Honestly, I'm just surprised at what a high rating this place has. It's a no. Just no. Gross.

The food is good and the atmosphere is alrigth.  I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I'm on Rt. 3 and want some good wings I'll stop on by.

I came back Friday night after the movies for some wings and tried the bone-in wings, $10 for 10 wings with side of magna fries. The sauces were much better this time around. The atmosphere at night is also a lot more fun and food seemed better. I really enjoyed it. Still pricey but not bad when the food is awesome.

They took the Greek nachos off the menu. See picture in photos. They were awesome. RIP GREEK NACHOS. We won't be back nearly as often. And I don't hit check-in every single time I come here.

This was our first visit with Quaker Steak & Lube. We found the parking lot and store layout to be awkward to navigate, as it seems like you're parking/entering from the back door and then you have to walk through a packed bar area (good luck squeezing through if people are seated in the area) to get to the dining area in the back.

We ordered the loaded magna fries as an appetizer. The fries were delicious but the ranch was pretty watered down. Next we had the cheese steak phil-m-up w/o mushshrooms with lettuce, tom, mayo, Italian dressing on the side and applesauce. Another diner ordered the jalapeno ranch chicken BLT wrap and found it was dry, tasteless and not not to order. We didn't even eat half of our entrees and when we were asked 'how is it' and explained we didn't like it much, we were told sorry about that and brought the check. We weren't looking for a free meal, but at most places, if you don't eat it, they send a manager to your table to investigate and, sometimes, they don't charge you for it.  Not here! Like it or not, you're paying! It would have just been nice if someone cared enough to investigate if maybe it wasn't cooked correctly so it could be corrected.

IMHO, if you find yourself here, I'd skip the Cheese Steak Phil-M-Up and the Jalapeno Ranch Chicken BLT Wrap that we ordered. With such a large menu, there's a chance they ma yhave SOMETHING good! Possibly try the wings?

Excellent wings!  They have tons of sauces to choose from,  but I am a fan of their Buckeye BBQ sauce! It's hot, but not to the point of being inedible. There are sauces that get hotter than that though, so be careful!   Service is nice and friendly.  Decor needs HALP.  The really need to remove that nasty carpet they have up in there. I don't get it.  Use tile!  It's absolutely disgusting.  If the weather is nice, we eat outside in the back.  The only thing is they allow smoking back there, so it can get annoying if there's too many people back there and this is a biker's hangout so, you know, comes with the territory.  It's also a popular family spot and you see a mix of different people there.
Easily my favorite place to have lunch on a weekend afternoon in Fredericksburg.  The food is inexpensive and is served up fast and fresh. You can't go wrong with the wings..seriously.  I like the boneless ones the best, actually.  I also enjoy their Lube-n-Ade which they make fresh and you can add another fruit flavor in there, like mango. Delicious! Costs as much as a pint of beer, but it's worth it.

Of course, I'll be back to eat here again and again.  Please change the carpet though :)

This place has gone drastically down hill since they opened.  It used to be great but not so much anymore.  My husband ordered lunch take out from there.  He brought our order home and the wings had no sauce on them!  Mind you there were like 5 people in there when he went to pick it up so its not like they were busy.  Overpriced and disappointing.

My sister and I stopped in while shopping in Central Park.  We didn't know what to expect.  The decor is like you basic sports bar or pub.  The menu is reasonably priced. The service was....let's just say "mediocre".  We did have to ask our waitress several times for a drink refill and the check. However, the taste of the food and the reasonable prices bumped the stars up to 4. The wings were tastey and the bang bang shrimp was extremely flavorful.

I will be back for more!

I go here for one reason... the sauce. The wings are great too, but the sauces are so good! We went on all-you-can-eat-wing-night and ordered way more wings than we could eat 5 minutes before the promotion ended. Our server was very accommodating! Although, I'm almost certain we made the kitchen staff very angry :/

I was there a few days ago for a quick bite while waiting around in the central park. This is basically a burger and Wings Joint with some interesting decor.

