I bookmarked Seasons 52 for my vacation, hoping to have a healthy meal and try something delectable that wouldn't be fast food. Seasons 52 and I share a lot of the same food philosophy - if the food is fresh, the quality will show. The ingredients should vary by what is in season. You can eat well without eating too many calories. Seasons 52 is also right outside one of the major malls in the area, which worked well for one of our slow days. We chose to eat outside and enjoy the sunshine.

I ordered the portobello turkey burger, double hummus, and Perry had the BBQ chicken flatbread. The burger was okay, as flavors tended toward the sweet side rather than the savory. I really enjoyed the hummus and thought it displayed great creativity and freshness. The BBQ chicken flatbread was tasty but rather unremarkable. I also tried a pomegranate soda which was yummy and not too sweet and syrupy. I wish I had time/space for dessert - they're mini and adorable.

Service is great, but do know that sitting outside means you should expect a tiny bit more of a wait since its harder to flag somone down. The servers are friendly, super knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to explain things.

While the majroity of food was just good, the service, philosophy, and ambiance push this rating closer to four stars. Keep doing what you're doing!

I was a little skeptical when I heard the concept. All the dishes are 475 calories or under and the menu changes with the seasons. I don't go out to count calories. If I wanted to do that I would stay in but I was with a friend that choose the restaurant so I thought I would make the best of it.

I ordered the hummus as an appetizer and ordered the steak tacos with chimichurri sauce. I also ordered a side of tamale bites which were supposed to be like tater tits but with tamale.

Nothing was spectacular. I would categorize everything as ok and lacking flavor. Pass in the bits if you are there. I left most on the plate. The three tacos were very small but then again they are counting calories.

They have a vegan menu available! Woohoo! It was great to actually have food to eat in a chain restaurant (Seasons is part of the Darden group that owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Long Horn Steakhouse).

The place itself is beautiful and the staff second to none.

I had the vegetable pasta and it was delicious. Also a great salad.

All dishes are under 500 calories which is awesome.

For two people with drinks (no desert) it was $68. I thought that was very fair considering my boyfriend had a steak.

I take away one star only because they could have a vegan dessert item that isn't fruit. Vegan baked items are easy as it gets to make!

However, overall, outstanding place!

You'd never know this was a chain... if you didn't know this was a chain. I was with a party of six. Everyone loved every dish ordered. Terrific service and a great place to people watch. Try the Arugula Salad and Flatbread Pizza.

I was taken to Seasons for my birthday and liked it very much. The interior is beautifully decorated in rich warm wood and it is hard to argue with their menu and all their entrees being under 450 calories. I had the grilled scallops with asparagus but substituted the truffle mashed potoatoes for the pearl pasta. I asked the server how this could be under 450 calories and be so rich and she told me because they used no heavy cream or butter; in fact she told me that there is no butter in the entire restaurant. The food was wonderful and I didn't feel all bloated after eating it so I know it was not full of oil and salt. The server took a picture of us and then when the bill arrived the picture was in a nice commemerative card for my birthday; very special. Desserts are good but served in a shot glass; kind of weird but I guess necessary to keep them lo-cal. Overall impression: great food and a good value with a healthy touch.

The food does not disappoint. Steak cooked perfectly! Make an early reservation. If you get there before 6 pm, they currently have a wine flight/flatbread special for $15 pp. it's a great deal in that it gets you about 2 glasses of wine and flatbread of your choice.

I can't give this place a 5 because it is a chain but it is very close. Everything I have had here has been really good. I also love the fact that they serve the Cigar City Jai Alai IPA. If you like IPAs and have not tried this, I highly recommend it.

This place is great whether you just want to get a drink and some appetizers or a full fledged meal. The flatbreads are great and I particularly like the filet for an entree. I also like the fact that the menu changes with the seasons.

The food is delicious, and you don't have to feel too guilty about eating here, since the menu gives you some pretty good nutritional info, and most of the items are really light in calories (but not on taste!)
The flatbread is great to share as an appetizer.

