Service was fast and genuinely friendly, also a great place to order take-out.
Stealthy and attentive bar to go to have a drink with the girls!
Classic Rock&Roll music is my favorite, that's all they play in there
Good, quality place to get a bite to eat; so glad I discovered this place.

Was staying at hotel around the corner and decided to give it a try. Food was awesome and staff were great. Definitely will eat there again when I'm back on their side of town.

Thank The Lord I stumbled upon this place!! Amazing pizza, service, and overall experience. They also have amazing other dishes to choose from if you're not a pizza fan. The shrimp scampi is one of my favorites!

So, I've been eating at The Rock for years, and I had no idea that their happy hour is so awesome.

3 dollar wells. Need I say more? And they pour with a heavy hand. I don't know if this is always the case, but when we went... they were pretty generous.

8 dollar pizzas also help soak up all that booze! Super nice bartenders. I guess I know where I'll be hanging out next time I come here!

Went today for lunch special 2.00 off 9" pizza. They no longer honor it and charged 11.99. To expensive. Can get pizza and salad for cheaper at multiple other places. Be
tter ask before you order a special.

I came across this place about 7 years ago and it really stood out as great pizza.  I put it up there with one of my top three pizza places.  Thin chewy homemade crust and generous fresh toppings.

I have been back about once  a year since then.  The place gets very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.  The place is family friendly,  kids get piece of fresh dough to play with and color crayons while they wait.  The place is loud and a little dark for me especially if you are not in a booth.  I have trouble reading the menu in the dim lighting as it is white gothic print on a black background.

The last two times I have been there I don't think it has been quite as good as my first time.  Not sure if it is me or them that has changed.  My last pizza had bare spots that had no cheese.  Maybe they need to work on consistency.

Definitely better than any chain pizza place.  It's a good family place as kids will be happy and mom and dad can have drinks or a beer and everyone loves good pizza.

Don't eat here if you're starving. My order always takes forevers! But the food is pretty good, but takes too long.

    Update:

The GM contacted me about our previous bad experience, and invited us back for another try. I applaud the GM's customer service and attention to these reviews! We went to the bar during a Friday night happy hour in the bar with a large group of people (3 tables for our party). We got there early enough that everyone was seated immediately and got their orders taken/food & drink received in a decent amount of time. This was a big improvement over our first visit to this location. Food and drink was great, service good.

Had dinner at this pizzeria in April 2013. There were 8 of us and we ordered many pizzas and pasta dishes. They were all delicious and the pasta & pizza dough taste homemade & fresh.  Will definitely be back there again!

I love this place....I've been here several times.  The prices are decent.  They have They have a really good happy hour menu. The service is great.  They brew their own beers, for just about every taste.  I do enjoy the stairway to heaven.  I love love love this place.  The buckets are really good too!!n  I'd go kinda early though, for dinner because they do get busy.

BEST PIZZA, DRINKS and DESSERT EVER!

I went there with some friends and ordered a large Pizza, white pizza with all kinds of toppings to share with drinks. I forgot what it was called, but it came in a bucket and it was so good. It also hits you like a ton of bricks (really strong!) Do try the jello-shots. They are cute and unique. We also had the brownie with ice cream and chocolate fudge (I think it's similar to a sundae). That was good too.

Service was great and I would definitely recommend going there during Happy Hour. They have an expansive happy hour menu!

I literally created this yelp account to write this review.  In the past year or so I have been to The Rock maybe five times and usually with a different group of people.  After the first time, Nate (always our server by luck!) remembered myself and my family.  He even remembered my dad's choice beer (IPA!) and that I am deathly allergic to nuts!  i am a server/bartender myself (for yeeeears!) and servers like Nate are what it's about.
Not to mention, their manager was so great about doing genuine table touches and following up on my allergy situation.

Oh, the food!  As great as the service.  So many great choices for a pain in the butt guest like me (allergies AND vegetarian) and always prepared and served wonderfully and in a timely manner.  And they have their own great microbrews!  I love the blonde and IPA and recommend them both.

Excellent service (thanks, Nate!) and great food AND confidence I won't die when eating there?!  Perfect.  Wish I didn't live all the way in Seattle so I could frequent the spot more often--when Nate's working, of course.

A bit skeptical of Seattle pizza (this is our first trip to Washington), we decided to give this place a try.  We were rewarded with both service and food that were awesome!!

Been here twice and loved it both times. The pizza is simply excellent. The crust is soft and delicious and the ingredients are super fresh. The beer is good. Service is excellent. Cool ambiance. What more can you ask for? An all you can eat buffet and good happy hour prices? Done!

Excellent pizza and appetizers, and terrific beer.  I've been coming here for several years, and I'll keep going whenever possible.  I usually meet friends there and we sit in the bar, so this review is based more on that experience than the restaurant.  The bartenders are great!  Jake, Colleen, Charlie, to name a few. . . all of them great to be waited on, and to strike-up conversation with if you're sitting at the bar itself.

