - this place makes a good hang out on the weekend awesome atmosphere satisfactory pizza.

First, I dont like it when I have to ask for the table to be wiped when its clearly got crap all over it. C'mon!

I was looking forward to a thin crust - this is a thin crust, but wow, I have never had chewy thin crust before. If it could have been a bit crisper (at least in the middle) it would have been tremendously better.

You don't have salami? C'mon! how does a serious pizza joint not have salami?

The sauce was good, flavorful and plenty of it!

A nice little bonus, little bits of extra burnt cheese on the out skirts of the crust - pretty good.

All in all, not a bad pie and I am pretty picky when it comes to pizza. This is probably a 4 star pizza for most. For me, crisp up that crust in the middle, add a little more cheese and toppings and it would be excellent.

Cool atmosphere, great pizza! The crust is great (made with a bit of garlic I think) and every pizza I have gotten there has been good. They are great for takeout too.

The bar area has a great vibe most nights, and they show Seahawks and Mariners games, too.

Only down side is that sometimes the service can be a bit lacking, but the food is so good it has never detered me.

By far the best pizza in Tacoma. The atmosphere is that of a crummy dive bar but the food more than makes up for it. The staff are also a hoot.

Went here the other day with the kids.  The restaurant part was very small.  It had a few tables and counter space to sit at.  Ordered the Alfredo with grilled chicken and a pepperoni pizza.  Took our order a while to come out only because there was a slight communication failure with the waitress and cook.  The cook made a pizza with Alfredo sauce and pepperoni.  When we got the Alfredo the presentation was great.  However it clearly was not cooked fresh.  Possibly microwaved.  The chicken was cold and so was the noodles.  The only part that was hot was the center of the plate.  It was still edible though.  Shortly after we finished the pasta the pizza came out.  The pizza was delicious.  Very fresh.  Highly recommend the pizza.   However I recommend you order it to go.  Only because the limited seating.  Also the staff was friendly and accommodating.

I really, really, really want to give this place a better review, but I just can't.  The food?  Amazing!  Playing The Walking Dead in the bar?  SWEET!  The service?  Horrendous.  I'm not quite sure what the servers think they're there for.  I've been there twice now and both times the service was just plain bad.

The first time I was there it was somewhat busy, and it took a really long time to get our food.  When our food was delivered the waitress kind of dumped it on the table and ran off without a work.  The mac and cheese (which is phenomenal when it is fresh and hot) had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time because it had started to separate.  We tried to flag out waitress down, but she was nowhere to be seen.

The second time I was in there it was during The Walking Dead.  I had a drink, but didn't order food (my friends did).  I finished my drink in the first 15 minutes, but the waitress never came around to ask about refills.  At the end of the show she came down to give us our checks and actually talked about how she stayed upstairs during the show so that the show wouldn't be spoiled for her.  Um, I'm sorry, but this is your job.  So not only was she very unhelpful, but she also seemed to think it was fine to chat with us about how her viewing experience was worth more than our experience.  I should also add that I originally asked for the lemonade, but she said that she was out, and she hadn't made more because it is a hassle...um, okay? That should have been my first warning.

This place needs to train its staff to be servers.  It's like they're there to hang out and not work.  Like I said I really want to say good things about this place, but as far as I'm concerned maybe I'll just get the food for take out.  This place isn't that big/crowded, they can do a much better job.  When the service is so bad that it overshadows the amazing food, there is a serious problem.

As you can see from my previous review, I liked this place when I last lived in Tacoma. They did deliver then. My kid usually has pizza on Fridays when we go shopping. Our usual place was too busy, so I figured I'd order something to be delivered shortly after we arrived home.