If you're into healthy dining this is the place for you. We've been here twice and left happy each time. Our meals were tasty, the drinks were generous, and service was prompt and attentive, but it's the desserts that I look forward to. So I have a sweet tooth. A big one. Seasons 52 desserts are all small, no more than a few tablespoons each, but the small portions enable one to sample lots of different things. German Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Cheesecake, etc. etc. :-)

The wine list is broad with many affordable yet delicious choices. We both like the large bar area. However, they had live music the last time we were there (a solo pianist/performer) and it was IMPOSSIBLE to have a conversation while the music was playing. I would have far preferred to have the music play quietly in the background so that it added to the ambiance rather than overwhelmed it.

love that their portions are good but hate that you leave after spending a large amount of money and your still hungry. Maybe good for lunch but not for main meal.

Great dinner tonight for our anniversary. We treat Seasons 52 as a special occasion place more because of the distance form home than because of any other reason. The food and service are impeccable. Although we had to wait a bit for our server to return to take our entree orders after taking beverage and appetizer, it was not an unreasonable wait. Aside form that, the service was prompt, the food well prepared and flavorful, and well presented - not overly arranged. It is nice to visit a restaurant that states their menu is seasonally inspired that actually uses seasonal, fresh ingredients. The only real disappointment was that they were out of the Stone Crab Claws that were listed on the special s menu. I guess I just have to take my wife out for another dinner.

Went here for my moms birthday and I actually enjoyed myself here. Im not usually into expensive places I like divey and local chill spots. So me and the family went there. I got a starter of a stuffed chille pepper which was awesome. Then came the main meal which was shrimp penne pasta. The shrimp had a light coat of jerk spices and was grilled perfectly. The pasta had an amazing sauce on it that tasted great. Then we finished with the little shot glasses of dessert that they have. I got the red velvet cake but I wish I had more than the little shot glass lol. Over all a great place and Id would def go back.

Such a great atmosphere, dimmed lights , romantic feeling. You can see the water from the huge glass windows. The staff is so attentive and hospitable. The food is fresh and the portions are just right. You won't feel too full or hungry. Always enough room left in your belly for a mini dessert!

The best restaurant in Broward. Came here on back to back nights. Very experienced wait staff. Food is amazing and unique. Small desserts are scrumptious.

After a very minor dinner snafu, the head chef came out of the kitchen and personally apologized, and made things right.

I am a loyal customer for life

Great ambience; think Cheesecake Factory environment. The dinner prices are a bit on the expensive side, so it's best to enjoy an experience here for lunch, where the prices are more bearable; think Cheesecake Factory. (For example, their flatbread appetizer is $9; my lunch duck salad was about $14ish.) Their food tastes like any decent restaurant chain; think Cheesecake Factory. All the food is 475 calories and less. Now this is where this place is different.

The portions are just right for the somewhat healthy conscious person. You'll finish your meal sated, but not stuffed. And a few hours later, you won't get that "itis" or feel slightly nauseated from eating unhealthy food like you would after a Super Value meal at McDonald's.

I got the maple duck salad, and it was very well made. The duck was moist, and they took great care in removing the usual fatty parts. My sister ordered the buffalo burger, which tasted like a restaurant style burger. The difference? after she finished eating it along with her accompanying salad, there was barely any oil/grease on her plate. Impressive! My brother ordered the blackened fish tacos, and they were pretty good too.

Good service. The food came out in a timely fashion. The decor and ambience is nice. Expect dim lighting, and the crowds less rambunctious.

They change up their menu according to the season, which means there are plenty of options to choose from year-round. The best part about this restaurant is that they don't sacrifice flavor, even though their dishes are sub 500 calories. Upcoming restaurants should definitely learn from them.

My favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale!

I had always thought this was an overpriced chain since it is nestled right next to a PF Changs in a mall, but oh how wrong I was. The boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night date and everything was just stellar from the ambiance to the food to the service.

Next time, we'll make a reservation in advance; we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes but our buzzer went off in less than 15. I would also prefer to sit in one of the booths in the bar area (first come, first served) since that's where they had a live musician singing and playing the piano. However, our table outside was pretty cozy and we could still hear the guy crooning to the classic sounds of Sinatra, Jamie Cullum and the like through some speakers.