Favorite Pizzas: Meaty, Beasty, Big & Bouncy and Crazy Train
Favorite App:   Hot Wings (extra hot)  or Thai Chicken Salad
Favorite Brew:  Rock Steady Red   (XXX IPA when in season)

The two happy hours each weekday 3-6PM and 9-Close (and all-day on Mondays during football season) offer a ton of food and drink specials.

I'd rate this place 4.5 stars on the food, and 3.5 stars on the service.  Have been here at least a dozen times, and occasionally the service dips a little, but the pizza is consistently excellent.

I'm a huge pizza fan and I think The Rock is a bit underrated.  I'd honestly say that the pizza is competitive with the best places in the United States, but the cheesy decor does the food a disservice.  (IE, if the place didn't look so ridiculous, they could easily charge 50% more for pizza of this caliber.)

The pies are larger and a bit doughier than you'll find at places like Serious Pie or Kens, but they're not as 'heavy' as you'll find at your typical pizzeria.  Basically the pizza is a good balance between decadent and light.  (I think that a lot of pizzerias go heavy on the dough, which yields a bland mess of cheese and toppings.  The Rock does NOT do this.)

No one goes here for appetizers, but they should.  The chipotle wings are dry rubbed, served on a cast iron plate, and are delicious.  The cast iron plate insures that the wings are served at an ultra-hot temperature, which really brings out the flavor.  Definitely a step-up from how most places serve chicken wings.

The beer is acceptable, but no better than what you'll find from most local breweries.  But that doesn't mean the beer is bad; it's just that Seattle and Portland have a lot of great local brews, and the Rock's beer doesn't exceed what you'll find locally.

Service is a bit slow, but this restaurant is huge and I don't think they can serve it much faster than they do.  This isn't an intimate place by any means; it's probably four thousand square feet.  So, yes, it can be a bit slow at times but that's mostly because the place is hyooge.

Bottom line:  The pizza is competitive with the best pizza restaurants in town, the beer is good, prices are very reasonable, and the service is not great but it's good enough.  A solid four stars.

Food is good, but the parking is a joke. If you plan to go to the restaurant. Plan to order a helicopter to  jump out of because of lack of parking. If you look in front, you will see a bunch of Ford F950s penis extension trucks out front blocking the entrance, so people ALWAYS have a hard time leaving. If your going to go, I recommend bringing a pair of running shoes, flashlight, swiss army knife, a pack of MRE's, and a heavy jacket because you will park in Egypt... If you don't mind parking far and walking, follow the big dipper in the stars for 750miles and you will see the full parking lot that the restaurant is too cheap to add on, you can't miss it.. bon appetite!

Went into the Rock because a friend had a gift certificate for the place.  The atmosphere is cool, but the food is sub par.  Granted I ordered a pasta dish at a pizza place, I was sorely disappointed.  The pasta sauce was runny and the chicken tasted like it had just been thawed out from frozen and served.  Definitely  not cooked fresh, maybe even microwaved before being added to the pasta.  The waitress was very sweet though, and offered a comp for the gross, runny mess of a pasta. She even offered to bring me a new dish, but I was feeling a little sick from the taste of the chicken.

The drinks were good though and the service was prompt.  I will go back once more and try for a pizza.  Hopefully I will have a better food experience.  Overall I had a good time, but left feeling a little disappointed that I didn't have a good food experience.

I think The Rock is okay. Maybe it's just not really my thing.

Pizza is decent. Flavors are basic and dependable.

Service was very friendly so that was a plus.

It's very dark in there. They have a vibe similar to the Hard Rock Cafe with the music theme. It looks like they brew their own beer so that is cool!

They offer a lunch buffet with a salad included and a soft drink for $10/person. Pretty good deal. The problem is- you eat too much! This is why I'm not a fan of buffets.

They continually make pizza and bring it out to the buffet line which is a good thing. If there's a kind of pizza you want in the buffet you can ask them and they'll make it.

The Rock is an a-okay place for a casual meal when in Lynnwood. The Rock seems like a good place for kids, too.

Service: The host was our waiter. This made for disjointed service. We also waited 15 minutes for a table when a clean one was right in front us the whole time.

"Rock Chips": Someone obviously deep-fried some Ruffles and then put a gallon of salt on them. So awful. (To be fair, they sounded awful to me before we ordered them, but my dad really wanted to try them, so we did.)

The Pizza: I've had Tombstone Pizza I liked more. Lacking flavor and cheese.

The only reason we even went is we had a gift card from the management at a different location, due to a bad experience there.

Writing off this chain as not worth my time!

You ever wonder where people get those drinks in a pail with a shovel? This is the spot. The food is so-so, but their lava lamps and drinks that come in sand-buckets are on point. Come here with a big group.

