Rockwell Table & Stage

This is across the street from my apartment and I love that! I pop in here for good food, creative, tasty mixed drinks and ambiance. I never sit in the dining room and I've never done a concert here. It's all about the patio in the back (very top secret. Enter through an alleyway past Starbuck's). It feels both enclosed and opened at the same time.

I love the big tree in the center with white lights. The decor is very romantic and I love going here with my guy. The noise level is perfect for a conversation. I've always had warm, friendly servers who don't give me attitude if all I'm ordering is dessert and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they have a basil honey beer that's divine.

I'm a big fan of the raw tuna tacos and the key lime pie. The flourless chocolate cake was good, too. The prices are a bit steep, but the food's good, so I don't mind.

Other reviewers mentioned the $6 for valet parking. If you simply drive away from the main strip (Vermont Avenue) about one block in any direction (look for the residential streets), there's free street parking.

very entertaining. love this bar, loved the show. the food was meh.... i got some burger with a cheese sauce that was gross. good thing it was so dark inside! think it's been taken off the menu since that fateful night.

do sit at the booths to the immediate right overlooking the restaurant. quaint little date spot. very intimate, very dark.