So, I call. It took a while for them to answer, but that's not unusual in a pizza place. No delivery and the girl acted like I was putting her out for asking for it. I say, well, okay then - I'll order for pick up, I need a cheese and a veggie and I'm told it'll be twenty minutes. Twenty-two minutes later, I arrive. The blonde woman leaned up against the bar looks remarkably bored - there's no one in here and she waits for me to talk to her before she looks up from the counter/her staring spot. I pick up the order and pay for it - two smalls for $26. I don't remember it being that expensive, either. Huh. As I carry them to the car, kid in tow, I notice that something smells wrong, so I pop the box open. Jalapenos. Now, clearly, it's been a little while since I ordered from here but I don't remember there being jalapenos on the veggie - nor zucchini, nor some strange herb mix sprinkled over the top. So I call and it takes her a while to answer - with no one in the place, still. I think she just doesn't like talking to customers. I say, "So, does your standard veggie come with jalapenos?" "Yep." "Okay, you are aware that's not a normal thing and that there are standard pizzas folks expect right?" "Well, ours does." "Okay, so what am I supposed to do with a veggie pizza I can't feed my kid?" *silence."

I get it, you're EDGY, BB. The thing is? Most places that change up the standards have the decency to rename them so that unsuspecting folks don't call and say they want say, a pepperoni and wind up with pineapple (some people like that, you know!,) or a cheese and get cream sauce. These are technically "correct" pizzas - but man, don't mess with the formula without renaming the thing.  Besides, jalapenos are fruit.

I call back to ask when the manager is in. "I dunno." Any guesses? "Maybe the morning."  The music is very loud in there - maybe he told her and she couldn't hear him. Maybe she couldn't hear me on the phone - seems strange to not know when management will be in.

Despite my asking for light sauce, this was loaded with heavy red sauce. To add insult to (spicy) injury? The very loaded with jalapenos pizza - too spicy for my preschooler even after picking off the jalapenos, I'm afraid? Had thoroughly undercooked dough and undercooked zucchini and featured a nice large chunk of chicken in the middle of the _one_ slice I ate. Reminder: veggie pizza.

I live three blocks from here - I'll see if Abella has gone downhill, too, I guess.

Great pizza. I get the Pesto Control.

There really aren't that many pizza places in Tacoma, good ones, that is. This is the only place I will eat pizza at now.

Granted I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, I get my pizza to go, so I cant actually speak to their service or atmosphere.

But their pizza is damn good.

PIZZA:  Delicious.  I like everything about it -- thick, cheesy, crusty.  Except the sauce and meat are too spicy.  The aftertaste is a dark time.

PEOPLE: Young, fun, karaoke, yay.  Karaoke is too loud though.  It's a very small room and sometimes, people need to hear the people they arrive with (not just Ice Ice Baby or Sweet Caroline).

ENVIRONMENT: Great for dinner and a few drinks - bartender is awesome.  *Looove the Elvis pictorial on the wall.*  However I do feel that if it was cleaned up a bit inside I'd go here more often.  The walls, floor, booths seem like they're all about 40 years old.  Not particularly clean.

    DELIVERY: No.  Why?

YUM.  Good pizza - staff is a little zoned out bit it was a hip(ster) sort of of place anyway.  Cute and cozy and the pizza was delicious.  will be visiting again soon. They also have a bar there as well with Karaoke.  Sorry this review is so short but there isn't too much more to say!

Pizza and brunch?  And karaoke?  Yes, PSP has it all.  Plus some hipsters, but that's okay, just let them fade into the American Spirit smoke.  The thin crust is vegan so just ask that it not be brushed with butter before baking.  The karaoke is facilitated by a lovely tall man with a John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt beard and he will let you touch it if you ask nicely.  Breakfast includes some really fantastic hash browns which you can get with peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and decent coffee.

Drink up but know that there is only one single stall bathroom that can get quite popular on weekend evenings.  I've actually had to hop over to The Mix to use theirs.

Be advised, youthful people - they sometimes go 21 and over on Friday nights and check ID.

We recently moved into an apartment one block away from PSP (yes we locals now so we can abbreviate it).  So far we've had dinner a couple times, and I've ate lunch there several times.  When it comes to lunch, I'm completely hooked on the Grinder sandwich.  Your pick of any three pizza toppings, of which my fav is green peppers, jalapeños, and italian sausage.  They add marinara, mozzarella on top of a toasted roll.  Delicious!  Daily lunch special for eat-in with a drink and soup on the side.

