Blue Martini

This is my spot! I like this location as many mention the tourist crowd is major but there are lots of locals as well. The drinks are good and the music great. Great place for people watchers as well, you will not be disappointed.

Disclaimer: I went to the Blue Martini during "Happy Hour" on a Tuesday (around 6:30PM)...

Atmosphere: As you go in, you are greeted by the psuedo-club/bar atmosphere that singles in their 20's and 30's come to adore. However, this seemed less like 'Happy Hour' more like 'Mid-Life Crisis Hour.' It was lots of guys showing off their newly bought hair and lots of girls showing off their newly bought assets. The waitresses were "pretty" I guess but the fact that they all looked the same was a little too Stepford Wives for me.

Drinks: I was actually surprised at the lack of drinks on the menu. My girl ordered a Pina Colada (something I would think is quite easy and typical of South Florida bars) only to be told they don't have them. We instead ordered the Blue Agave Martini (myself) and Strawberry Bliss Martini (her), and all we could say is wow. We are not the biggest drinkers in the world but these had to be the two strongest drinks I've tasted, and smelled, for that matter.

Food: The only thing that saved this from being one star. We ordered the flatbread pizza thing with Steak & Mushrooms... it was delicious. Hats off as I saw other food/appetizers go by and they all looked surprisingly good.

The service is not to good. We had to wait for 10 min for somebody to come.
Then, after we ordered we had to wait for 20 minutes for two scotches to arrive when the other people had the drinks and waiting to enjoy and toast.
After we ordered the appetizer the food runner came 3 times with other food orders that weren't ours...every 5 minutes.
The waitress was nice but the place is too cramped I was not feeling like in a Lounge at all...
