Been here many times and the food is always on par, but the service is most often HORRIBLE. Â The servers rarely if ever fill drinks unless it is coffee. Â They conveniently forget to bring hot sauce or ketchup- even when they are the ones who ask you if you would like it. Â Â I know the waitresses are busy, but if they have so many tables that they give horrid service then it is time to put another server on the floor. Â The busboys deserve more tips than the horrid and unfriendly waitresses. Â I say waitresses because they are ALL female. Â Dear owner- expect more from your employees.
Review Source:Silver hair alert! Usually, a lot of silver hair means one thing "The food might suck, but you get a lot of it." This place fits the stereotype. I had high hopes for this place walking in, as they had a bunch of cars in the parking lot and a co- worker recommended it. The sausage and bacon had a taste not to my liking. Here is the funny part: They make a huge egg omelet with one of those turnover machines off TV. It was dried out and nasty. The breakfast came super fast, which means everything was pre-cooked and/or microwaved. We took mostly all of our food home and threw it away. Again, they have huge portion sizes and some people may enjoy quantity over quality!
Review Source:Short version:
Good - food is very tasty, menu offers lots of choices, and the portions are enormous.
Bad - our waitress's demeanor made it quite clear that we were taking up time that she could be better spending with her regulars and didn't seem to care if we knew it.
Long version:
My daughter had gone here for breakfast with her boyfriend and she loved it, so she, my wife and I went for breakfast one weekday morning. My first impression was that it is quite poorly laid out, but given that it is in a strip mall, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
The menu contains a HUGE variety of breakfast items, and since it was the first time my wife and I had been there, we began perusing. Within two or three minutes, the waitress appeared and asked us if we were ready to order, and she seemed a bit put off when we said no. She took our drink orders and said she'd be back. She soon returned with our drinks, and asked what we would be having. I said that we were still not quite sure, and she sighed and stood there as if we were wasting her obviously very precious time - the idea of asking if we needed a few more minutes was obviously not an option for her. Rather than make a scene, we ordered, with my wife requesting that her eggs be cooked extra-extra well done.
After a somewhat long wait (during which my coffee cup sat lonely and empty until we flagged down a busboy), the food arrived. My wife's eggs were not done to her satisfaction, so she asked that they be sent back - the waitress was obviously nonplussed, mumbled something about special requests, and took my wife's plate back. It was over 15 minutes later before she brought the plate back. and dropped the check at the same time. We never saw her at our table again, and were never asked if we wanted refills on our beverages. Now, during this whole time, we did see her talking and joking with customers that she obviously knew as regulars...not sure how many times one has to eat there before they receive that sort of service from her, but suffice it to say that we probably will not be finding out.
That said, the food was delicious, and the portions were very generous; too bad it will be the lousy service from a disinterested (and sometimes visibly annoyed) waitress that we remember.