When it comes to dinner, it's all about the Chicken Chipotle Ranch pizza, or BBQ Chicken pizza.  Both are excellent!  Needless to say we will be regulars there long as we live in the neighborhood.

This was my FAVORITE pizza place when I lived in Tacoma in 2009. Unfortunately we ordered take out during our recent trip to Tacoma and the pizza just wasn't right. The crust was thick and too doughy - maybe undercooked?

It was disappointing because I remembered the crust being thinner and crispy. I will give it another try next year... hoping it was a fluke.

I also recommend breakfast at PSP, but seating can be limited.

Every time I go there I get treated like garbage. Not sure why. I came in with my sister to have lunch there & they acted like I was bothering them.  When the girl took our order she clearly wanted to get it over with ASAP. The 2nd time I came in was to order take out for me & my family for breakfast. The girl that took my order, once again, made me feel like I was bothering her.  I gave her my credit card AND a $8.00 tip BEFORE I got my food since I already knew the food was good and figured they may treat me a bit better. When my food was ready,  the girl just SHOVED it to me!!!! I said thank you and she never responded!!!! Not too sure why....
I love their food but can't understand why they insist on being so rude to me for no reason.  We will NEVER go there again. And the only reason they get 1 star I'd because I love their food.

I confess that I haven't been here for about a year. The pizza is tasty, if a bit expensive. The breakfasts are really good. The ham steak is thick and big, the Huevos Rancheros are delicious. I love the Biscuits and Gravy.
But the service-it sucks. They are slow to take your order, you have to run down a staff member to get coffee, and ask for the check when it's obvious you've been finished for awhile.
    Food- 4 stars
    Service 1 star

We've eaten PSP many times over the years, both in the restaurant and as take out.  A place that's always been on my average list just took a notch down.  Here's why:

    - Bad service - a surly waitress who had to be chased a couple of times for a variety of things and forgot part of our order.
    - Bloody Marys that our party had dubbed "Heinz Marys with a splash of Kraft BBQ" by the time we left.  Yes, they tasted just like that.  I question whether there was tomato juice or booze in them - maybe just the catsup and bbq sauce...
    - So-so pizza and sandwiches that do not warrant putting up with the above.

OK, if you're a 20-something looking for a fun hangout, this place is awesome. If you're a 50-something looking for pizza and beer late at night, and it happens to be Friday night, this place is hilarious.

Between the people watching and the ridiculous attire on the young people enjoying the karaoke, we managed to have a pretty good pizza, the Supreme.

We were served a local microbrew. It didn't impress us, but we're picky beer drinkers.

It took the pizza man a few questions before he realized we wanted table service, but once he got with the program, he was great. We gave him a great tip.

If it's late at night, and you need a pizza, I recommend PSP.

Really good pizza +  really bad karaoke = FUN TIMES.

Sat at the bar, got prompt service and the karaoke book is quite good.

The karaoke guy wore a utili-kilt with a tank top, and had huge Oak Ridge Boys meets ZZ Top beard.  He lifted up his tank top and danced while I sang Hot In Herre.  It pretty much made my night.

I've been here on a few occasions and the pizza is great!  I mean...really really great.  But I'm giving this place 1 star and would actually give it 0 stars if I could.

    Why?

We ordered five pizzas to-go.  Allow me to repeat that last part...TO-GO.  We picked up the order which came out to $104 and change and the employee tells us that the person who took the order forgot to tell us that for orders over $100, they tack on a 15% gratuity.

    HUH?!?

We order over $100 and pick up the pizza and you expect a 15% gratuity??  What the hell did you do to deserve any gratuity?  You made the pizza and put it in a box??  Did you deliver it?  Did you serve it to me?  Did you do anything close to what a server actually does when you go to an establishment and waits on a patron?  NO...you made five pizzas and let us pick it up.  So, exactly how do you decide that a gratuity is necessary?

If we had split the order into two orders, we would have avoided the 15% gratuity?  By having one order, we're only inconveniencing you by ringing up one tab and making you open the register one time.  With two orders, you'd have to work twice as hard.  Logically, I think the gratuity is only meant for dine-in customers but clearly the employee working today was trying to pad her pockets with a tip she and her coworkers clearly did not deserve.