The atmosphere was relaxed, and the server did a good job of getting to me as soon as I was seated. I appreciated this, as I really didn't have too much time to kill. I ordered the burger which arrived to my liking and in a reasonable amount of time. The bartender was great as well. I'll give it a try next time I have a little bit more time.

Wings were pretty good and the burger was just fine. What stood out was the bartender. She was seating people, telling the staff how to charge, I think she was even trying to figure out how to install a credit card system behind the bar. CLEARY has her act together and made me think she was the owner or something. Impressive. This place meets expectations of a wing joint/sports bar, but they clearly have the leg up on the competition when it comes to staffing.

    I ate here on 08-10-12.
I had never been here before, and my friend suggested it. We arrived we seated immediately. The decor was great! The layout was a NASCAR, mechanic style. We had a coupon for buy one entree get one free. We both decided to try the burgers. She ordered the Hot Mess Queso Burger" with steamed vegetables. I ordered the "Arizona El Camino Burger" with their famous onion rings.. She ordered hers medium well and I ordered mine well done.We both had Ice tea. When our order arrived i was very impressed! Thinking her burger would be huge, which it was big, when I saw mine it was beyond manageable to eat without cutting it four ways. This burger was huge!  The burger had pepper jack and cheddar cheese, sour cream, fire roasted black bean and corn, bacon, Arizona ranch sauce and jalapenos. the flavor was mouth watering.  I could only eat half of it, and I didn't get to try the onion rings due to the deep discussion with my friend I forgot all about them. The service was good, not too pushy, coming up every 5 mins like some restaurants, so that was a definite plus. They did honor our coupon, which made this meal under $20 not including tip. My friend said she really enjoyed the food as well. My suggestions on this establishment is this: The food is great, decor is great, service is good, but if your looking for a quite place to get something to eat and TALK, or a business meeting, this restaurant may not be for you. It is Loud due to the televisions, and lots of people talking and having a good time. This establishment is VERY children friendly! This in NO WAY disrespects the restaurant, because it is designed for this atmosphere. I would suggest you try out this place if you want good food, and a great sports like atmosphere! Thank you!

Dear Yelp App, you have yet to disappoint me; hungry in Fredricksburg looking for a place that all my friends could agree on we decide to check out Quaker Lube based on its variety and good reviews.

First off our server Ayasha was awesome, hands down one of the best servers I've ever had, she was super attentive, helpful and friendly! Second off the food was delicious also got the custom build combo which included chicken wings and app which was a pretty good deal. The wings were awesome, my only complaint is there is so many sauces to choose and they all sound so good, not such a bad problem have; I settled on the Louisiana Lickers a nice mix of Cajun and BBQ seasonings and was not disappointed.

Overall, def someplace worth checking out for great all american food.

I had a few friends down from NY this past weekend and after a long day at Lake Anna we were hungry.  I found Quaker Steak and Lube on Yelp and decided to go there on a whim because it seemed to have a variety of different food to suit the needs of all of the people I was with.

My boyfriend and I split an order of 10 wings with the Hot sauce.  They were delicious (although we could even have gone a bit hotter!)  I ordered a Arizona burger medium rare and it came out cooked perfectly to order!  The burger was topped with pepper jack cheese, tortilla strips, sour cream, jalapenos and a bit of a spicy ranch drizzle.  I'm not a huge burger fan, but I was in the mood for it that day and it definitely hit the spot after being out in the sun all day!  The burger also came with garlic-seasoned fries.  Everyone I was with thoroughly enjoyed their food and were glad that we chose this place!

What made the difference between a 3-star review and a 4-star for me was the service!  Our waitress was extremely attentive and because it was apparently a bit hotter in the restaurant than usual she regularly brought us waters.  None of us ever got to the point where our glasses were empty!  A few of us also had significant modifications to menu items in our orders, but everything came out exactly as it was ordered.  Although she had other tables besides our party of eight she was more attentive than any waitress I've EVER had and she even took the time to make some casual conversation.  At the end of our meal when she brought the check she gave us each 2 Twizzlers!  Abslutely wonderful service!  If I am ever in Fredericksburg, VA again I would definitely consider going back!

I love this place.  The hot sauces are good and the food even better.