My daughter loves this place (she's 4) and asks for it by name.  I have to admit I'm growing fond of it myself.  It's not my favorite pizza place, but I do like the staff there as well as some of the pasta dishes.  Almost anything with meatballs is very good to excellent there.

Watch the spicy dishes as they can be a little too hot for some people.  I love spicy stuff but sweat profusely when I eat it to the point where I kind of want to sit in the tub and eat it at home.  (Yeah I know... ladies love a man who just sweats like a faucet when eating hot food.  I'm sure it's less alarming than watching someone swell up from a peanut allergy, but only marginally so... Hey this isn't about me though.  It's about The Rock!)

    The Rock rules.  Go there.

Came back because the GM Cheryl is awesome and wanted me to have a better experience than the last time.  Came with a friend and our kids and got some delicious pizza.  Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Convinced us on the bat outta hell pizza which i was on the fence about because of the roasted pecans but it all worked. it was awesome.

I've heard so many great things about this place, mainly regarding their big ass drink "The Bucket" so I had to check it out myself. Sad to say, I didn't have a drink while I was here but I did sample various items off their food menu. I went with a huge BBQ chicken salad (comes in 2 sizes) and my husband and son shared a pizza and Caesar salads. My BBQ chicken was absolutely delicious and full of good stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was and enjoyed everything about it. The pizza the boys ordered was awesome as well. All the toppings were good but it didn't feel like a rock sitting in your stomach. I would really like to try out this "Bucket" that I've heard so much about so I'll have to go back without the kids in tow!

Love their pizza! The drinks are huge. The service has always been great and the servers very friendly. The prices are fair considering how good the pizza is. The kids enjoy it. The pizza dough they give the kids to play with is a hit with the kids and the adults. I love the decor and the theme. I can't say enough good things about this place. Overall, I love this restaurant!

I agree with other reviews that the menu is hard to read and understand, but I think they recently re-did them with a new font, so its at least easier to read. But, we order the same thing every time so don't even look at the menu.

My one and only complaint is how they handle large parties. If you place your order for one large pizza two minutes after a party of 30 places their order for 15 pizzas, they will make ALL of their 15 pizzas, and then make your 1 pizza. I have never worked in the food industry, but it seems like they could organize this better, as there have been a couple times where we have waited over an hour for our pizza, and the reason given was that a large party placed their order ahead of ours. We are typically dining with small kids, so they start to get antsy.

This place is the best.  My sister wanted to do her baby shower here.  There was a mistake with our reservations but the employess made it right.  They were very nice, the food was good.  Everyone had a really good time.  Thank you employees of the Rock!

We made it into The Rock after a long-ass Sunday ... ran a 5K in Seattle in the morning, down to Tacoma for a Rainiers game, up to Tulalip to hit up the outlets, then back to Seattle. And seemingly every pizza place in Seattle was closing up early. So we were relieved to find out The Rock was open until midnight.

Didn't have too much in the way of expectations coming in, other than the fact that we were starving and tired! Fortunately The Rock was more than adequate for us!

I'll start with the food. Had a "My Generation." Fantastic tasting, creamy and savory pizza. But more importantly, as the name of the restaurant states, it's wood-fired. I don't know what it is exactly about traditional oven cooking -- or more specifically, wood-fired oven cooking -- that makes a pizza taste so much better. But good grief man, does it ever taste better. Had the buffalo chicken strips to go with it as well. If you're a fan of Hooters and their buffalo sauce, this is right up your alley. Tangy, buttery, just spicy enough, but not melt your face off hot.

Didn't have any issues with service when we were there. Of course, we came at a very slow time (late Sunday night), so take that for what it's worth.

I thought the decor and theme was a little corny, but I've been to worse. Definitely not bland touristy "Hard Rock Cafe" like but more like if your older brother who played in garage bands turned his mancave into a restaurant. Of course, I'd rather have a rocknroll-themed restaurant then yet another totally generic "country" themed restaurant.

This place is always talked about and I really wanted to know what was the talk all about. Lets just say its OK. I have way better pizza for the price. Service was ok for what it was. it was not busy and it was not too slow. Waitress seemed unhappy about working.

I dont think I will be going back if i had a say it in.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. The pizza is great, though the menu is a bit confusing since all the pizza names are music related. The service was good and the beer is excellent! My review is really about the management, however. We had two problems during our meal: the server dropped a piece of our pizza while serving us and we were informed of an up-charge for a cheese substitution just before our pizza was brought out.

As for the first issue, there was NO hesitation from the server. He apologized and they put an order in for a mini pizza, which was 3 times as large as the single large slice that was dropped. This mini pizza was obviously comped.