I cannot support a place where the staff is allowed to run amok and mistreat its patrons with inane "policies" such as this.  So the service earns this place the only 1 star review I've ever given to a restaurant.  Thanks are not necessary PSP...you've earned it.

But the pizza is good though.  Seriously, good.  For those of you who decide to go here, keep your tab under $100 or you'll be subject to a fine.

I've been here twice, once for pizza and once for breakfast, so I will break this review into two parts.  Overall, they get a 4.5 star rating, 5 for the former and 4 for the latter.

The pizza is great.  I confess, I think Dominos is good, so my step to great may differ from others, but regardless, I found the pizza to be delcious.  We had two large pizzas, one Hipster and one Pesto, and both were cooked perfectly, and yummy crusts, and TONS of toppings.  Growing up, I was the kind of kid that liked one pepperoni every inch in a nice neat pattern, but my tastes have since elevated.  I always appreciate a place that can pack a dozen flavors into one bite without making you feel like you're just eating something ridiculous.  i was an especially big fan of their pesto sauce, which I'm sure isn't made fresh, but could have fooled me (and if it is, WTG!).

Breakfast was very good.  There are still a few places I like better for classic eggs and potatos, but they did it well and there are a few things worth mentioning.  Firstly, the breakfast burrito was mega nom, for lack of a better term.  I think I finished it in about six minutes, which is gross, but I couldn't help it.  I also subbed out the meat for artichoke which they did without fuss, and it was great.  Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the potatoes, which I feel are notoriously undercooked in many breakfast 'ritos.  Secondly,  much like I try calamari anywhere I see it, I will also try any places buscuit and gravy.  It was good.  The gravy was a little boring and that's pretty much the only reason this place is getting 4 instead of 5. Picky, yeah, but like I said, still worth it.

Pricewise, the pizza is up there but the breakfast is totally fair.  The portions are huge and I definitely recommend working this into your pizza and breakfast rotations.

I was lounging around the house today and suddenly got the hankering for some pizza. I didn't want any chain crap and I didn't feel like paying a ton of $$ for it either.

After giving it some though I figured a trip to PSP was in order. I heard it was good, read it was good, so it must be good. So after a few minutes of hauling my sluggish ass out of the house I made it on over.

As soon as I walked in my ears were greeted with some soothing punk rock and the delicious smell of pizza! Once I grabbed the menu I settled on a 10" pie and a PBR tallboy. When I got my pizza, which only took a few minutes it was full of toppings and smelled awesome. First bite, delicious! I liked how the crust was crispy but chewy at the same time and perfectly done. I liked the sauce as well, tangy and a little sweet but not overly. I really liked that the olives didn't have that right out of a can taste, they actually tasted like olives for a change. I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I have ever had but for Tacoma it was pretty damn good.

The service was OK, it wasn't as bad as some have mentioned on Yelp but it wasn't overly friendly either, just right. Then again I don't really require much in the way of service. All in all it was good and the price was right. I will probably be back for a second round in the near future.

The whole great tasting pizza without the pretensions is a load of crap. If having a down to earth pizza means that people get to be rude, loud and obnoxious then give me a snobby pizza any day!

Running around doing errands one day we wanted Pizza for lunch.  We were going to go to The Rock, but then I remember reading about PSP and though we could give it a try.

The whole visit to PSP was just awkward.

You walk in and the place is kind of small with a few workers hanging around the counter top in front of the kitchen (they weren't very busy). We could have sat at the table's right across from the counter top while the works hung out there...but we wanted a little bit more privacy. We found our way down some stairs on the left to the bar area...still small but would allow us to talk and eat without feeling like we were being watched.

There was a group of young adults down in the bar area with us. We looked at the menu....and we ordered a pizza, I forget which one but it just about had everything on it. We also ordered side salads that were very good. My fiancé said he had eaten in there for breakfast once a few years ago and that he liked it. The server was pleasant and nice she took our order and refilled our drinks when they were low.

