In a hood so heavily dominated by KTVs, bottle service lounges, and Asian venues, it's nice to see a place like Roosevelt Sports Bar (RSB) to provide a refreshing neighborhood alternative. First timers might notice that RSB looks a lot like many bars throughout Queens and the rest of NYC, but it is tucked away (read: buried) in a congested spot of salons / barbershops / and divey establishments.

There are (count em!) 9 flat screen HD quality TVs spaced across the bar so that no one misses a game. In the event there are multiple big games on, the staff will usually try to accommodate, but be prepared for boos / cheers if there is a large crowd that night. I've enjoyed watching NFL games out here in the past, especially if it's a Jets / Giants night. The sports angle is clearly their biggest asset.

The bar tends to boast the 45 ft of space, which is necessary because the place doesn't look that big from the outside. It should also be noted that the space is pretty narrow, which means it can be a real challenge for larger groups or if someone needs to have a seat. The bigger challenge with all crowds is navigating through the sea of people when venturing to the other side - a problem that any popular place is likely to have and it's never more evident than at RSB.

Drinks are reasonable and the bartenders are pretty generous with buybacks and shots on the house. Cocktails can be a little watery at times, but just be sure to ask for your drinks to be extra strong. It can be a semi-challenge getting their attention when people are jockeying for position, but I recommend scoring a seat at the bar to avoid any complication. Overall, the staff is nice and know their regulars quite well.

RSB might not be a glorious bar by any real standards, but it serves a good purpose as a solid neighborhood sports bar. On occasion, they'll bust out a mini buffet of food for bigger events and can be a fun spot with a good group of people.

Went here the night before Thanksgiving with some friends & was surprised.  There's a nice mix of asian, white, hispanic & black patrons.  They were predominantly young but had a good mix of older folks as well.
I'd definitely be back for happy hour.

The kind of bar that looks like it has cheap drinks.  And it does.  Kinda pushy bartender the night we were there.  But seems like the regulars like it lots.  Like that it's pretty diverse.

Great neighborhood bar with friendly bartenders and buybacks. What else can you ask for when you want a drink?

This bar is pretty amazing. Its a place you would not find in Flushing. You figure it would be in Manhattan or Woodside. The pace hace has like 10 Plasma Tv s which are huge. And they have a Biggere one that is in the front. When I came they had all the games on. The bar is one of the longest I've ever seen and the bartenders are hot. The locals are nice and fun to be with. I just came from a Met game. It is so close from Citi fields. The 7 train is only a block away.  It was pretty koll. The locals actually introduce food I never even heard of before. I mean the bar doesnt have food but the area Flushing has plenty and the bartenders know about it. They get food delivered there and they order for you especially if you dont speak chinese. This is actually HANDSDOWN the best bar I ever been in. It is so friendly and the drink prices are good. Plus they give BUYBACKS. I had a great time. I made lotsa of new friends. I will be coming back.
