When I walked to to Scotch and Soda, I didn't know what to expect, but was shocked. Mirrors everywhere, neon lights, no windows, and big round bar with vinyl seats all around, high tops and four squars surround the dance floor. They do karaoke on Saturday and let me tell you, it's serious. There's like a kareoke club there. They all sit together and bring their own CD's. You heard me right.
Drinks are served in plastic cups by nice middle aged ladies. Prices are so-so for what you get and I am pretty sure it's cash only and you HAVE to pay as you go. Apparently they had problems with tabs?
They have an outdoor patio which is wildly popular since most of their clientelle love Virginia Slims.
It's located in the back side of the Gahanna Stip mall off Morrison but you'll want to park in the back and enter through the patio. They lock the throroghway after 9:00 so you would have to walk all the way around the shopping center to you park in the front by Kroger.
Definitely a good place if you're looking to impress older folks at karaoke, or have a flash back good time!
Definitely a strip club in a former life.
Another bar crawl stop, another pretty cool Gahanna bar. There were two small windows, many, many mirrors, neon lights and a bartender (actually a few) that had to have thought it was still 1985 given their fashion choices. I took notice of the stage, the DJ booth AND jukebox, and definitely took note of the cheap drink prices. We were here pretty early for a Saturday night so I can't comment on the type of crowd who usually drinks here - but I can only imagine they love Journey, Bud Light and big hair.