Here is the awkward part. The group of young adults are using the F word in every sentence...and one of the guys in the group of young "adults" starts YELLING for his friend who just walked by the window outside...like I said it's SMALL and the guy is YELLING over and over again. The whole time the bartender keeps sitting down at their table and then getting up to fill drink orders and then comes back and sits back down. They were obnoxious and loud...and the bartender's friends!?!...and no one came out to tell the bartender to have her friends chill or shut up!?!

This is when I started to think sitting in front of the counter top being watched by the workers wouldn't have been all so bad.

Well our prayers were answered as the motley crew gathered their stuff...burped a few times and left. AMEN..I think I heard angels singing too.

The pizza came out shortly after that. It wasn't too long of a wait.
First thing I noticed....eeww their sausage looks like rabbit turds!! I hate precooked sausage on a pizza I think it's lame to make a great pizza and then throw some precooked sausage on it!! The sausage is just like the sausage you get at Papa Murphy's take and bake, which I do not like.

The crust is VERY thin...I knew that before we got there that they had super thin crust and they do! It reminds me of a flour tortilla is soooo thin. What amazed me was that the crust although thin was not soggy at all..it was nice and crispy!

All in all I didn't think it was that outstanding...the flavor (sauce) reminded me of Round Table Pizza ..I just don't see what the big deal is about this pizza.

We both said we wouldn't be coming back.

Unfriendly, sluggish, and in la la land would describe the service.

Walked in hyped to get pizza as I read some great reviews of the place. I walked in and was greeted immediately by one of the employees.  A nice gal who gave me a menu and told me of their happy hour which was only available in the bar section.  In hind sight, seems a little weird, why not the whole restaurant?  But anyhow...I went into the little bar section where I sat down.  I must have made eye contact with the bartender on three occasions but she should stood their like she was stuck in quicksand.

Finally after about 5 minutes, I get up and ask another worker if I'm supposed to go up there to order because she clearly has looked at me a few times and has not come over.  She goes back to tell the girl I want to order, so she then seemingly drags her lifeless body over to me and with enough force generates the minimal amount of air to stimulate her vocal cords to ask me what I want.  At this point, I felt really guilty for making her walk that 10 feet to do her job, so I gathered my composure, fought back the tears, and ordered a beer and pizza.  And now that I think about it, I think she even quoted me the wrong price then what was told to me at the door, but....none the less, I finally ordered!!

She sluggishly brought my beer to me with her head down, put it on the table and walked away.  No smile, no eye contact, no "here you go"...nada, zilch...  So I thought to myself, you know what?  Fuck this.  I'm not gonna give my money to a place that can't deliver.  So I got up and told the guy up front in the kitchen making food what the deal was, and to pass on my message to the manager, that basically this girl is just completely unfriendly and acts like she doesn't want to be here.

Maybe there are those that let stuff like this slide, well...not me.  I am paying for  a service, and if someone can't deliver what they are supposed to, then I'm going else where.  Likewise, if I give a patient the wrong medication and kill them or they have adverse effects, I am held liable.  And I'll be damned if I'm going to be the only one of a few that is going to be held accountable for my actions in this world.  Accountability...I think it should be placed on a milk carton.

    Devils Advocate:
She had a bad day.  And?
Someone may have died in her family.  Doubt she would be there.
She just found out she's pregnant and isn't happy.  Use a condom.
Her newest tattoo she got was messed up.  Not my problem.
She did too much coke last night and hasn't slept.  Don't do drugs.
She just doesn't like the job.  Get a new one.
She saw a rat and is stressed & can't focus.  Get a rat trap w/ cheese..

Man, breaks my heart to do this, but we hit the bar last night and the drinks pretty much sucked. The ginger whiskey was good, the mac 'n jacks was of course solid (you can't fuck up tap too badly), but the other mixed drinks we got were warm, weak, and pretty much disgusting.

Karaoke was still a blast, but I don't think I'll be coming back for anything other than beer in the near future. What a let down.

I've eaten at PSP a few times and have enjoyed it every time.  Simply stated, they have my favorite pizza in Tacoma.  Thin crust, the toppings are evenly spread across the pizza with not too much or too little cheese or sauce.  I like spicy pizza, so the St. Helens is always my pick, but I've sampled a couple of their other ones when going with friends.  Nothing has disappointed.