It is so hard to find places that me and the wife enjoy and we found a great compromise with Quaker.

I had the lube burger twice and loved it both times.  The chips which are okay, a little thick for me but good none the less.

My wife had the boneless wings which she enjoyed twice now.

Service is good and the price is decent.

This place reminds me of buffalo wild wings in that their wing selection for sauces is great but the atmosphere is so much different.  If you're a fan of NASCAR or just cars in general you'll definatly appreciate this place and the decoration.  I went with a group of friends from a car club that I'm with and they were able to fit us all in which was great.  No complaints about this place great service great food and cool atmosphere

Quaker Steak and Lube is where I found myself for Sunday lunch.

I ordered the Haute parm wings and pretzels combo.  I've been to this location several times and I have to say that I'm always cold here! It's a large spacious building with plenty of seats, large bar and outdoor patio.  The chairs are the plastic yard chairs, just to let you know. They aren't uncomfortable, but they are the kind that are really lightweight.

I'm keeping this review fairly short, because there just isn't too much to say about it.  The wings were tasty, but average and I wish they had a little more sauce on them.

    Let's break it down now,

The Food: The wings were pretty good, but they did not have a lot of sauce on them.  The pretzels are really tasty and the cheese sauce with them is yummy too.
The Value: My order was $9.  That's not too bad and it's a good amount of food.
The Experience: It's a fun place! It's car and moto oriented. It's just always cold to me.
3 stars?: It's middle of the road with taste, value and experience. Overall I find the food at Quaker Steak and Lube average (at least as far as wings go) and the atmospher is a lot of fun.  Perhaps I'll give them an extra .5 stars for atmosphere.

Used to really like Quaker Steak.  Even did, and WON!, their Triple Atomic Challenge twice.  The quality of the wings has gone down recently and we've started ordering regular food.  These choices have been really good.  it's not just this location that is having quality issues with their wings.  We've eaten at the ones in Charlotte, NC and in Waynesboro, WV, same problem.  We will stick with BWW for our wings.

We stopped in here for lunch last Saturday - my friend Richard had been to a Quaker Steak & Lube in South Carolina and liked it. So after visiting Renegade Classics - we hit this joint for lunch.

I ordered their smallest order of SuperCharged wings (6 wings) which are - according to their menu - at the 30,000 point level on the Scoville scale - they are the third hottest wings on the menu. I asked for them to be extra crispy - as I hate wings with soft, soggy skin. I also ordered the QS&L Queso Loaded Nachos and a glass of water with lime.

My friends both ordered various flavors of wings, onion rings, and a BBQ Cheesesteak.

Our food came out quickly, but in the wrong order - not really a big deal as we were plenty hungry and were inhaling our food. My wings were crispy as requested.

I was interested to see how hot the SuperCharged wings would be - as I love really hot food. The SuperCharged had good heat - but it was not really that hot. Next time I will try the Atomic or the Triple Atomic wings. According to their menu - the Atomic Wings weigh in at 150,000 on the Scoville scale and require you to sign a release form. Won't be the first or last time I've had to sign one!

The Nachos were decent - I was wishing for some Guacamole to go with the Nachos, but they don't offer Guac.

Lots of interesting decor, motorcycles hanging from the ceiling, lots of large flat panel HD TVs around the joint.

I'd come back here again - can't wait to try the Atomic Wings!

I went there on Saturday night, 7 January 2012.

This place has been hyped up in the area as something special but I didn't quite see it that way.

This was my first time in a QS&L and I found it to be a usual bar with tacky decor. I did like the amount of HD TVs in the building though.

I found the wait staff at the bar to not be friendly at all and they didn't seem to care if it was my first time there or not.

I ordered the $8.99 breaded wings and cheese fries special. The fries were OK and the wings were overcooked and they seriously lacked sauce.

That order was originally entered in wrong and they brought out the wrong order to start so there was a delay in getting my meal. Also, the bar waitress seemed to treat this as a hassle. Fortunately, the manager corrected the issue.

I found this place really no different than BW3's which isn't far from this restaurant. I no longer go to BW3's because the last time I was I this area, they charged a $10 cover on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. That's the only major difference between the two places.