All dishes are under 475 calories, the items change with the seasons and they even have a vegetarian menu! I thoroughly enjoyed a small organic arugula salad (watermelon, grilled golden beets, goat cheese, jicama, toasted pistachios) and a summer vegetarian tasting ("grains of life," soft taco, chili relleno, giant asparagus, cedar roasted tofu, mango chutney.) The boyfriend had a Mediterranean shrimp salad and they happily substituted mango for the cucumber since he hates cukes. If it were socially acceptable, I would have licked the plates. Everything tasted fresh and exceptionally flavorful.

The bill ended up being around $40 for both of us (before tip) which is a little steep compared to my normal dining habits but it was totally worth it.

BOTTOM LINE: Bring a date, service is great and you'll love everything on your plate.

Love the concept! Healthy food under 500 calories. Menu changes with each season and specials change each week, hence the 52. Clever.
The flat breads by far are the tastiest I've ever had. We tried the artichoke and feta recommended by our waitress, which was Ah Ma zing...I ordered a Rainbow Snapper with chipotle and santa-fe style greens from the weekly menu. It was absolutely delicious. For dessert I had the red velvet cake, which came in those sampler sized cups. It was very moist and tasted obviously lighter than a regular red velvet. This is definitely a place for calorie conscious diners. The food was cooked well, the service was great, and the menu items are creative and guilt free, so indulge away!

The Emperor has no clothes; or rather the plate has no flavor!
What is it about Florida waterfront restaurants? Do they think that because they have a great location and spectacular waterfront view they don't even have to try at turning out good food? This seems to happen over and over and folks, here we go again.
Another theme in Florida comes from the childhood story of the Emperor having no clothes and my darling the case is here once again at Seasons 52. This has long been a lovely location for a restaurant, waterfront near the beach with a great view of a drawbridge, how quaint.
Yes indeed, the Darden Corporation has struck yet another cord of mediocre with this one folks! They are the brilliant mind behind themed restaurants such as Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Eddie V's and Longhorn Steakhouse. These are places you would never see this vegan as I would rather fast the day then eat at any of them. So why did I try this you might ask?
Here they have put a healthy front on a shiny new venture. Chef Clifford Pleau, Corporate Executive for Seasons 52 has been brought in after a graduation from CIA and working as a saucier in Chicago. Right there I should have been forewarned. I have no disrespect for either but what do they have to do with Vegan and Vegetarian dishes.
I decided to try Seasons 52 the first time when an out of town guest was staying nearby and wanted fish. I had a much uninspired salad and figured I was done with it. Sure the view was lovely. The food my guest ate looked pretty but I know she has very little culinary taste, is happy with simple, so I did not go into a detailed tasting review with her. She did not give a yeah nor nay so I figured "OK that is over," and moved on.
Ah, but I found myself here again with a friend who loves fish and has a sophisticated palette. I needed to drop him at the PBI airport and figured what the heck. Throwing caution to the wind, I booked us a table.
We sat by the expansive glass windows and were served by an attentive yet not hovering waiter, a high point. Seasons 52 has a Vegan and a Vegetarian menu a second high point. Don't let this fool you as they are derivative of the main menu. Here is where the curtain comes down on the wizard. They are just meager and quite anemic copies of the chef's idea of a veggie version of his main courses. Good idea with bad execution!
We started with a flatbread, one of the restaurant's claims to fame. I am constantly wondering why pizza is becoming the only food. On a recent trip to Peru I was floored by the abundance of Pizza. Please explain to me the obsession. If you want to make it healthy I suggest using non-gluttonous flours, organics and really dress it up right! This was a thin cracker like white flour crust with a tiny bit of chopped spinach and some cheese. Whoop de doo!
I ordered a Tofu on a maple plank with an array of vegetables. I expected a slab of tofu that had been marinated and prepared for its final moments on the slab. What I got was a hunk of Tofu that had been side-swiped and slapped there, never marinated, and never seasoned! "For shame I say!" Have pity on this piece of sneaker sole like rubber stuff.
How on earth could you do that to Tofu? It is a sponge waiting for you to give it a personality. Here are some hints, Chefs: Squeeze it out then marinate it for two days in something with a bit of toasted sesame oil and perhaps aged balsamic. Give it a purpose for goodness sake!
Don't try to fool this vegan Gourmet into eating something as heinous as what you served up! Shame on you! The vegetables lacked flavor. Nice going fooling me with the name Darden, I actually imagined organic vegetables or at least something grown with nutrients so as to possess flavor and then there was the Asparagus.
In my training as a Garmage at La Camargue in Philadelphia I was schooled in how to handle the delicate stalks. First rule; liberate them from all elastic bondage. Second, snap the woody white ends and save them for stock. Third drizzle and never coat them with a hint of the most fragrant Olive oil and grill them in an iron pan until you see a hint of darkness. Finish them with another wave of the oil and a crack of course salt, a crack of good pepper and if you like a drizzle of aged Balsamic vinegar. C'est Voila!
What I received on my plate at Seasons 52 was coated in rancid tasting oil and possessed enough of the woody fibrous bottoms to build a shed out of! In basic training every chef learns the following axiom: If it is not edible, it does not belong on a plate. I ask you then, why on earth was I served these? I fileted my asparagus and proceeded to taste a few. The promised mango chutney was also dry. I am still trying to figure out how they did that! It had potential flavor-wise; I suggest they go back into the test kitchen with that one!
There were a few more vegetables mostly steamed: Carrots that were steamed in what tasted like sugar water, potatoes that were par-cooked and

