We came here last night for drinks. Honestly, I found the Public House pretty disappointing. They were out of two beers we ordered. I understand places run out of beer, and somewhat ironically, this seems to happen more often at places with an extremely large selection of beer on tap. But I didn't expect it to happen twice. As others have mentioned, the temperature of my beer could have been a few degrees cooler. My friend also ordered the nachos. We all had a little sample, and they pretty much sucked. Over-fried, tasteless tortilla chips with melted cheese slopped over them (I'm talking like gross, gas-station nacho cheese).
The service also seemed pretty spotty. We arrived late but we're meeting a much larger group upstairs. They said the waitress barely checked on them and she just stopped coming back up to them after they had received their food. No problem, we can order from the bar. The bartender was really surly. She looked beyond irritated taking our drink order, after we waited patiently for her to get to us. I also saw her roll her eyes at another group of customers (but who knows, maybe they were in the wrong). Unfortunately, we ended up having to order from her again. Same reaction. Â
I like the layout of the bar. More sporty upstairs and more gastropub downstairs. Everything else, kind of meh. You called it, Yelp. I went in with low expectations judging from the reviews and well, I just wasn't that impressed. Sorry Public House. Stop by for a beer if you're in the area on a weeknight, otherwise, don't bother.

Not only was the service horrible, the server ended up double charging my card. Â After calling multiple times over a week and waiting for a "manager" to call me back, I ended up filing a claim with my bank. Â After reading other reviews, I think this place needs a management upgrade, ASAP!