I doubt I go back to QS&L again. I don't find it special and I certainly don't find it as a destination place to eat or drink.

The only reason I'm able to partake in the "Lube" on a fairly regular basis is because I teach high school not too far from here (a hell of a commute from Alexandria!).  My husband (being from Ohio) says this is his most favorite wing place.  Being origianlly from Buffalo, it is not mine (I'll reserve that for Duff's).

That being said, Quaker Steak puts out some really good wings with some mighty fine options for sauces.  They have a temperature scale ranging from no heat at all to "tear me a new asshole" hot!  Don't say I didn't warn you!  The best flavors are the Golden Garlic, Arizona Ranch, Hot, and Buckeye BBQ.

If you ever happen to be in the Fredericksburg area, this place is well worth the trip for wings and beer.  If it's a college gameday, even better.

I have tried about a dozen things off the menu and have yet to get bad meal.  I highly recommend the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla.  Wings are the best in FBurg in my opinion with lots of flavor options.  Staff there are all friendly and its a unique atmosphere.  I agree with one poster who says it can get loud in there but I guess that is just indicative of the success they are having.  Tall Blue Moons for $3 happy hour special.

This place was just awful. Our waitress was efficient but so unbelievably rude. The food was also pretty bad. I ordered the ribs which were tough and not even warm. My fiance got the philly which he said was okay. We also got the beer cheese which was absolutely a waste of money and tasted like it came out of a can.

The place was filled with a bunch of highschool kids, not exactly the sports bar atmosphere we were hoping for. I also found the way the waitresses dressed and looked to be somewhat unappetizing. Most of the girls looked like they were rode hard and put up wet. If management wants them to dress provocatively (which I have no problem with) then they should at least hire attractive girls to work there.

Our waitress was so rude that we decided to pay our tab and go to the outside bar to finish having some drinks. The service wasn't any better outside. We are very friendly people and I was shocked at how the bartender treated us. We ordered two shots, she brought one but never brought the other one. So after about ten minutes I asked her for our other shot. She snapped at me and said that she was making it, which was a lie because after I said something she started to make it. She obviously forgot which wasn't a big deal but there was no need for her to get so defensive and snap at a customer. The bar was slow so there was no reason why the service was so slow.

    Avoid this place.

Good music great atmosphere and the Quaker beer is great, but food not so much.  All else was good enough to warrant another shot at the "Best Buffalo Wings" title, but it didn't take it this trip by a long shot.  Cheese on the fries was room temp, the chives shriveled up as if microwaved too long and then left to cool.  And room temp cheese fries are just gross.  This place has great potential, but fell far short tonight.

This review has been a long time brewin...I absolutely love this place!! So much so that at least 2 or 3 times a month some friends and I make the 30 minute drive down there to get us some great food and drink, and have us a good time. It's one of the best restaurants I've been to in my 25 years of existence. Alright so now that I've confessed my undying love for Quaker, I'll tell you why...

First and foremost, the food. I've been there about 9 times and 100% of the time my food has been outstanding. Tuesdays are our usual day of attack at the Lube due to the all you can eat wings starting at 4. You get to start with 8 wings and continue in orders of 5 from then on, deciding on different sauces as you go. The wings are the best I've ever had. My favorite 3 sauces are the Thaisian, Arizona Ranch, and of my #1 choice the traditional Hot. The staff is great. Really friendly, nice, attentive and fun. The atmosphere is sort of a biker bar/sports bar with cars and motorcycles hanging from the ceiling and TV's with sports on all over the place (even one on the floor when you walk in). We always get a "Lube Tube" which is a 100oz beer tube with your choice of draft beer for $18 (coors light is at least) It really is a deal if you and some friends want to enjoy your wings with some cold beer.

So if you're in the Fredricksburg area and want to have a good time with some friends or some family, I strongly suggest the Lube. You won't regret it, especially if you get the wings!! It's a 5 star sports bar

I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars based on food.  It could be just me but I thought the sauces on the wings were too buttery.  We tried the mild and I tried the golden garlic, which wasn't even that spicy.  The wings were a good large size though. I think I'd rather have Famous Dave's wings because they are nice and crispy.