Decided to try something new and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great with it's dim lighting and live musician on the piano. Service was great even though out was busy. Food was good but I think the serving size was insufficient. But the desserts are amazing! Price was also a little high but the food was worth it.

I love how all the food is fresh & changes according to what's in season. You get what you pay for....quality! How can you beat that. The strawberry basil martini (served in spring & summer) is THE best martini you'll ever try. The portions are just the right size which includes the desserts in shot type glasses. Perfect place to dine.

First off, the martinis are really good. They have this mandarin orange infused vodka which was used for a cosmo - so tasty! I also noticed strawberry infused vodka at the bar, which only means I now need to make another trip.

The food is all low calorie, healthy, and organic and most of all delicious! I did not feel guilty what so ever for stuffing my face. Highly recommend the shrimp and scallop ceviche, along with the Filet. Fantastic flavor!

Went there specifically because they claimed to have a garlic-free menu and a gluten-free menu, a requirement for the majority of the diners in our party. Turns out both of these had only 2 choices, and those were pretty basic to say the least. We asked our waiter to check with the chef regarding making some other choices either garlic- or gluten-free, and he did not do a very good job of getting this information for us. The gluten-free diner ended up with the lamb chops prepared without the char crust that is usually added, but they came completely unseasoned (what's so difficult about seasoning lamb chops without wheat or flour?), overcooked, and with asparagus that were supposed to be roasted but were (over)steamed. Gluten-free was no excuse for the asparagus, it was served the same way to another diner who had no dining restrictions.

The concept is good, but the execution falls short, and as others have mentioned, rather pricey.

It is so nice to go out to a nice place and yet not feel guilty about eating ten thousand calories. What a wonderful concept!

During my latest visit I shared a pork taco flatbread and had the artichoke stuffed shrimp entree. I was very happy with my choices. The flatbread was super thin and yet packed with so many flavors. The shrimp plate wasn't very big, but it was enough to feel full. Most places serve you gigantic portions so at first when I saw the entree I thought, "hmm, seems small". But after eating eat I did in fact feel full. I didn't even feel the need to order those cute mini-desserts they offer.

The prices are definitely fair for the amount and quality of the food. This really is my new favorite place. The night we dined there, there was live music - a wonderful piano player with a great voice. And our server had a nice disposition - very helpful and polite.

Overall, a pleasant evening out. I'm definitely going back!

Love the double d's here, as in dessert and decor. The dessert is served in an over sized shot glass, so if you don't like it you are not wasting food and if you do like it, you'll leave wanting more. The decor is nice, too, tastefully done, spacious, modern and semi upscale. We've eaten here twice and come to the conclusion we would rather eat something that isn't quite as good for you, but tastes better. The concept here is low calorie menu selections that are healthier and fresher by virtue of an ever changing menu. Selections are added or subtracted when ingredients are in or out of season. Personally when I find something I like on a menu, I have a tendency to want to order it, regardless of the season. This food could be viewed as the cats meow or a bit of a dog, depending upon your taste. It's worth trying.

