If you're spending a long day in the hospital across the street (visiting, of course.... I'm not advocating that patients elope from their beds and scurry across the street), Recovery is a decent place to grab lunch.
The service was quick and our three meals came out fast. Â Plenty of tv's with various sports channels to watch. Â I had the veggie burger. Â The menu says that they are hand-made, but I have serious doubts. Â Usually hand-made veggie burgers don't come out in a perfect disc. Â I'm talking perfect circle, uniform flatness on both sides, with a mysterious brown Boca-esque "meat" on the inside.
Nonetheless, the food was decent, cheap, and fast.
Less than stellar food. I tried the chicken fingers (hand dipped). I was told by the waitress it was their specialty. They were dry and tasteless. The coleslaw side had hit the sour/rotting ledge. The French fries were normal but not really good. The only thing that was above par was the pretzels. Warm and soft, they were good. The cheese dip was something like watered down cheese but not terrible.
The rest of the bar, was a bar. One cool table top feature was the radio. You could tune in any TV in the joint to hear the sports. That was a winner.