The "pick up pickles" or fried pickle spears are amazing. Very good batter. Hubby really liked it and prefers it over Cheeseburger in Paradise's fried pickle (slices).  The batter has lots of seasoning and is thick.

I had the fried shrimp basket. It was satisfactory but it wasn't the best fried shrimp I've had. (Bob Evans has better fried shrimp surprisingly.) The fries are well seasoned (one can see by the color).  They are not thick but not thin either.

Hubby had the philly steak flat bread and was happy with it. I also had side of rice and tasted some of the cole slaw - both satisfactory but not memorable.

    Service was great!

I love Quaker Steak and Lube. The wings are probably the best you can get in the Northern DC area. Though I'm not a big fan of places with a lot of different flavors of wings. I'm a traditionalist of hot. The all you can eat Tuesday deal makes it worthwhile to give some of the other wings a try. Having try almost all of them I will say the Lousiana Lickers and Buckeye BBQ were my favorites of the non traditional wings.

As for the atomic wings, don't bother unless you want to challenge yourself. They offer little in flavor other then being hot. But I will give them props for not having the chemical taste of most other wing joint's "challenge" wings.

As far sides the pretzels are really good, but the fries always feel like kind of a rip off, but I still get them everytime anyways. What I do like is that the Lube serves both carrots and celery with their wings. To me this is essential in wingdom. But it's weird sometimes the carrots are freshly cut and other times the come in little baby carrot bags. Doesn't bother me either way just wish there was some consistency.

Oh and def get a Lube Tube when you go, it really adds to the experience and is a good beer deal.

My wife and I decided to try this place for dinner and were pleased with the car and bike theme of this upbeat sports-bar.  The service was quick, efficient and friendly.  The food was good and satisfying.

We arrived at what we thought was early for a Saturday, at around 5:30PM and were surprised to see the place very busy.  A couple of large groups were waiting to be seated and the two of us scooted right in to a table amongst the other diners.

Our drink order was taken and delivered quickly.

Even though it was busy our server was attentive, friendly and helpful.  We ordered the gyro sandwich and the turkey-swiss burger on a ciabatta roll.  Both were tasty, filling and nicely presented.  Served at a good temperature the quantity was sufficient without any food taken home.

The décor is the attraction with car and motorcycle paraphernalia, including a race car near the door, and several motorcycles on display, all hung from the overhead.  The walls are covered in racing and automotive-type signs, and several flat-screen televisions showed the current basketball games.  Sports-bar noise levels makes it difficult to hear conversation.

Recommended for good food, tasty drinks, great service, all in a fun up-beat and lively atmosphere.  We'll be back, with friends next time.

Tuesday nights they have an all you can eat chicken wings deal for 12 bucks.  Also beers are 2 bucks, which includes some good beers like Shiner Bock, and they have a Fredericksburg Ale.  They bring you out 6 wings at a time, luckily the waitress came around a lot so I could order new ones.  I tried some different wings - from medium hot to mild - Arizona Ranch, Golden Garlic (my favorite ones - insanely good), Thai R Cracker (used Thai sweet chili sauce as a glaze), Tequila Lime BBQ, Vinegar and Salt Dry Rub, and Mild (my least favorite) - in general the hotter ones were better although I didnt try any of the really hot ones.  Definitely try the Golden Garlic wings.

Quaker opened yesterday but we arrived too early for lunch. Intrigued by the decor and menu, we returned the following day. It's a wonderfully decorated motor sports-themed restaurant. It's lively, with race cars suspended from the ceiling, as well as various motorcycles. The ubiquitous TV flat screens are tuned to every sporting event and ESPN channel imaginable.

My wife and I each had a chicken dish, she the grilled chicken salad, I had grilled boneless wings with steamed broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals, and the service was good. Wait staff and greeters were very pleasant and friendly, and the manager inquired about our meal and experience.

We will no doubt visit again. The eatery is spacious and well decorated. Big windows allow for much welcomed natural light, and the bar area is large and inviting.