Excellent EVERYTHING!

I cannot say enough about this place, from the high end service they offer (my friends brought me for my birthday and they had a card waiting at the table for me and the wait staff all knew I was celebrating, it was such a nice touch) to the elegant and polished dining room. Even the bar, if you choose to just sip and nibble, is a great place to socialize and be seen.

And don't get me started with the FOOD!! Nothing over like 500 calories, all organically grown and locally (I think) bought. It's simply more than my taste buds can handle BUT THEN ... the desserts ......

Okay, so they are served in this tall shot glasses and presented in a tree like serving tray so you can see ALL of the tantalizing flavors, colors and tastes. Have as many as you'd like because they are guilt free, right? I mean everything is under 500 calories anyway LOL

I hope they come to New England sometime, it would be a treasure of culinary delight if they did!

Yay! I'm a fan. If you are counting your calories but still want the amazing taste, this is the place to go. All items on the menu are under 475 calories

Love the food, the service and the health conscience concept!

The whole concept of the mini indulgence dessert is just the best... if you want to eat more healthy, but still want a little taste of the real thing... and none of the guilt. This is the way to go ! they put the dessert into a shot-size glass.

If you don't care about the calories then still a plus, because you get the chance to try more than one flavor in a visit... like i did! I had 4 different flavors hehehe they are sick good :P

Staff VERY friendly and live music!.

A novel concept!

An upscale restaurant that is health conscience? C'est non!

On the main menu, every item is 500 calories or less. I was skeptical at first, ordering the lamb entree but wasn't left wanting. Their chefs put together a great plate of food and I was amazed that it was only 425 calories. The presentation of the food and flavor match perfectly satisfying your stomach and your eyes.

The flatbread starters were tasty and the dessert "shooters" are also novel in that they look amazing and decadent but are actually small, but big enough to sate your sweet tooth.

I'm not saying this is a "diet" restaurant, but you probably won't scarf down 1000 calories for dinner either.

A healthy take done upscale and it's tasty! WTG seasons 42.

I went to their opening week and had 1 each of their mini-desserts--there went their calorie count gimmick!!
The few times I have been there--a little too pricy for my pockets--the food, service and atmosphere has always been tops.
There is Galleria valet and/or free garage parking.
I will take out of towners there for lunch and do suggest it to locals.

Who knew 500 calories or less could taste so good? OK, so the calorie limit is per dish, but it's still a pretty bold and effective concept that Seasons 52 executes well.

We tried both the seasonal (Mediterranean style) and their ever-popular plum tomato flatbreads. Both were light, crisp and delicious. The standout entree was the grilled lamb t-bone chops, but the grilled rainbow trout and the venison chop also were both very tasty.

Add to this a good, but not overwhelming, selection of wines, and attentive service, and you have a winner. I'm definitely saving room for dessert next time!

I'll make this review short(er) and sweet.

Decided to come to seasons 52 after getting a gift card here.
Had reservations for 8, didn't get seated till around 8:30 (it was super busy).

Our waiter was super friendly and very attentive, even with a full house.

The menu is pretty good and changes with seasons. My date and I tried the chili, rainbow trout, and the tuna crunch salad. The chili was amazing and I highly recommend you try it. The rainbow trout was equally as good, full of flavor and freshness. The veggies served with the trout went along perfectly. The tuna crunch salad on the other hand wasn't as good. The salad was filled with strange ingredients that I feel didn't mix well. Pineapple, nuts, and tuna isn't a good mix to me. Also, the dressing was very strange and didn't go with everything well. But I must add, the tuna was very fresh and tasty.

Overall, I would come back. I would definitely get the chili again and stay away from that tuna crunch salad. Service and the other food made up for the salad. I would warn though even with reservations you might be waiting awhile.

My father gave me $75 in gift cards for Red Lobster for Christmas. Who the hell eats $75 of food at Red Lobster, and secondly who would want to?

Thankfully Seasons 52 is in the Darden family of restaurants so they saved us from an evening of Red Lobster or Olive Garden disgust.

This was my first time at Seasons 52 and I would say that I was definitely impressed. We started with the steak and blue cheese flatbread. This is a GREAT appetizer. The flatbread is so thin that it does not fill you up and the steak and blue cheese were delicious. I also had the black bean chili which was pretty good.