The second issue left a sour taste in my mouth as we were not expecting the up-charge and it was nowhere on the menu. Further, the up-charge was twice what the normal additional large pizza topping charge was. After further explanation we found this was because they substituted an entire pizza's worth of cheese from mozz to feta. We understand the up-charge, just weren't expecting that large an increase. We pulled Shawn (Sean?), the on-shift manager, to our table and let him know our discontent. He was apologetic for the miscommunication, clearly explained the reason for the up-charge in such a way that everything was made clear, let us know how it would be in the future (understandable) and offered to cover the charge. I was happy to meet half-way but he insisted on taking care of the up-charge. Good business move.

We just moved to Lynnwood and needed a local pizza joint. I almost didn't come back because of the bad experience. Had we not interacted with Shawn we probably wouldn't have returned. As it is, we will make this our regular place. Shawn's decision to comp a nominal charge built a customer for the foreseeable future.

This is one restaurant that cares about their' customers satisfaction. I encourage others to have their own experience at The Rock: Wood Fired Pizza

This pizza was mad good.  Not sure what it is about the west coast crust, but now Im on a mission to find it in Texas.

We got the Founders Pie and the Stairway to Heaven.  Sooo delicious and the perfect amount of topping.  The ingredients were fresh and everything was very flavorful.

They also have home brews.  I got the Wild Child Wheat Ale.  Can't go wrong with a frosty wheat - Didn't go wrong here either.

I have absolutely no complaints about the Rock.  Fun atmosphere and great food.

    More Please!

Pizza here is great! I go here for Happy Hour and the cocktails are all fun and themed. Great atmosphere for getting together with friends and having a good time. The servers are very playful and they make the visit very enjoyable.

The only weird thing is how they do their Happy Hour in the dining room. You need to sign up for a card (pretty quick, that's fine), but then if you're in a group and doing Happy Hour you all need to pay together. I get that it's easier to do one check, but it's kind of a hassle when you're in a small group.

But, that aside, go to The Rock for an enjoyable evening.

Stopped in on a Sunday night for dinner. My husband was craving pizza and suggested The Rock, I have never been before and thought I would be adventurous and give it a try.

We both ordered 9' pizzas I got the Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy and him a Bad to the Bone pizza. Both were extremely bland and tasteless not to mention so greasy. We we're both very disappointed.

On the plus side the waitress was attentive & friendly. Good for kids & groups as we found out the hard way, we we where seated next to a party of about 20. I guess good for them bad for us, they were very loud.

I may come back for the lunch buffet, $8.99 for all you can eat pizza, salad, pasta, dessert & soda. Not a bad deal!

This is a great place for pizza.  The menu boasts a huge array of toppings and the vibe is fun.  It's rock and roll themed.  The pizza is wood fired and you can tell.  Its really delicious.  I've never had a pizza I didn't like here.

Most recently I diverged from my usual favorite pizza (the crazy train), and ordered a greek salad.  It was awesome!  Just like the pizza, the salad had a ton of toppings (cheeze, meat, onions, artichokes, etc).

I knocked it down one star for the prices: they are definitely on the more expensive side (for pizza), but the happy hour menu has a lot of deals.   Come between 4-6PM for $6 personal pan pizzas (normally $13!), and cheaper drinks.

I love the pizza here. It's a fun rock n roll atmosphere and the service is great. They make their own beer which very good. My favorite ones are the Suicide Blonde Bohemian style Pilsner and the Jump'n Jack Black. They have a really good lunch buffet that costs $8.99 with soda or $9.99 with beer. You get to choose from a variety of pizza, breadsticks and salads. It's a must have if your really hungry.

Their most well known drink is called The Bucket that costs $9.50. It's a blend of 5 different rums that they serve in a bucket. It's AWESOME!!!! The pizza's are delicious and they average anywhere between $10 to $23 depending on the size you want. They also have delicious burgers and sandwiches, soups and salads and awesome appetizers.

If you are looking for a good happy hour they have two. The first starting from 3pm to 6pm and the second at 9pm to closing. They have great happy hour specials ranging from $3.99 to $5.99 on food or if you want a personal pizza it costs $5.99 to $7.99. Pretty good deals.

I used to think this place was absolute garbage, mainly because of the service, but the staff they employ nowadays has gone above and beyond to make me feel that they have taken a step in the right direction when it comes to customer service.

I was voted to go early and save seats at the bar for a surprise party for one of my friends. My girlfriend was in a panic trying to figure out how we could gather, because apparently The Rock doesn't take reservations for their banquet room on Fridays. No matter, I told her we would just go and storm the bar.

As our group started to overfill the bar, our awesome server, whose name I didn't remember to get (he's got that hair-do, you know- business in the front, party in the back, and he pulls it off), volunteered to open their "banquet" room for us, when I told him we were expecting at least 16 (turned out to be 20) total.

We were very well taken care of, and my friend was completely surprised. We pulled it off, with help from our awesome server and The Rock!