My biggest gripe is the service.  They aren't rude or mean, but it just seams a bit non-existent at times.  They don't come by to refill water or check on things, so it has that awkwardness of should I get up and ask or are they going to come by.  The service wont keep me away from their great pizza, but I wouldn't recommend going in expecting anything special.

PSP falls in comfortably with a 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

PSP is made of a unique blend of win, tasty, and affordable.

Best pizza ever? No. Best pizza in the South Sound? Yep...though the original Rock in downtown Tacoma comes close. Breakfast is pretty epic, too. I wasn't thinking it would be but somehow they can't go wrong other than when it involves salad. Skip the salad and put more veggies on your pizza.

For the really awesome parts: the bartender makes a great Bloody Beer. they're nice even when you're there laaaate and not drinking, just there for pizza. when you ask for it well-done you get a well-done pizza.  I wish their artichoke hearts didn't taste so canned, but throw more garlic on and who cares?

Believe it or not.....we have only eaten breakfast here!  I definitely want to give it a try for some great pizza.  The breakfast has always been very good and fresh.  I love their omelets, they are so different from other places.  I know, I know, drinking in the morning is probably not that great...but they have a mean spicy bloody mary!  I just figure that I am adding a few more vegetables to my diet ; )
The staff has always been friendly and good with kids.  I like to see what new tat's they are toting these days!
Overall, a great place for breakfast.

I've been to PSP at least a half-dozen times, and tried all sorts of menu goodness.  I can definitely say that, while the sheen of perfection is off a little, this place still rocks.

The Breakfast:  Solid food at a reasonable price.  The eggs have deteriorated a bit in quality (new chef?) but everything is good and solid.  Still, though, I wish it was all a bit more adventurous.  This is three-star hangover food, not five-star mind-blow.  On the plus side, breakfast is served until 1.  These people know their crowd.

The Pies:  Still solid as the first day.

The Sandwiches: Good and melty, although a little overpriced.  The waitress generously substituted a bleu cheese salad for the fries at no additional cost.  I'm not sure if they want people taking that deal, but honestly, I think it's the best bet.

The Atmosphere: Now with twice the room!

If you haven't been, go.  This is a new Tacoma landmark, and justly so.

If you want great tasting pizza without the pretensions (i.e. The Rock), this is where it's at.

Their pizza selection is great. My friends and I ordered The Hipster (minus the artichoke hearts - because they're gross). The pizza was DELICIOUS. I really liked the sun-dried tomatoes on it along with the big chunks of chicken. It's way better than a pizza chain.

It is a bit pricey (around $19) but it get super cheap if you bring friends.

The service was good and the food came out pretty quickly. This place is definitely one of the top pizza joints in Tacoma

The breakfast here, though much lauded by other reviewers, was nothing to write...h..err..yelp about as we saw it.

The pizza, on the other hand, is worth going back for.  The pizza is not overly pretentious nor overly played up (ROCK: I'm thinking of you here).  It's just good, hand-tossed, not too thin and certainly not deep-dish pizza.  The staff are usually pretty cool -- nothing astounding, but solid service.  I'd say this is probably one of the better pizza spots in Tacoma, without a doubt.

Good breakfast, lunch & dinner, great bar & BEAUtiful oven-baked chicken wings. Plus they have Mac & Jacks...I automatically love any place that has Mac & Jacks. God I sound like an alcoholic...

AnyHOW, I strongly recommend Saturday night karaoke--My friend ran into a coworker here one night who got drunk and outed himself in 5 short minutes. It was amazing.

BEST BEER AND PIZZA IN TACOMA

I would describe Puget sound Pizza as a great little bar that happens to have an amazing pizza place attached.  Seems like every other person I meet there is a musician.  Open late almost every night of the week.

Bartenders are all relaxed and service is always good.

On Saturdays and Sundays they have breakfast until 1PM !!!
Mimosa's and Bloody Marys along with really wonderful traditional breakfast fare !