For entrees we had the caramelized sea scallops and the Venison off the dinner menu. Both were very good - the scallops were cooked properly and had a nice sear on them. The Venison was also cooked perfectly - it was juicy with the right amount of pink inside.

The service here is EXCELLENT. Our sever was extremely attentive, but not to the point of being annoying. Additionally the chef came out of the kitchen to ask if we would like a variation to the menu since the stew for the venison was not ready.

I know that they try to keep all the menu items lower than 475 calories each, but if I'm going out to eat I'm going to eat whatever is delicious. Fortunately, everything we had was very tasty despite the caloric limit.

Seasons 52 is very good for a chain - I would say it's on par with a Houston's or a Brio.

I have reviewed the Coral Gables location a couple of times here:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/…

I had yet to review this one but I can tell you I can pretty much cut and paste all my 305 praise to this 954 location!

The layout is very similar and decor exactly the same. Went with a girlfriend and we had a great time. Our waiter was very nice and gave us enough attention when we needed it and enough privacy when we were deep in gossip, I mean, conversation. We split a bottle of Etude (fab go to pinot noir) over the steak and goat cheese flatbread and their BBQ chicken salad. We chose the pumpkin pie mini dessert and my girlfriend had the tried and true pecan mini.

Sealed the deal with cappuccinos and called it a night. I don't find it to be too pricey at all. It is a low calorie delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Good wine list, classy but not stuffy and just an overall great place.

This is always in my revolving go-to restaurant list.

This place rocks! Their menu advertises less than 500 calories for all their entrees but that's bullshit.

The food is outstanding (delicious)! It's on par with Ruth's Chris, Fleming's, PF Change's, Chop House, etc.

It's a classy joint. I recommend it big time. Just be prepared to spend some Benjamins.

Life is good and this is a nice place to enjoy it, especially since its clean and safe and near the beach.

Ft Lauderdale has their shit together. They do it right here.

This is great eating for anyone who wants to have a nice meal and count calories too. Every item is under 500 calories (alcohol probably not included.....LOL!!). I joined a friend here Saturday 8/20/11, as he ate a late dinner. (I had already eaten).

I especially enjoyed the custom flatbreads. We had the Grilled Steak and Cremini Mushroom Flatbread with fresh spinach and Wisconsin blue cheese. It was delicious.

For dinner he had Wood-Roasted Pork Tenderloin with herb polenta, broccoli, cremini mushrooms and shallot-Dijon glaze. I sampled it and was equally pleased.

I am absolutely not a wine drinker, but between the two of us we finished an excellent bottle of Selbach Riesling. Wowee..........

As a chocolate lover, I was convinced to select one of the deserts. I choose the Mocha Macchiato. I was not disappointed.

I think the beauty of this establishment is that you can make healthier food choices/portions and not compromise taste. This is a great concept. I shall return!

Located near PF Changs and Blue Martini, this place is outstanding. It is cool how they rotate the menu in a seasonal manner, which keeps the concept fresh. It also allows for evolution and improvement to the menu, because nothing is worse than a tired and played dining concept that refuses to die, like Miami Subs...
In my opinion, the thing that Seasons does best (apart from the stellar service), is their flatbreads. For the uninitiated, flatbreads are like swanky and fancy schmancy little appetizer pizzas, and then sum.
I enjoy the evolving menu, and I mostly enjoy cocktails and people watching whilst I devour the flatbread treats... I don't have a favorite, I think they are all fantastic.

I have been to this location several times, but just went for the first time for lunch. The menu was impressive. There was a huge assortment of salads and sandwiches. And of course, their signature flat breads are there.

If you have read my review about Seasons 52 at its Boca Raton location, then you know my feelings. I understand why people love this restaurant chain, but it is not just my cup of tea. While the calorie count plate size, seasonal menu rotation, and shot glass desserts are fantastic concepts, I just don't think the food goes beyond three stars. I generally find the flat breads to be meh (although the best one is probably the Ruben). and overall, the food just is missing some sort of pop or sizzle...maybe because they avoid cooking with butter or oil in order to keep that calorie count down. Who knows.
