On the weekends, El Cilantro makes a red beef pozole, complete with fresh, on-the-side jalapeños, onions, cabbage, radishes and of course cilantro. I asked for some extra hot sauce, and the generous owner produced a just-grilled red chile that was delicious. It was fantastic pozole, and I haven't had a specimen that good in the area. Wonderful, fresh horchata, plentiful and tasty tacos, and of course a bright red and lime green interior that does wonders to dispel Chicago's winter gray. And free wifi! I had a feast for 10 bucks.
Review Source:Found it on the advice of my office co workers I really wanted to find a good mexican place in Edgewater. I don't know what I have been missing, but living in Pilsen  spoiled me forever.
I got some breakfasty stuff chicalaciles - which I have never ever had for some reason. The amazing part - after my take out breakfast/lunch sat near my table for a good hour and then i had to reheat it in the microwave - it was still good! The tortilla chips have grown limper BUT the sauce was amazing!!! Even the beans were tasty. Not really a fan of rice it was there as a side dish.
They give you a lot of food for the money - AND it tastes fresh!
Will be back to explore more! Â Yey!
